Within a few days, my 2 favorites TH-cam channels have posted videos, you and Bad obsession motor sport! You both have the same basic approach, but you manage to do it with less space, less tools and a smaller budget. Nonetheless, your project is no less an accomplishement! And like them, it took you years to get where you’re at, because you also do it on your spare time. I just hope they watch your built, because it’s so impressive.
Means a great deal to me to be held up there with the likes of the BoM boys! They do know about the project, but I don't think they are active followers of it. Cheers Alain, really appreciate the kind words! 😎🤜
@ I’m a professional mechanic with 45 years experience, I know quality work when I see it and looking at your videos, that exactly what I see. I understand why the videos are that far apart, everything you do has been well thought and researched and these things take time. Keep it up.
This build reminds me of the time I toured the inside of a WW2 submarine where every void outside the walking area was conformed to accept an operation component. Think 5 side cabinets etc… when his is all done and painted and sealed I hope that those visible structures are painted light enough to be seen an appreciated. This build is not a celebration of horsepower per pound rather it is an exercised in boundary pushing and engineering triumph. Many would have faltered in the duration of this build but anyone attempting this build would have fallen by the side of the road desiccated by the amount of energy and thought expended to keep moving forward. Keep up the excellent work both of you have delivered.
As much as I agree it's not all about hp/ton or maximum weight savings, I do still hope it weighs less than the sub you referenced! 😉 I imagine most of the firewall componentry will be invisible once the car is completed, but some large access panels could be removed at car shows so people can get a small glimpse of the jigsaw puzzle lying beneath! Cheers Craig, that really means a lot to me, thank you for the kind words 🙏🤜
Thank you for your channel which allow me to follow along. After a full career of being a commercial building I am now on a walker and your travails allow me to reactivate my analytical brain. You have many talents, dry humor being on of them. and I really appreciate belong allowed to occupy your project while you work through this. Very few people, very few, could have pulled this off. I hope all your dreams are realized.😊
Every time I watch one of your videos, I come away tremendously impressed by your extremely clever usage of space and materials. I didn't think it would be possible to carve out more tire clearance without interfering with your pedal travel, but you pulled it off! Kudos!
It was a balancing act, but thankfully it worked out in the end! So glad we didn't have to just reduce our turning angle, that was my worst case fallback. Cheers man, means a lot to me! 😊🤜
As a GT6 owner from the early 80s I follow this channel with both admiration and curiosity. Of course, at the end of this project, there will be little "GT6" left. Obviously that's the point. Probably should be called a GT8.
Really glad to have so many people along for the ride with us! I know a few locally with GT6's and they're awesome little cars stock, once you start to upgrade things though, there is very little that can be left alone. Amazingly, so many owners are still intrigued by our project which is honourable considering our "less than pure" approach to it. I sleep easy at night knowing the old drivetrain helped get another GT6 back on the roads though, so at least the overall population has grown. 😎 We thought long and hard about GT8 ... GTV8 ... but GT6R is what stuck. First off, there's documents of a proposed '66 GT6R Le Mans project that never happened. Second, GT6 is the car ... a GT8 is "accurate" but unsearchable ... and the "R" is for "restomod" so this is still accurate. Lastly, the idea for a while has been a poor man's Jag F-Type R ...which is the modern take on the old E-Type which the GT6 was the poor man's version of. So it all ties together in the end 😊 Cheers ✌️
I found your Triumph project videos a few years back and immediately subscribed. I have been following your progress ever since and I am amazed at what you have been able to achieve without a fancy workshop full of the latest tech n tools. Sadly my days of working on cars are behind me now but how I would have loved to have inspiration such as this back in the 80's & 90's when I was in my groove and my wife called herself a "car widow". Hopefully this inspires others to get their fab hat on. Lots of love & well wishes from the UK 😉
Great to have your continued support Mike, thanks for sticking it out over the years! 🙏 Likewise, I hope our big project/small space and basic tools approach encourages others to give building a go! It can be easy to give up when CNC machines and Instagram welders make your goal seem out of reach. Thanks for the kind words and I wish you all the best! 😎🤜
Welding table, loving it. I have been looking at building one custom to fit MY needs / space for years. Great ideas and some effort boost! Well done as always, Thanks.
