To me George started his career in a time where being gay was a detriment. He was right to hide it TO THE PUBLIC as it related to his music. Thank God he did or we would never likely have heard his true brilliance. Everyone he knew personally said he was an open book. The only relevance these interviews have to me is that I really try to understand why we lost him and I love listening to his intelligent commentary. His heart giving out at 53 with no family history was from years of abusing his body physically and mentally. The stress the paparazzi relentlessly caused him is largely to blame for this as like everyone who has demons he could not just deal with those alone without that type of additional stress. The way they went after him is not normal. He once said he wasn't built for being a celebrity as far as not having a thick enough skin and I believe that to be true. As the years pass and his music stands the test of time, people are forgetting about the bad and just remembering the brilliant artist he was. Rest in peace dear George as your legacy is secure just like you wanted. Those of us who were loyal fans always knew that would be the case. We miss you and you will never be forgotten ❤.
