- In the snowy plains of northern Mongolia live the Tsaatan nomads. The young Quizilol and the beautiful Solongo are in love. To prove to Solongo's father that he is mature enough to marry his daughter, Quizilol must show that he is capable of raising a reindeer herd on his own. His family gives him a young stallion to start with. However, during a blizzard, the stallion escapes into the mountains. If he crosses the Russian border, he will be lost forever. The young man has no one to rely on but himself to capture this reindeer. He will be able to marry Solongo, only if he succeeds.

An excellent documentary. It is good to see the Tsaatan's nomadic way of life. I have never seen any documentaries about these people anywhere else. They must be hardy people to survive in such wild and remote areas.

I love these documentaries, they remind me of our own indigenous communities who also believe in spirits and supernatural beings who try to trick you so you get lost in the wilderness. This is in the Peruvian Amazon.

Excellent documentary!! The capturing of these nomadic peoples way of life is astounding. They are truly hardy people to live in and with such a harsh environment. Masters they are. They care for their traditional way of life. May they always overcome obstacles and continue with such a tradition way of nomadic life.

Likewise. I used to fanstasize about living in the wild when I was a boy. It turned into a a great camping hobby, but it's nothing like how these nomads live. I find their gestures and facial expressions interesting, nothing in excess, nothing insincere.
I find myself respecting these men and women so much I work hard during the day but these people work hard from wake til sleep it's go so much respect I ha e for these people

@Kousseila shakur same language, different accent. Also people from city have lived far from traditional Mongolian life, have forgotten many many words, every day words in country side life. Life changes, our language changes.

Very beautiful and great people who have still living in their forefathers traditional life of hunting and capturing the animals and domestiicate and make them traind so living with wild animals is really good I love this Life
Heartwarming story. Just one point, they do value modern medicine and medical - dental care. Normally part of gaining access to these people as a tourist is in some way providing or helping to provide this.
This is why. I only watch TH-cam, a terrific video.
Subtitle is a must.and i hope theres a part 2..excited to know the ending of their love story

Quizy is a ladies man , girl from his tribe , hunter’s daughter and got the bull and walked in to his tribe camp site like a king he be like i want all the smoke 😂😂😂😂 well done quizy my neezy

Quizilol got his girl? Or did the hunter's daughter sway his heart? She seemed sad to see him off. His father was so proud when he brought the bull back.
I have a feeling the elders cut that bull loose on purpose.
Please update us on the young hero whether he got his love ..
that's what I would like to know too. Also why did the hunter give him the white reindeer skin. the subtitles cut out during that part of the talk.