Looked into building one and it was cheaper to just buy this! Metal prices have been crazy ever since the "virus" hit ... glad to have saved the hassle of drilling ~200 holes though. 😅 Really appreciate it Dave, hope the ideas can help you find the perfect solution for your own needs. All the best to ya 🤜
Yours is my absolute favourite you tube channel. You are a hell of an engineer, and I've met a few. You have done and continue to do things I can only dream of. Thank You for putting it all on you tube!
Fantastic series - complete madness of course but splendid none the less. Let's face it, they are building their own car which happens to utilise the outer shell of a GT6 - I suspect this could only be to make things as difficult as possible as it is so small but how they are doing it is fabulous. I have been watching from the beginning and enjoyed every episode. I do have a GT6 though this series has not made me think of adding a V8 to it!
The madness has sure set in by this point! 😅 We never imagined it turning into what it is, and to go back with this knowledge, I would do things a bit differently, but that still does not take away from how happy I am with where we are! So great to have your continued support in the project and I hope you enjoy many more years with your GT6, I do still love them in their stock form, even if that may not always be clear! 😎✌️
Great editing, tempo and choice of what to show. That you work together with your father is so nice. Something you can look back at forever! Love to follow this project
Thank you, really glad you appreciate the effort! Making these episodes is more work, than the work on the car itself... so I'm glad it's worth it. I'll never forget this time spent with Dad, it's the reason behind the project and what makes the car invaluable to me! ❤️
The algorithm has changed so much over the years, I think if I was uploading this content even 6yrs ago, we might have grown faster ... but as it is, we're finishing the car no matter what, so the videos will continue as long as I'm able! This episode has performed better than any previous ones in this time period, so hopefully things will start to catch on. Cheers man, always appreciate hearing from you 😎🤜
Fellow DIY car builder here! Just finished installing my steering, brake booster, and clutch cylinder, roughly right along side you guys on the total progress. Big difference is I have you guys as an example, so a big thanks to your work blazing the trail on these subsystems and components. A fab table is definitely now on my list (the scrap wood table has many burns lol). Great job, and thanks again for sharing the footage and lessons learned!
Great job Nick! Don't underestimate the progress you've made, it can go unnoticed sometimes but it's all important stuff! I've been so grateful for Bad Obsession Motorsports among other builders, as watching a build happen is invaluable ... glad our project can serve as some help to others too! 😎 Cheers man!
My favorite shed builder ever…the GT-6 is one of the coolest triumphs ! I will be interested to see how you will mitigate firewall heat…..Rock on dude.
We'll definitely need a healthy dose of heat shields and insulation... the GT6 was always a hot car having just a plastic transmission tunnel, so we should be able to improve on that at least 😅 Cheers man, that means a lot to me! 😎🤜
What a week - a Fanatik update with loads of brackets and welding, and a BOM video with custom circuit boards but nary a bracket in sight. LCS - like, comment, subscribe … Patreon for the win.
There were miles of complicated electrical brackets on a piece of FR4 (have engineered 15 layer PCBs, believe me, those were brackets, pretty shiny silvery ones but definitely brackets. They even had rivets!)
@@FanatikBuilds I had to giggle when you said "Well, if it weren't ruined before..." - it reminded me of Nik Blackhurst saying the same thing with the same inflection. P.S. I wanted to yell at the screen "Think of it as lots of brackets and channel your inner Blackhurst" - but then I realised I don't want this build to take quite that long to be completed. LOL
Congrats to the welding table! Now you have a legit full car factory in your garage, which helps a lot doing things, and even following Jeff sometimes twice 😂 Some day, which hopefully less than 9 years away you’ll be soldering some custom extra flat dashboard gauges on this thing … 😅 👍
Glad you found the series man, I hope you'll enjoy what's to come! Have fun with your Opel there, looks like you've made good progress on it so far ✌️🤜
I can't understand why you don't have more subscribers, having been with you since episode 1. I love the seat-of-the-pants, make-it-up-as-you-go design vibe. Very old school hot rodding.
