You don't have to be sorry (I wasn't offered)... I just don't particularly recommend those kind of channels because are made "for commercial purposes IMO", not for the people (if you are looking for advices in sneakers). For them is no bad shoe, nor they have an important problem ever... I mean they always are... Great! Somehow... :) Otherwise they might be a good source to see "new stuff" that is coming out. Mostly if you don't find any other videos but, you are curios how they look in other than some official pictures seen on the webpage of the brand.
My focus always goes back for "value for money" in footwear (and not just). Sometimes I do get "distracted" or curios with awesome cushioning or maybe "great colorways" but, in the end... what I care most... remains how much time can I get from them till they have to go to de recycle bin.
Thanks for the detailed review, man! I'm thinking of getting a pair of Duramo SL but the wide version of it, because I also have wide feet. I assume the wide version would have a wider toe box than the one you reviewed here.
Love your review! Very detailed and unbiased. I ordered one and can't wait to try them. I just started jogging 2miles and walking 1 mile three times a week. I am trying to improve my time and distance. I would like to do 10 miles per jog, but I know I have to ease into it.
"Love your review!" - Thank you! "Very detailed and unbiased." - I'm trying to show everything the way I found it. Without hiding details. Basically as close and as natural as it can be discovering a product, but thru my eyes. Some are thinking that I'm a bit too harsh or too picky, but its our money and is not easy to make them. So, of course I do have some expectations from every product. Buying online is not the same as buying in a physical store where you can check everything before and see well what you are going to pay. "I ordered one and can't wait to try them." - Try to lower down your expectations, I'm saying this because sometimes the people think that just because they've seen it on the channel they might have to be ridiculously good even though the price is at the lower end most of the time. Also remember that at first they might be a bit more firm (it depends what you had previously), but usually after 1-2 weeks of use, they will start to get softer and softer. Because are made with foam and foam tends to mold over time. Also a softer alternative it can be adidas Questar 2 M, those are even little bit better than these ones, but with more exposed foam unfortunately. "I just started jogging 2miles and walking 1 mile three times a week." - Sometimes the biggest thing is to... just... start. Next, is to make it a routine. " I am trying to improve my time and distance." - Normally is better and easier if you can find something "to do" while you are exercising. Like listening music, radio, podcast etc. That will animate you continuing without even knowing. It works great for me. "I would like to do 10 miles per jog, but I know I have to ease into it." - Nothing is impossible. In time you might even do more than that, although now it might sound to be a lot. Good luck btw!
Thank you so much for video! There is a really much effort that I can see, keep it up! I would like to ask, what's your long term use thoughts on Duramo SL? And do you think which one is better and you prefer between Duramo Speed and Duramo SL?
Sure, you're welcome! Most of the sneakers seen on this channel won't stay... So they usually go back after checking them. For a while I keep it them... But, in few months I was having way too many pairs. Since I don't want to loose living space for some sneakers, now are staying only the ones that I really need. None of those Adidas models went on my wardrobe. I have New Balance More v4, because I need it the extra cushioning... Duramo SL is a good sneaker for the price if you buy a pair without any quality issues. Duramo Speed I can't recommend them, because for me they were really uncomfortable. The front end has an arrow shape that "kills all the fun" in them. I hope this comment helps you somehow!
@@EasyLifeES Thank you so much for your lovely feedback and useful thoughts! Yeah, it definetly made me decide easily but I have a last question about that. Do you think Duramo SL can fit for run 5k-10k? I'm a cyclist actually but I'm want to run in winter. So I'm a beginner runner, it will okay for me I assume. In meantime, I found Adizero SL model which is more expensive than Duramo SL. As far as I browse the internet and read the comments, it seems like to not perfect at all. Accordingly the comments, they has the front end has a narrow shape and really uncomfortable.
Sure, I'm trying to be helpful every time when is posible. About Duramo SL for 5-10k. I can't promise you that they will be perfect but, they are a bit better than other tested on the channel as this price point. I don't know how is the durability over time with all these sneakers. I try to find major flaws without checking them and these way help the public to avoid some bad buys in running sneakers. Basically this channel I want to be like a filter (if you like) for thw bad value for money footwear that is available. I know I won't be able to find everything without trying them for longer periods of time outside, but if at least I can give a perspective to viewer's of what they should expect from this models that are interested without going in a store to see them... For me is mission accomplished. All my thoughts they should be take it "with a grain of salt"... Even I sometimes I buy products that after some use I see that maybe they are not worthy but, I'm trying to reduce that percentage a bit more every new day of my life. They are "hidden Ads" everywhere around us... Hopefully the footwear that gets my approval on the channel has a lower percentage of unsatisfied people and help them to skip the ones that are a "bad buy" or lower value for money. About the Adizero SL I can't say much because I haven't tested them just yet but, so far... With just taking a quick look... The outsole is thin (durability can be affected) and made from pieces (same problem here)... And what worries me a bit will be the upper, very perforated (not sure if it has padding)... So in winter will be a bit too chilly with them in my opinion. Unless you planning to wear them with some thick expensive "merino wool socks" that will deal well with the low temperatures and still are able to eliminate nost of the moisture with success while they are keeping your feet warm enough at the same time. Just a heads up on these issue! Otherwise about confort and cushioning in those... Unknown... So far.
