I HAVE A QUESTION , why do u need to add a LAYER MASK to the adjustment layer here as there is NOTHING WE ARE MASKING HERE. whatever adjustment were needed to the image we did it with the help of adjustment layer, so why do we need to add a layer mask on the adjustment layer??? i didnt get the reason for it. dont we add a layer mask when something or a part of the LAYER or the main image needs to be masked or removed or hidden ???. if u can explain . thanks

Very glad I can help.
I think your confusion might be that a Layer Mask can apply on both “Image” and “Adjustment Layer”.
In most cases, as you said, the adjustment layer is applied on the entire image.
But sometimes, when we only want to adjust some area of the image, we will have to add a layer mask on this adjustment layer.
Like in my video, I want to show my audiences before and after. So I use the “Adjustment Layer” + “Layer Mask”.