Probably because 99% of people don't know what a GT6 is. I had one in the late 70s and even back then it was an odd bird to see. If this was a Lambo he would probably have 500k subscribers. To Fanatik Builds, job well done. People just dont realize how much time something like this takes. I dropped an old school 350 Chevy with a Muncie 4-speed into mine, but it was a hack job. What the GT6 really needed was the range rover 3.5L V8, much stronger transmission, and rear diff from the factory.
Cheers Greg, I think Mizmo is on the right track... it's a rare car whose name doesn't grab any attention (hence why I've buried it in the title). You'd think the shape of car in the thumbnails would though, it's a good looker! You'd also think something different from the status quo would be by definition, intriguing... but what do I know! 😅 Thanks for watching, and please, share with some friends, it all helps!
@@FanatikBuilds I was driving mine around in the early 80s and I thought it was a nice car but nothing extraordinary. However I was surprised about how many complements I got on it. The downside IMO of the stock GT6 is it was under powered and had a weak transmission and weak rear diff and I broke both. And it was a hot car in the summer.
Game to try almost any new skill! Not sure if that's shortening our timeline or increasing it though 😅... probably the latter! So glad you enjoy the videos and have learned some stuff, that's fantastic. Appreciate the kind words, cheers Paul 🤜
Your commitment to 'good enough isn't quite good enough' is good enough for me. Thanks for the content, its always great to see one of your videos pop up.
I can't imagine that job having been acheivable with the old WorkMate - the table is a serious upgrade to your metalworking capabilities. That's taking nothing away from your own skills, just acknowledging what having correct tools can enable. I suppose the passenger side will be a breeze after this one's finished!
We could have made-do ... but the accuracy wouldn't have been anywhere close! I can't believe I waited this long, but I never imagined we'd have the space for one. So glad things worked out 😎 ha, yeah it should go a little faster the second time around, usually does thank goodness! 😅✌️
Cheers John, appreciate it very much! TH-cam is my main occupation these days, though I'm hoping to see some more growth as we push on. Dad's a retired CPA and I went to a trade college for Industrial Millwright (just decided it wasn't for me). I always thought I'd go for a Mechanical Engineering degree, but there's far too much time spent at the computer, and not enough handling tools! Still figuring things out though. All the best to ya! ✌️🤜
Man, that render is looking SOOOO sweet! I can't wait for you to finish it, and get to enjoy the fruits of all your labor! Maybe you could even bring it down for a car-show in MN sometime. It's not THAT far from Cehnehdeh!
Yeah, not sure how I imagined it going any easier, but here we are! 😅 Ah, the mysterious force of OCD ... too bad about the levitation part, that could seriously come in handy otherwise! 😉✌️ Cheers man, hope you're keeping well!
Should have got that thing years ago! 😅 Cheers Steve, I'm really glad you're enjoying the project. Changing something this much and still having it be appreciated, means a lot to me! 🙏
Looking at the other comments to date, I absolutely agree... you do an amazing job at the engineering and fab work. Your new fab table seems to be just the ticket! I look forward to each and every episode.
There's a definite possibility of that 😅 Awesome little cars, but by no means built to modern standards! Things were different in the 70s 😎 Cheers Richard, appreciate it and enjoy driving your GT6, hopefully we can too someday!
To skin that assembly I would cut individual panels to go between each of the square tube members. Basically a bunch of smaller rectangles. Set them in ~1/4" and it will add aesthetic value.