@@EasyLifeES I really appreciete it besides the context. I'm glad and happy that because you're a wisdom guy I can say. Your approach on the subject we speaking, it is truly polite and sensitive. Furthermore, the effort and attention you give is precious. If we return to our topic, I'll buy Duramo SL probably according to my research. But in meantime, I'm comparing to Duramo SL between ASICS PATRIOT 13. Still undecided, haha. Thanks indeed for all information you gave. I subscribed your channel for trying to help and support increase your community to up! Much deserved!
@@sirac.kasgarli Thank you! I really apreciate it! Yeah, they are hard decisions to take these days, when nothing anymore is made to have a decent value for money... In the past we still had to make some compromises in between being "affordable", "lightweight or to have "better cushioning"., stability etc.. BUT now the "Safety & Durability" became also a serious problem to take it in consideration when we choose something new. The annoying thing is that with every new model "Durability & Safety" is even more problematic than the previous year (after "the price" issue, of course) than "the cushioning" or being "lightweight"... About that "ASICS PATRIOT 13" - after being "stab" 2 times (so far) in my exposed foam parts of the sneakers, because of "the exposed foams" from the outsoles that don't have full rubber while I was running in a park, now my first concern remains the "Safety & Durability". So, more rubber on them is now my priority... My health is more important than any of these brands! Why? Because the cushioning we can control it with a new pair of thicker insoles if we really want. I.E AliExpress is "flooded" with them (for 1-2 € are quite OK especially those that imitate "Boost material") or any other dedicated running gear store at this point. And the "lightweight issue" is not an "issue" anymore... all of them are extremely light weight. I don't need lighter than "this", because we lose in quality materials and durability... "Stability" usually is OK in most of the time, if they don't have very soft midsoles or they are made really "weird" like those for marathons, that sometimes have some EXTRA pronation that 99% of us... we don't really need it anyway!
If the look is not "too sporty" for your taste... And you need that extra cushioning in your feet...yeah, why not?! With skinny jeans maybe will go little bit more easy... And a more "tamed" color for the sneakers (something closer to black maybe) to avoid looking "too flashy". Or you like to wear joggers very often, then... yes.
Great review, thanks alot. I was wondering if you have experienced the adidas Performance Runfalcon 3.0. Where I live, they are the same price and I am kinda confused. I personally think that the Duramo look better, but I want to buy the ones for running (My budget at the moment is around that, so this is why I choose these 2). Thanks in advance
First of all thank you for the extensive details you provide in your videos. Rebook also have some budget models like Reebok energen plus 2 /Reebok energen 3. Try to make a videos on them.
The truth is that they are many sneakers on my radar these days and also people are requesting new models all the time and I want to try them gladly but, the problem is that I don't have much spare time for adding more sneakers and new sneakers are coming out like "the mushrooms after the rain". Is very hard to keep up with everything that is on the market, which is giant. I will try to add your request also to the list but, I can't promise you anything because they are way too many already there. I do large numbers of hours at my job and is hard to find time for everything I'm planning to do for the channel. If the viewers will be more solitary with this channel in the future and decide to Subscribe more often, maybe one day I will do only TH-cam for living and use all my time for the channel, till then... I will have to struggle like now and do as much as I can... although I know is room to improve this channel quite a bit... unfortunately. I'm sharing these thoughts with you guys, because I feel that is in interest of everyone to help this channel a bit in order to be able to help more of you in the end and find REAL thoughts NOT just paid by the brands "to be positive/friendly" no matter how many faults has the product! Is very important these days to find the truth from the content that you are watching and NOT to "consume" just another "hidden Ad" like many channels are doing, without any remorse... Just because that will help "his life" to be better. I want to be with the PEOPLE and NOT with the brands... The future of our kids depends of us in some ways and we have to do the right thing and not care "only for us" and be sure that we won't allow to have worst and worst more expensive products every year, from now on. Because that is what is happening right NOW. Maybe I wouldn't even knew myself "this" if I didn't had this channel but I can promise you that every year the products are less durable but the prices are always bigger than in the past!!!
