He got hit by: two naut AAs, a yone w, the edge of smolder ult, a single smolder q, and a single smolder AA. The build is still good. But that last fight doesn't really showcase it, since no one ever focused him.

Is there a good AD alternative to Swain that you'd recommend adding to the pool that is most similar playstyle? I think being able to Teamfight and take on the whole team is something I love with Swain... and he has tabs on the whole map with W... I have Kled Mid who can rush to their fights with Ult but no way to take on multiple at once. He seems like he's meant to splitpush mostly.
I actually think full magic penetration build worth a try. Malignance-cosmic drive- zhongya hourglass- sorcerer boots-shadow flame/abyssal mask- cryptbloom/void staff. Another one can be black fire torch-sorcerer boots-cosmic drive- zhongya hourglass- liandry mask- riftmaker
3rd item dosent have to be abyssal if it dosent fit, abyssal is nice with AP on team against AP. So if they have very little feel free to delay it and get armor stuff on 3rd instead :D

Wow that is actually insane, its so crazy good against crit champions I was legit the demon last fight
270 armor becomes 429 (after rounding up) effective armor with 30% extra reduction. Idk how you got to 455. Calculation is (100 + 270 [armor]) / (1 - 0.3 [crit resilience]) - 100.

Liandrys/Zhonyas/Spirit visage/Rylais is just the best items on Swain.. with sorc shoes you just get ccd and they run out of your ult

In this build particularly, what’s the reasoning for going malignance over blackfire? Extra magic resist shred in the malignance zone?
more shred yeah, you get it cheaper and blackfire is best on ap builds but we build tank items only after cosmic here