Means a great deal to me Allan, cheers! It's been a busy fall with other projects, but we will hopefully will have at least one more episode out by New Years, so keep an eye out! All the best to ya 😎🤜
Whenever I watch your videos I can’t help but think that maybe you might consider renaming the channel to CRAMPED SPACE GARAGE. 🤣 It is amazing what you accomplish in the limited space you have available!! The fab table is a great example of upgrading while not sacrificing valuable floor space!! The frame reinforcement is again quality work!
That would be a perfect name honestly Brad! 😅 If I ever make a second channel perhaps that would be it! Really glad with how the table turned out, should have got one years ago... cheers, and thanks for the kind words! 😎🤜
Friendly norwegian here again.. Once more a awesome episode! One thing I don't understand, why doesn't this channel have more subscribers than it does? C'mon people, SUBSCRIBE!!!
We've outperformed any previous episodes in this time period, so that's promising! Here's hoping the algorithm finds the right viewers to show it to, and in the meanwhile YES! Please share with your friends, it does help! Cheers man 😎🤜
Beautiful work this is an amazing project. Have you thought about inserting a tube down the gap between the inner and outer sill? Keep up the fantastic work. Gavin
I have thought about that actually, got the idea from Project Binky! Really should have done it while the new sills were being installed though, and that was long before we decided to restomod the car. The 1x3 chassis rails running under the sills do still set us in the right direction though, and we'll be making a series of body mounts along them to really tie things together. I'm imagining a total of 22-24 bolting points holding the shell to the frame eventually, so it should be pretty stout! Cheers Gavin, really appreciate the kind words 😎🤜
I mounted my roll a round tool box to the bottom of my bench permanently so the whole thing rolls around together. I also put 2x3 square tubing in the rocker panels to tie the front and rear subframes together with the cage in my Firebird
Nice work gentlemen. For the difference between North American ( I am unsure as to your location) and English style race car construction I would recommend the you tube channel " Project Mosquito" , but start at episode 1 . To those who may not know the history of the Mosquito aeroplane, it was a very successful WW2 twin engine fighter bomber made from plywood and was extremely fast due to its lightweight construction. Yes, I accept that the Fanatik Build has a wopping big V8 power plant so the frame needs to handle it. Keep up the good work boys!
We're in Ontario 🇨🇦 David!✌️ The whole concept of a lightweight powerful sports car is perfection, but keep in mind that we're not going for an all out track car... I want this to be a comfortable long distance cruiser, which is why it's got A/C! Also, our region is flat, with straight roads = nothing interesting for a car that priorities handling. We've never owned anything with a V8 before, so the point of the project was to just have fun and learn new things. All the additional structure and bracing will have certainly added weight, but I'm estimating a finished dry weight of ~2400lbs which is still light by any standard! Cheers 😎🤜
I have no hopes of beating the BoM boys to the finish line! But ... Nik being Nik ... he may re-engineer the whole thing again, which could buy us some time! 😉✌️
Awesome job. That's a very beefy torque box area now. Suprising that section is only 6lbs. I'm curious what the car will weigh/weight distribution. Can't remember if the battery is in the rear to help balance that a little.
The finished structure should massively improve the rigidity of the chassis! I'm hoping for around 2400lbs dry, and as close to 50/50 as possible, though it will still likely be a bit front heavy. Never mentioned it on camera but yes, we'll stick a nice heavy battery in the rear passenger side to help offset things a bit! 😎✌️
@FanatikBuilds Sounds good. I've said it before but love your attention to detail and problem solving skills. That amazing car is another step closer to being back on the road, and definitely higher build qaulity then when it was new. Big improvements.
been a minute, nice to see progress. (yep, upgraded my SBC MGBs engine, aluminum heads, back to single carb, more power= more fun)----------your skills/car makes my "B" seem stone age--(though have 10K miles on it now)
Cheers Chuck, your continued tweaking is awesome! Glad the B has been working so well for you to have 10K miles on it already, I'm looking forward to finally firing up the GT6 someday 👍
Great mod on the table! Are you feeling well? First video I've seen where your boots are tied... And knowing that you are a fan of Homebuilt by Jeff confirms we can be friends (not that you care to be friends with a random YT commenter....)