@@EasyLifeES I understood your situation and thank you for replying. What you said is absolutely right. Brands, instead of creating durable shoes they are changing 1-5% compared to the previous model and claiming all new revolutionary model with increase in prices.
The problem is that "the changes" are made to reduce weight = amount of materials used in the shoes. For a while the big channels were trying to make us believe that everything is done for the consumer to have a better lighter shoe to run... But the problem is that NOW all of them are this way not only dedicated running sneakers that they are made for marathons!!! So the durability went to the garbage for all the sneakers, not just "Pro-ones"... There was the trick... They are lying us in our faces.
The cushioning will be good enough probably but being adapted for running I can't say how they are for daily use. Why not consider some lifestyle sneakers instead with good amount of cushioning?
theres a duramo speed there.. ive been eyeing to buy that too. Im just wondering if its durable and good enough for running many times on it. cause my shoes are worn out now. i need a new DURABLE pair.
With Duramo Speed I really encourage you to try them before placing an order in a physical store for +5 minutes, because although they look good and they are well made (the materials OK) they have a very important problem... And that is... the fit... I will explain... The end of the sneakers is more narrow than the one in Boston 12 (those are coming after I release the Ep132 Adidas Duramo Speed) and basically they look like an arrow and it will create pressure points to my toebox after few minutes with them on my feet. For the shape of my feet feels ...unnatural. They went a bit too far with that design this time. Boston 12 looks similar but, there I didn't had absolutely no issues with the fit! So, just a head up for you... Thank you for watching this episode.
Hi there, Usually 99.9% of running sneakers will do just well for 5-10k' s. The REAL question is which one will fit better to your feetthat are like THIS ?!? And for that you normally say: - I have "x" kg/lbs (here are 3 categories: a. 65 - 75 kg/143.3 - 165.3lbs, b. 75 - 85 kg/165.3 - 187.4lbs, c. over 85 kg/ 187.4lbs) and my height is "x" cm/m, which one will be a better fit considering that my feet are regular/narrow/wide and I'm planning to use them in "x" particular terrain (asphalt, dirt, gravel, mixed etc)? Because the weight and the height along with the width are an important factor when you choose some new shoes in running not just the comfort or the cushioning as many could believe. Also if you like consider reading "this" part (which i made it awhile ago and i thing that can be useful to anyone that is interested in this sport): How to choose your footwear: 1. Measure your feet (in the evening, or when they might be swollen). - length & width - take an A4 sheet of paper, your both feet by turn... the heel touching a flat vertical surface like a wall for example draw a ruff contur to get your footprint size and measure with a metric tape. Search in YT videos. - arch height over the metatarsal bones and over the instep bones - with a metric tape (optional). Be sure to keep the bigger numbers from both feet: i.e left has 25.7 and right has 26.3... we keep 26.3 value and so on. Or try a Brannock device in any specialized running sneakers store to give you a clue of your size. 2. Choose the way that you are going to use them: asphalt, mountain, field, forest, combined. They can be more rugged or "less aggressive". Running in park it won't be the same as in a forest (rocks, pieces of wood, dirt etc). You will need running sneakers or trail sneakers... 3. Take a scale and find out your weight (they are 3 categories here): - 65 - 75 kg (143.3 - 165.3lbs). You are lightweight, so the cushioning is NOT as much need it like for someone with a bigger weight (except maybe if you do recovery for any reason or you just enjoy it that way) - 75 - 85 kg (165.3 - 187.4lbs). You should start consider thicker midsoles to avoid future injuries. - over 85 kg/ 187.4lbs (over that weight). You should search a sneaker that can help your feet to "swallow your weight", otherwise your knees, hip, back etc. will start to give some pain after a while of use. 4. Count the number of km or miles/week: doing 100km (62 miles)/week or 30 minutes of daily walking is not the same. Here consider the type of rubber in the sole and its thickness 5. Know your footprint (study the sole of your used shoes) and also look at your plant if you have calluses and where... If you have them, something is wrong with your shoes (better see a podiatrist). 6. Try to know your ideal size and "the last" (this is more suitable for dress shoes and boots): Insert your foot and push until you can touch the inside of the front part and insert your index/little finger without effort or take out the insole and make sure that you have about 5-8 mm left over of the longest toe you have. Also look at the contour of the foot that is not much above the insole... The maximum width of your footprint should be around 10mm in my opinion, otherwise we will have injuries over time with pressure points 7. When to go and buy your sneakers: At the end of the day (i.e 8PM or after finishing doing a shift), the foot will be swollen and then you can add 5-8mm to have adequate comfort "over the swollen feet"!
Hi there, Like I've said in few places in my video (some timestamps that can be useful 00:00, 08:03, 14:25, 14:38, 16:15 ) I haven't try it the original version, but this model is not narrow at all. Generous space inside, so... no complains from me. I have regular width feet.
