Find a guru in a small conservative Christian town in America is nearly impossible. I think I found the Guru I need as a Mumukshu already with your teachings online Swami.
Of a thousand, one might strive for liberation. Of a thousand of those who strive, one might find God. Of a thousand of those who find God, only one knows Him. If you are walking this path now, you have walked it before. Never stop. The goal is as certain as the day itself.
An external guru is a blessing, but our inner guru is the true gift. And the way we access that inner guru is by worshipping that which shines inside you as I. “I Am That I Am”
I feel that finding the right Guru is as difficult as the other two prerequisites, being born as a human being and yearning for liberation. May Swamiji bless us to seek out the proper Guru that we all are seeking.
@@hille3142 As Swamiji elaborated verse from Vivekachudamani, access to a Great Guru comes only with the grace of God. You do not have to do anything to find a Guru. After all how can you/we determine that the Guru you find is qualified and what credentials you possess to call the Guru you find, a qualified Guru or not. Leave it to God, Guru will find you. Like and eyed man can find a blind but the blind doesn't have capability to find the eyed man. So we the blind will have to pray and leave to God's grace and wait till a Guru is accessed and finds us.
I don't mean to pop a trick question...I love your content and lessons, and in some ways you do attain to the title of 'guru'. Then there is the aspect of the self as 'guru', brahman...and a third 'guru' which is life. Or something like that. We all have access to 'self' and 'life', yet we find ourselves enlightened by the 'third-part' guru, you. Oh, wise teacher, THANK YOU!
Shatsampatti - The Six Treasures This principle of Gyana Yoga comprises six principles: Shama - withdrawal of the senses and the mind. Dama - control of the senses and the mind. To restrain oneself from negative actions, such as stealing, lying and negative thoughts. Uparati - to stand above things. Titiksha - to be steadfast, disciplined. To endure through and overcome all difficulties. Shraddha - faith and trust in the Holy Scriptures and the words of the Master. Samadhana - to have determination and purpose. Whatever may come, our aspirations should always be directed solely towards our goal. Nothing should ever be able to dissuade us from this.
"We" are all prisoners born of "God's" conception, therefore "God" has yet to be born. Try and think of what happens in the split-second an egg becomes fertilized., now imagine on a god-scale from within higher intra-dimensional levels that "we", along with nature/physical reality, are the byproduct of that process unfolding. So there's no reason whatsoever to fear or worship., THAT which "we" all are already a part of. The Shiva Linga is the precursor of the Holy Trinity in describing what is taking place across intra-dimensional levels of existence of a singular being's metamorphosis into..., a God? Just as the physical universes experience multiple crunches and expansions like a heartbeat., this being "we" are all part of, will eventually reach a stage in its progress where it will withdraw into itself all of the knowledge or data acquired through experiences from those separate individual consciousnesses whose Souls were able to make it through and beyond the life stages of Mineral, Vegetable and Animal. That's all "we" are., packets of information whose ego-identity becomes sacrificed upon subsumption into the One. For those seeking.., Do any of you know what you're really asking for in seeking ultimate liberation? If you enjoy inhabiting a human or any other form capable of expressing your individual character and Will., you're not ready for mergence. With that said., Who are my parents?
@M D it’s evident you are extremely confused kiddo. Might I suggest a different organized religion ? Actually that’s part of your problem , any religion with 33 million gods (little g) will split you in 33 million ways ! Now sit down in peaceful prayer and ask God to reveal himself unto you ....
Hiranya does mean gold. But it also implies something imperishable (as gold doesn’t really degrade). Golden treasures are normally hidden away hence swamijis translation of “hidden”. Sanskrit words have literal meanings, but historically rishis used more of the implied meanings than the literal ones. It helps open up the mind to new meanings behind everything when we start thinking about deeper meanings and not just the superficial ones.
How do i meditate correctly *to find atma*? Am I supposed to actually say the Ohm Mantra while meditating? Can i just listen to the Ohm Mantra while meditating? Please make a video teaching meditation for atma in depth.
Maybe this will open your eyes, Atma alone reveals The acitivities of your mind and senses Like a Shining lamp reveals a clay pot But your mind and senses cannot reveal atma No other consciousness is required to reveal The self revealing conscious self, atma, Like no other lamp is required To see a lamp shining by itself Thats Verse 27 and 28 from Shankara
Lol this story is hardly a useful parable , it’s absurd to think someone would go out and start digging holes without proper research. It doesn’t take a swami to tell me happiness cannot be found outside of myself LMAO. Through observation and common sense we see people across the globe seeking happiness through women, sex, money, materialism, Etc but their search is endless and sin is only pleasurable for a season ! True happiness can only be found through selflessness and self sacrifice , helping others even when we don’t want to, we cannot “THINK” or “MEDITATE” our way to happiness , it must be by actions only !

Greetings from another small conservative Christian town in the U.S. 😊
Of a thousand, one might strive for liberation.
Of a thousand of those who strive, one might find God.
Of a thousand of those who find God, only one knows Him.
If you are walking this path now, you have walked it before.
Never stop. The goal is as certain as the day itself.
The way he narrates is GOLD. Thank you. 💙
Lord Krishna declared; "Amongst a thousand people, one might strive for liberation." Swamiji, you remind me of the phrase; the road less travelled.
I’m studying English for understanding what you are saying ❤️
Thank you very much for making me have a passionate feeling to study !!
It's good .
Swamiji,s teaching is like treasures only.

This process of teaching, that to-real life lessons, through stories in our culture is truely amazing.

Swamiji, those who dislike your preaching are like those farmers who make fruitless efforts to find treasure by digging here and there in the field.