I really enjoy when you and cameraman (dad?) are talking on film. Good chemistry and buddy/friendship commeradery ❤ As me and my friends say sometimes we need expert guidens , i dont have one available, so i found the dumbest teammate and just do the opposite of what he recommendeds 😂
We need more silliness in the garage honestly, sometimes my head's in a space and I take things too seriously! It's been amazing to share this project with Dad and years down the road I will always look back at this as the most memorable experience of my life. Ha, sometimes that's the way things work, we both take our turns playing the dummy I guess 😅✌️ Cheers!
Nothing shits me more than doing a job more than once. But I do agree with you. If it's not right it's not right. Better off to do it again, in your case again again then just good enough. That car is far better than anything it would have been if it had just been restored. It'll be amazing when you get it on the road. Bloody nice work.
Dad sometimes says to me GETMO (good enough to move on) ... my OCD hates this phrase! 😉 Cheers man, I really appreciate that, thank you for the words of support! 🤜
Thanks for catching the older episodes! I know the early ones are harder to watch 😅 ... hope you'll enjoy how things progress as we go forward, episodes usually come out the last Friday-ish of the month. Been busy with outside projects recently though so it may be November before EP42 comes out. Cheers! 🤜
Be sure to also factor in your 3D printer when you get to internal stuff, like making molds for the door cards or using a 3D scanner to design instrument cluster mods for the dashboard. And don't forget to use high-temperature filament that can withstand cabin temperatures during the summer.
I really like what you and your dad are doing. I am doing basically the same thing to a 1978 Monza wagon. Except I am using a 2007 Pontiac solstice drivetrain and suspension. Keep up the good work.
It essentially is! The Datsun came after the GT6 so in many ways it's just a larger, more practical, more reliable version of this 😅 though I like to think we've solved the reliability issues by now. 😉 Cheers!

@25:00 As someone who has done a lot of automotive fabrication... spend some time learning how to fill larger voids. EG, take multiple passes over an hour (giving time to cool and not warp), but essentially I've filled gaps much larger than that with MIG/TIG welding. Also recommend you bevel edges and leave more gaps between metal tubing to "fill" with weld material. I am seeing a lot of instances of welding two pieces together then grinding flat, which removes most of the weld/strength. whereas if there was a gap for the weld to go into, you'd end up with a lot more strength...
I've had my fair share of filling voids, but other than leaving a small gap for MIG welding, it's just better all round to have a good fit up. Any edges that get ground down have always been bevelled by the way... no need to worry👍 but thanks for the thought and concern!

It's amazing what a couple of "tools" can do! ... and the angle grinder is pretty impressive as well! 😉😅 Cheers man, appreciate it ✌️

If this goes on for 10 years.. 😂
Yep, I concur with that.
But I was expecting the funk to be got out....
Fantastic video. The welding table was as good investment and has probably saved you a load of time.

SO glad to see the boys from across the pond back in action! Been greatly missing them and their story!
@@FanatikBuilds bloody brilliant isn't it.
Now you have a legit full car factory in your garage, which helps a lot doing things, and even following Jeff sometimes twice 😂
Some day, which hopefully less than 9 years away you’ll be soldering some custom extra flat dashboard gauges on this thing … 😅 👍
I always look forward to your updates 🙏
Cheers Luke, I'm glad you enjoy them! Thanks for the encouragement!
Form and function! Your attention to detail, skill, and patience blow me away...👏
Too bad it'll never be seen again when we're done! 😅... thank goodness for TH-cam where I can at least remind myself! Cheers Andrew 🤜
Heyy ! New project to follow.. thanks for popping into my home page...