So guys, today I got my pair of Duramo SL M in gray color. I am using Puma Scend Pro since October 2023, 2-3 days a week running sessions for 6km on asphalt. Adidas is lighter but also looks cheaper. The sole of the Adidas is thinner and protector is not glued very well. I didn't run in Adidas yet but I can already do a conclusion. This sneakers are good for everyday use but if you want run you should look for something better.🧐
They are always compromises. That's why choosing a pair of sneakers is something so "personal". Everyone knows his/hers own needs... Idle will be to go into a big store, see what they have and tailor your choice after testing at least 3-5 pair in that price range.
I will like to keep the comments in English (as the videos are) if you don't mind in order to reach more people all over the world. Because many of you will read these comments too, finding here the answers that you also need in someone else questions. About your question, they run true to size for me (TTS ). The 8 US in Adidas = 8 US in Nike. Only few models over the years in Adidas had to be sized up +0.5. In this one it wasn't needed.
Like I've said in the video in few different timestamps (00:00, 00:44 and some others more...) they are TTS = True-To-Size, for ME at least. So go with your regular size in Adidas sneakers. Mine in Adidas is ES 41 1/3 or US 8... I hope this helps you somehow!
Yeah... is hard to find the truth these days... all of them trying to be *friendly* with the brands, that way they get the attention that they need. I... just try to stay honest and give a genuine opinion of the products that I try. And sometimes to give some advices when someone needs it and I feel that I can be helpful somehow. They can say everything they like about Duramo Speed... I cant recommend them... The front end is badly made so for me they arent an option. Duramo SL if is checked well before buying it could be a good running sneakers option for many people with lower budget.
O que é justo para a população do Brasil, que em sua maioria de classe média baixa... onde os preços convertidos em dólar são absurdos, o asics gel nimbus 25 mesmo, custa quase um salário mínimo 😢😢😢
@@FabioSilva-rw4kj Yeah... they (ALL) won't hesítate to increase their prices from a last year version to the next year version... is just sad, sincerely. The annoying part is that the newer versions will have even less value for money... because the rubber outsoles are degredading even more in order to reduce the use of rubber. That means this will bring a serious increase in garbage (and oportunities for them... again) and more selling products for them. That is why we need to look for better walue for money & safer sneakers, not just the ones that only want to be lightweight... We can NOT aford to be fooled with nice ADS. We have to be smarter than that!
At 17:16 we can see the movement (also called "rocker") of the sneakers. Being dedicated "running sneakers" they have a special cut under the heels that is adapted for running. In this particular model is not too pronounced as is in newer Supernova models (for example) that come out recently, but is still there and will affect your walking and standing with them in your feet (aside of that they also have a bigger stack that the normal shoes). That cut will affect the equilibrium of the person if they aren't used as intended. So... My advice will be to look for something else for gym activities or use them with serious caution if you are planning to use them for lifting weights because is a real chance to get injured if you use them for that. It's up to you but remember that for weight lifting they are dedicated shoes also that normally have firm outsoles and midsoles and much lower stack in order to control better the balance when we use them. I know that we all like to use 1 pair that does everything but that doesn't really work in real life. I hope you find this answer useful somehow.
Most likely not. They don't have the grip that you will need there, nor the resistance to dirt/mud and even the stability won't be the same (having a extremely big stack for that sport, you might end up twisting your ankle). They are designed for asphalt... so... they need a firm ground. This pair will be like a normal pair of shoes, but on ice. Your not skating... you are surviving. That will be completely opposed for the conditions that they were made to be used. For that sport Adidas (like any other major sneakers brand) has a dedicated line. I.E Adidas XCS are giving you exactly what you expect for that kind of running. As an alternative Terrex Speed could be more closer to both worlds. I mean running & trail. Is good that you are asking, because I'm almost certain that it might be someone else (somewhere in the world) that finds these questions/replies useful.
@@EasyLifeES exactly thank you for guiding with such in depth analysis 🤎. I am selected for basic army officers training so I need one which are durable as well as comfortable
@@siddharthjani717 "exactly thank you for guiding with such in depth analysis 🤎." - Sure you're welcome. I'm "here" to help every time I can. "I am selected for basic army officers training" - Congrats, great to hear that. I did my military service over 20 years ago, as a regular soldier. At the end of the 12 months they suggested me for a number of times to stay in the Army and apply to various academy's, but back then it wasn't for me. We used to do all our training only with the uniforms and military boots (of course). I'm glad to hear that things are moving in the right direction nowadays. "so I need one which are durable as well as comfortable" - About the durability I can't say much because I never tried a pair "like that", but about the comfort... the cheapest trick remains a good thick pair of insoles. They are many kinds out there, some really inexpensive ones and those can make a serious improvement if you add the right one for your needs.
