Blood Meridian is my 2nd favorite novel of all time ! I even did my own analysis of it too. It sounds like we both had a similar experience with it. Such a great book! :D
I think the judge would say our age is between the age of killing God, but what have we replaced him with? The judge is a monster, but none the less he is a monster of perfect discipline his craft of documenting every creature he comes across his treatise of what exist without my knowledge is without my consent and his practice of war as the ultimate decider of things, set him apart as the one who has killed God, but has replaced it with his own perfect and devotional like way of life.

I recommend reading Armor by John Steakley; it's a wonderful companion piece to the themes of Blood Meridian.
