  • Akshansh Gupta, 32, has just completed his doctorate from India's prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in brain and computer interface. Mr Gupta has cerebral palsy, a neurological condition that severely limits his movements and speech capability. He cannot walk, operate his own wheelchair or even feed himself. India has more than 25 million disabled people but the country severely lacks proper infrastructure to support them.
"I feel that if you are determined, you can achieve anything. But you have to take the first step, until you do that, you can't expect the world to support you," he told the BBC.
Video journalist: Neha Sharma, produced by Shalu Yadav and Vikas Pandey

      I HATE TRAFFIC WARDENS!
What the hell does that have to do with anything . You sound like one of those American assholes who only watch Fox "News" and learned a new word today. I learned the word Guevara and Marx today , now lets use it in a sentence.

I thank the BBC for making this video available.I think Akshansh Gupta is incredible. Here is a link to another video of someone with CP.In it, she tells her fellows at college how she wishes to be seen. I think that Dr. Gupta would agree with it. themighty.com/2015/11/student-with-cerebral-palsy-has-perfect-response-to-those-who-pity-her/