Those are firmer than this Duramo SL (the stack maybe is less in those, the foams definitely were firmer). I only tried those in a store during my summer holidays for few seconds and I didn't paid too much attentions after seeing how hard were to my feet. I can't say much more about them... Since then... Questar... is something to avoid (for ME at least). I only remember having a huge midsole outside... inside... who knows.
I see. Do you have anything else to recommend for 60$ for gym and running 2-3 km? Nikes revolution 6 or downshifter seem to be worse than these adidas.
@@sotirisbakas7925 Nikes revolution 6 or downshifter - I never try it them (or seeing it in a store). "For 60$ for gym and running 2-3 km" - Although is not perfect the New Balance Arishi v4 (that I wish they were having full rubber outsoles to be awesome) are in that price range, were really impresive for ME. Those in comfort and cushioning would beat at least half of the sneakers seen in this channel at much bigger prices! Check them somewhere if you can, because they are worth it. Those (if I could right now) I will probably buy 3-4 pairs and re-sole them in the future, because otherwise are very good and I'm sure that the next version will be a lot worst... because this is "the trend" that I see right now. Making them worse, from one year to the other... (all the brands, not just NB).
@@bendavis01_03 Galaxy 6 and QUESTAR along with ULTRABOOST LIGHT COLD.RDY 2.0 are coming soon. We will see better how are them... and you know you will get the most sincere opinion that you can get these days from a TH-cam channel, based on my sort experience with them while I filming them indoors. Like I said, in my first comment... I wasn't too thrilled with them, when I've check them some while ago in a store for few seconds with them on my feet.
It depends on your personal needs. Duramo SL better cushioning, less durability on the outsole being thinner. And Ultrabouce less cushioning but, more durable outsole. Otherwise the comfort is very similar. Ultrabouce might have a little bit more padding (better in cold season), Duramo SL has a medium thickness in padding. So... That's why is more of a personal taste. Myself... Duramo SL because I need the extra cushioning... I have fasciitis plantar... So, I don't get to choose.
They are dedicated running sneakers, so I wouldn't recommend for other activities. Not even as lifestyle sneakers. The outsole is very thin for lifestyle footwear and the shape being so sportier won't fit for most of the clothing unless is sportswear, so NOT much room to use them with other than maybe joggers... Something else probably won't look decent. They are lifestyle sneakers (like Nike Motiva) that have even better cushioning and much thicker outsoles. Those I actually recommend them. That episode will come in the future on this channel.
@@DnCta It depends which one... version 3 is just OK... and the version 5 they are pretty well made for the price and I DO recommend them (I have a preview/short in Ep148.6 for the full episode of "Falcon 5 newer mode" that comes as Ep161 somewhere in the future).
@@DnCta Of course and ME and everyone else... right "there" is the challenge. They don't make them this way anymore. You can try Adidas Response, those so far are one of the best that I could find this year for running. Other sport... probably not (some sports requires other properties than the running shoes can provide), that's why exists "dedicated footwear" for every kind of sport that we want to do...
In theory your question is correct, but really in practice is more of HOW they are made those models. I mean: - internal stack thickness of the foam, - footbed material, - perforated midsole etc. Short answer will be" Light motion". But it MIGHT NOT be always the same, in the future models. What I mean is that you can have a softer foam, but the model of the sneaker to have less stack and a more rigid foam material to beat the softer one because is simply has more stack. Best recent example Questar 2 vs Ultraboost Light (Ep140)... Where 80€ "Questar 2 M" has more cushioning than 220€ Ultraboost Light COLD.RDY !!! Questar has firmer foam, but with thicker internal midsole and the overall effect is more cushioning than UB Light....
@@EasyLifeES thank you for a very detailed explanation. Would you say Duramo SL is good enough for a newbie in running? or should I go straight with Duramo speed or adizero SL?
Duramo SL - is one of the best releases in dedicated running sneakers from the last year. Just because it has an affordable price, it doesn't mean is a bad sneaker (by no means). Actually is way better in many ways that the some others that are even more expensive than these ones. The running sneakers that I recently brought on this channel in the past 2 years or so, was an personal effort to bring something that has a very good value for the money. From time to time I bring some expensive stuff too because of the curiosity, but most of the time I'm trying to find a good balance in between "price-build quality-performance". P.S: Duramo Speed - are a model that IMO are a *big fail*. So those I can't recommend even if you can find them for a price close to nothing. Those have a serious design issue... On the website they are advising us to go +0.5 size up, but in this case that won't solve the problem... It will just make it worse. The frontend is way too pointy (in an unnatural way) and it touches the toes constantly creating pressure points were normally that is never happens with any regular well done footwear. Adizero SL - are oriented for hot climates, or hot summer days and Duramo SL is more of all year round weather (except maybe very cold days of winter and rainy days for obvious reasons). In other words some are more breathable than others, but that is not a good ar a bad thing is a difference because in our collection of running footwear we kind of need more than one pair if we run the entire year. Same as we need "recovery days sneakers" a.k.a. "max-cushioning sneakers", for those days when we feel too tired and our feet are "against" of long run for some reason...