Your Fabrication Skills are Perfect. I understand your frustration with its Not Right, you have to fix it! :)
Really appreciate it David, some may call OCD a curse ... I consider it a blessing! 😅😉
Serious engineering you guys are so skilled .can't wait to see next one awesome
Really appreciate it Jay, hope you'll enjoy what's to come!
Thoroughly enjoy your OCD approach to great craftsmanship. Keep it up! Hats off to showing the mistakes as well. Really, very good work👏
Cheers man, appreciate it! No sense hiding the screw ups, they're how we learn! 😅
I hope that you are keeping all your work on file , I would like a copy once your GT+6 is complete for my own Triumph.
Haha, not bothering to keep all the templates, but the overall concept is in video form for all to enjoy! 😉✌️
Amazing work. I can see how your skills have developed over time and how adventurous you are right now.
I have learned much from your videos
Game to try almost any new skill! Not sure if that's shortening our timeline or increasing it though 😅... probably the latter! So glad you enjoy the videos and have learned some stuff, that's fantastic. Appreciate the kind words, cheers Paul 🤜
You guy's are surgeons with an angle grinder. :)
I mean, we should clarify for the passerby that surgery with an angle grinder is probably not a good idea!... but thanks man! 😉😎✌️
Fantastic fabrication, shared with a few friends to spread the love!
Really appreciate that Jake, thank you very much for the help and support! 🥳🙏🤜
Cutting disc manufacturer should sponsor yuo guys! 1mm cutting discs
What did we ever do without them !!
Ha, that would be awesome! It's blown my mind how useful the grinder and assorted disks have been! 😎✌️
@FanatikBuilds curious who's make do you use,I use ones for stainless steel
For me this has got to be the best build on TH-cam at the moment.. awesome 👍🏻
Considering the number of other channels and projects out there, that is a huge compliment, and it means a ton to me! Thanks man! 😎🤜
Wow 😮 seriously wow. Love the build and the engineering is so much fun to watch. Your narration is really excellent 👍🏻
Really appreciate that Stew! So glad you're enjoying the series 🙏🤜
Nice! Build me one when you are done.
Your commitment to 'good enough isn't quite good enough' is good enough for me. Thanks for the content, its always great to see one of your videos pop up.
Loving the problem solving and attention to detail!
Cheers Robert, it's amazing how even something so "simple" can be so complicated! 😅
Credit to you ! You and Jeff great help!!!
Great work! You're certainly cramming a lot into that small Triumph outline.
Push, shove, and cram! The only way to make some of this stuff fit 😅 Cheers Chris, really appreciate it!
Excellent episode! This is really good work.
Glad you enjoyed the update Patrick! Really appreciate that 😎🤜
You guys are doing a great job. I am always amazed at what you can do with what you have. BTW, what is your day job/background? Any engineering ?
Ah, gotta love compound angles LOL. Lovely work!!! Trust in the OCD. It's like the force but more frustrating and much less levitation LOL
Yeah, not sure how I imagined it going any easier, but here we are! 😅 Ah, the mysterious force of OCD ... too bad about the levitation part, that could seriously come in handy otherwise! 😉✌️ Cheers man, hope you're keeping well!
Fab fab table! Really appreciate your videos and what you're doing to one of my favourite cars.
Really appreciate it Tom, thanks 😎🤜 the fab table has been a huge help already, looking forward to using it more!
I own a 1973 GT6.
I think there was more metal in that corner piece you made today and there was in the original car. Great job as always.
There's a definite possibility of that 😅 Awesome little cars, but by no means built to modern standards! Things were different in the 70s 😎 Cheers Richard, appreciate it and enjoy driving your GT6, hopefully we can too someday!
Great Job guys! It is a piece of Art as well as a Fire Breathing Hand built Street weapon! 😊 I Can’t wait to see it Ripp’in!!!
Appreciate it John, that means a lot to me! Can't wait for that moment myself, we're getting closer bit by bit! 😎🤜
To skin that assembly I would cut individual panels to go between each of the square tube members. Basically a bunch of smaller rectangles. Set them in ~1/4" and it will add aesthetic value.