Unfortunately this particular model is not available for wide feet. Only for "regular feet". Adidas rarely have that feature. In NB you will definitely have more luck with that. In adidas you can try to search using the word "wide" and that way to see the available models that they currently have. I hope this comment helps you somehow!
Is not the problem that I won't. The problem is how long it will take when they are quite a number before those on my list already filmed. And most of them are related in between. So I can't change the order of them. If you don't have any hurry you probably will see them on the channel at some point. I just don't know to say when thea it will be. Like I replied to you last time, my only problem remains my spare TIME (and sometimes the budgets to). Like I've said note had been taken with your request and I will see when I will be able to get my hands on those NB Propel V4 also. Hopefully soon enough. Fingers crossed! :)
Thanks Orion for your input. It depends were they chose to use the reference points when they do the measurements in comparison with mine. In real life sometime may differ though... I've seen it happen in others channel's, discovering different dimensions. Also Adidas is posting the dimensions for a bigger size than mine... not sure if them are adding the insoles or not... I use ES 41 1/3 or 8 US. And them are using ES 42.5 or size 9 US, if I'm not mistaken. "That" might be a factor too (just speculating here), but take everything with a grain of salt anyway. Everything I post is only orientative, is not chirurgical precision. :) At the end everything is a bit relative/approximated. All the footwear tends to take eventually the shape of the feet of the person that is using them. Usually they will mold to our feet after few runs, the softness of the midsole is a big factor here. Probably even with just one run the dimensions will already be different, if we will cut them in half to see how they are in comparison with a pair new out of the box. I personally prefer less drop... That will allow me to still have a decent cushion under my toe box.
Hi, I usually run on either asphalt or easy dirt trails, covering distances ranging from 6-7km to 12-13km. Do you think the Duramo Speed could be a good fit for me?
Hard to say... because is not only asphalt... Gravel/dust can be an issue do to the exposed toebox to the elements in those Duramo Speed... Al that if the fitting is not a problem like it was for me (check that episode if you like). I will probably recommend Asics Novablast 3 TR for your "needs"... With the right discount can be found at the same price or even cheaper somwhere online. But it depends on you... your final choice. I hope this comment helps you somehow!
For 5km I don't think it will be a problem AFTER the break-in period, but the cushioning is not the softest obviously... for that price. IF you have the chance, try them in a store to see what to expect from them and then, buy them if you like them in an online store at the smallest price that you can find. As alternative you have NB Arishi V4 "with more exposed foam in the outsole"...but, quite a bit softer foam in them (those have Fresh Foam in them, which I really like). We always have to make some compromises... nothing is really perfect, even if is more expensive! So, "we have to pick our poisons"... :)

I don't like to talk about other channels... So my opinion I will keep it for me.
Because channels like that... I started to do mine.
@@EasyLifeES ok. sorry about that. well im looking for your upcoming review
You don't have to be sorry (I wasn't offered)...
I just don't particularly recommend those kind of channels because are made "for commercial purposes IMO", not for the people (if you are looking for advices in sneakers). For them is no bad shoe, nor they have an important problem ever... I mean they always are... Great! Somehow... :)
Otherwise they might be a good source to see "new stuff" that is coming out. Mostly if you don't find any other videos but, you are curios how they look in other than some official pictures seen on the webpage of the brand.
have you reviewed adidas duramol SL? the cheaper 1 ive seen in my place now. is it durable? and ok for long runs? thanks
Your videos are so well done. Very informative and enjoyable to watch. Thank you 🙂
Thank you very much!
I'm glad that you find them useful.
Regards,
I really like it your reviewing the not well known shoes that is good for the long run instead of well known shoes that are over other reviewers
My focus always goes back for "value for money" in footwear (and not just).
Sometimes I do get "distracted" or curios with awesome cushioning or maybe "great colorways" but, in the end... what I care most... remains how much time can I get from them till they have to go to de recycle bin.
The best review! You have done an excellent job 🥰☑
Thank you! I really appreciate it!
Thanks for the detailed review, man! I'm thinking of getting a pair of Duramo SL but the wide version of it, because I also have wide feet. I assume the wide version would have a wider toe box than the one you reviewed here.
Thanks!
If they are available in Wide (I don't remember to seen it) I'm sure it will be a substantial difference in toebox area.
That was a really good job, your review helped me to decide to buy this Shoes 😄. Keep on!
Great to hear that!
You're welcome!
Love your review! Very detailed and unbiased. I ordered one and can't wait to try them. I just started jogging 2miles and walking 1 mile three times a week. I am trying to improve my time and distance. I would like to do 10 miles per jog, but I know I have to ease into it.
"Love your review!"
- Thank you!
"Very detailed and unbiased."
- I'm trying to show everything the way I found it.
"I ordered one and can't wait to try them."
- Try to lower down your expectations, I'm saying this because sometimes the people think that just because they've seen it on the channel they might have to be ridiculously good even though the price is at the lower end most of the time.
"I just started jogging 2miles and walking 1 mile three times a week."
- Sometimes the biggest thing is to... just... start. Next, is to make it a routine.
" I am trying to improve my time and distance."
- Normally is better and easier if you can find something "to do" while you are exercising. Like listening music, radio, podcast etc. That will animate you continuing without even knowing. It works great for me.
"I would like to do 10 miles per jog, but I know I have to ease into it."
- Nothing is impossible.
Thank you for the review! Do you think they are going to fit well for quite narrow feet?
Thanks so much. Do you advice the duramo sl for casual wear or only for running?
If the look is not "too sporty" for your taste... And you need that extra cushioning in your feet...yeah, why not?!
With skinny jeans maybe will go little bit more easy... And a more "tamed" color for the sneakers (something closer to black maybe) to avoid looking "too flashy".
Or you like to wear joggers very often, then... yes.
@@EasyLifeES i just bought my Duramo SL dyou think it's "okay" to run on those or just for casual only
@@35pen61 Absolutely more than OK for running. They are made for asphalt, so they should do well for most of the people.
I haven't had the chance to check those Runfalcon's so far. I can't say how they are. Maybe at some point in the future.
Is the Duramo SL suitable for running?
Absolutely, is one of few that this year was made pretty OK. Considering the price.
I’m wondering if Duramo SL are comfortable enough for everyday walking and standing?
@@EasyLifeES thanks so much

Adidas Duramo sl or nike downshifter 13 is th best for 10km & 5 km runs ?
Hi there,
Usually 99.9% of running sneakers will do just well for 5-10k' s. The REAL question is which one will fit better to your feetthat are like THIS ?!?
And for that you normally say:
- I have "x" kg/lbs (here are 3 categories:
a. 65 - 75 kg/143.3 - 165.3lbs,
b. 75 - 85 kg/165.3 - 187.4lbs,
c. over 85 kg/ 187.4lbs)
and my height is "x" cm/m, which one will be a better fit considering that my feet are regular/narrow/wide and I'm planning to use them in "x" particular terrain (asphalt, dirt, gravel, mixed etc)?
Because the weight and the height along with the width are an important factor when you choose some new shoes in running not just the comfort or the cushioning as many could believe.
Also if you like consider reading "this" part (which i made it awhile ago and i thing that can be useful to anyone that is interested in this sport):
How to choose your footwear:
1. Measure your feet (in the evening, or when they might be swollen).
- length & width - take an A4 sheet of paper, your both feet by turn... the heel touching a flat vertical surface like a wall
for example draw a ruff contur to get your footprint size and measure with a metric tape.
They can be more
rugged or "less aggressive". Running in park it won't be the same as in a forest
(rocks, pieces of wood, dirt etc). You will need running sneakers or trail sneakers...
3. Take a scale and find out your weight (they are 3 categories here):
- 65 - 75 kg (143.3 - 165.3lbs). You are lightweight, so the cushioning is NOT as much need it like for someone with a
bigger weight (except maybe if you do recovery for any reason or you just enjoy it that way)
- 75 - 85 kg (165.3 - 187.4lbs). You should start consider thicker midsoles to avoid future injuries.
- over 85 kg/ 187.4lbs (over that weight). You should search a sneaker that can help your feet to "swallow your weight",
otherwise your knees, hip, back etc. will start to give some pain after a while of use.
4. Count the number of km or miles/week: doing 100km (62 miles)/week or 30 minutes of daily walking is not the
same. Here consider the type of rubber in the sole and its thickness
5. Know your footprint (study the sole of your used shoes) and also look at your plant if you have calluses and where...
If you have them, something is wrong with your shoes (better see a podiatrist).
6. Try to know your ideal size and "the last" (this is more suitable for dress shoes and boots):
Insert your foot and push until you can touch the inside of the front part and insert your index/little finger without
effort or take out the insole and make sure that you have about 5-8 mm left over of the longest toe you have. Also look
at the contour of the foot that is not much above the insole... The maximum width of your footprint should be around
10mm in my opinion, otherwise we will have injuries over time with pressure points
7. When to go and buy your sneakers: At the end of the day (i.e 8PM or after finishing doing a shift), the foot will be
swollen and then you can add 5-8mm to have adequate comfort "over the swollen feet"!
How are they different from the orgainal duramo sl? How do they fit ? Do they run narrow?
Hi there,
Like I've said in few places in my video (some timestamps that can be useful 00:00, 08:03, 14:25, 14:38, 16:15 )
I haven't try it the original version, but this model is not narrow at all.
Good review! ❤
Thank you!
Si soy 8.5 mx me recomiendas medio número más o es fiel a la talla ese modelo de tenis?
I will like to keep the comments in English (as the videos are) if you don't mind in order to reach more people all over the world. Because many of you will read these comments too, finding here the answers that you also need in someone else questions.
About your question, they run true to size for me (TTS ).
The 8 US in Adidas = 8 US in Nike.
Only few models over the years in Adidas had to be sized up +0.5. In this one it wasn't needed.
What size shoes should we buy ?
Like I've said in the video in few different timestamps (00:00, 00:44 and some others more...) they are TTS = True-To-Size, for ME at least.
So go with your regular size in Adidas sneakers. Mine in Adidas is ES 41 1/3 or US 8...
I hope this helps you somehow!
@@EasyLifeES thanks broo
Sure, you're welcome!
Aqui No Brasil, nao tem review desse tenis, julgam o Duramo Speed melhor que o SL, e nem o qualificam, justamente os mais caros sao analisados...
Yeah... is hard to find the truth these days... all of them trying to be *friendly* with the brands, that way they get the attention that they need.
I... just try to stay honest and give a genuine opinion of the products that I try.
Can i wear Duramo sl for normal gym workout and then cardio ?
Should I buy it for cross country runs?
@@siddharthjani717 "exactly thank you for guiding with such in depth analysis 🤎."
- Sure you're welcome. I'm "here" to help every time I can.
"I am selected for basic army officers training"
- Congrats, great to hear that.
"so I need one which are durable as well as comfortable"
- About the durability I can't say much because I never tried a pair "like that", but about the comfort... the cheapest trick remains a good thick pair of insoles. They are many kinds out there, some really inexpensive ones and those can make a serious improvement if you add the right one for your needs.
Have you tried galaxy 6 or questar? Are these better for the same price?
(all the brands, not just NB).
galaxy 6 has unsusual embossed quarter. my heel was absolutly unfixed. I recomend PUMA Mixte Scend Pro instead. Got it for 46$.
Which one you prefer ultrabounce or duramo sl?
It depends on your personal needs.
Duramo SL better cushioning, less durability on the outsole being thinner.
And Ultrabouce less cushioning but, more durable outsole.
Otherwise the comfort is very similar. Ultrabouce might have a little bit more padding (better in cold season), Duramo SL has a medium thickness in padding.
So... That's why is more of a personal taste.
Myself... Duramo SL because I need the extra cushioning... I have fasciitis plantar... So, I don't get to choose.
Are they durable and can I use them for other sports or are they only for running
@@EasyLifeES and what about adidas runfalcon
I need some durable shoes for running and other sport
Soo its rubber under this shoes?
Yes. The grey color layer.
duramo sl or galaxy 6?
Duramo SL has way better cushioning... So I prefer it that one without any hesitation.
which is softer cloudfoam or light motion?
In theory your question is correct, but really in practice is more of HOW they are made those models. I mean:
- internal stack thickness of the foam,
- footbed material,
- perforated midsole etc.
@@EasyLifeES thanks a lot! more power to you and your channel. continue your efforts as you're able to help a lot of people. subscribed!
@@josephpaulodiaz5499 Thank a lot!
I really appreciate it!
Is it good for wide feet??
Unfortunately this particular model is not available for wide feet. Only for "regular feet".
Adidas rarely have that feature.
In NB you will definitely have more luck with that.
In adidas you can try to search using the word "wide" and that way to see the available models that they currently have.
I hope this comment helps you somehow!
Kindly try New Balance Propel V4 :)
Update: Good news! I just placed the order for Propel v4 (& 1080v13's).
heel drop ? 힐드롭 ?

@@EasyLifeESadidas say 10mm
At the end everything is a bit relative/approximated.
The Duramo RC. looks like theSL
The outsole doesn't look like it is suitable for off road running.
For off road are dedicated sneakers... Trail sneakers...
Can adidas duramo sl be used for running 5km daily? Please reply