Yes, but act as a mud trap.
Got a similar idea that should work well and not trap as much dirt as Pashak pointed out 😎✌️
Lost for words guys. Just a fantastic piece of fabrication. Keep up the good work both. Have a great Christmas and New Year.
I know. A mystery.
We've outperformed any previous episodes in this time period, so that's promising! Here's hoping the algorithm finds the right viewers to show it to, and in the meanwhile YES! Please share with your friends, it does help! Cheers man 😎🤜
What a fantastic way to end my week! I so look forward to your videos. They never disappoint!!!
Really appreciate it man, glad you enjoy our antics! Hopefully a shorter wait for the next one 🤞✌️
Wonderful episode. Loved it!! I am very much impressed with your design-on-thefly expertise and perseverance. (I am a former GT6 owner, too.)
Thanks very much I'm glad you enjoy what we're up to! Great that you had one too, not enough people know about these cars. 👍
We do it nice because we do it twice! Seriously though, really nice work
My OCD would have kept me up at night if I didn't fix it! 😉 Cheers man, appreciate it!
Thanks for the reply. I really hope that one day I’ll cross the pond and see the car in person 👍🏻
One of the best projects out there 🤩
Thanks Jed, that means a lot to me! 😊🙏
I mounted my roll a round tool box to the bottom of my bench permanently so the whole thing rolls around together. I also put 2x3 square tubing in the rocker panels to tie the front and rear subframes together with the cage in my Firebird
Both good solutions! ✌️
This fab is bananas, awesome work, inspirational
Thankfully the car should be a good deal stronger than a banana now too, which it wasn't from factory! 😅✌️
The new weld table was greatly needed 💯 Alot of homework indeed nice work too...🙂👍🙏
Cheers my friend! Should have got a table years ago 😅✌️
Very nicely done.
Appreciate it Pete! ✌️
Cheers 😎🤜
Great work Man! I was just about to go to bed, but couldn't resist your video! It's now 2.51am in the UK!
Thanks for staying up to watch it Robin! Hope it was worth the late night 😎✌️
Amazing fab work
Cheers Dean, appreciate it 😎🤜
Oh hell yeah! I’ve been waiting for an update on this amazing build!!
Hope it was worth the wait Vince! Hopefully not so long for Ep42 🤞🙏
Another great job bud and as usual great attention to detail , theres one thing there will never be another like it out there lol 😎😎🤘🤘
Appreciate your kind words as always Karl! Ha, I'd be shocked if anyone out there is crazy enough to build another one like it! 😅 Cheers! 🤜😎
Great work… when you mentioned interesting sheet metal’ing those angles i thought you could beat the metal over Kryten’s head from Red Dwarf!
Not familiar with the movie but a quick image search says you're probably right! 😂
Great work, as always!!!! Thanks!!!!
Really appreciate it, thanks for watching! 😎🤜
Once again, VERY impressed!
Cheers Harry, bit by bit we're getting there! 😎
This is like watching an episode of young project binky. .
Not really. He puts out progress videos more often than every 24 months! 😂
It's a race to see who gets done first. 🙂
I have no hopes of beating the BoM boys to the finish line! But ... Nik being Nik ... he may re-engineer the whole thing again, which could buy us some time! 😉✌️
Always impressed, great work.
Thanks John, it's good to see things progressing, even if slowly! All in the right direction 😎🤜
@FanatikBuilds Sounds good.
I must be slipping, that's not like me at all! 😂 Cheers Tom, hope all's going well your end ✌️
I enjoy thinking of things you should do while you assemble some of these parts, just to see you do it further along in the video! Nice work!
Haha, great minds think alike! 😎
As always looking great but... where's your anti splatter spray for your new fab table
Probably need to get something going there! ✌️ Cheers man
I really enjoy when you and cameraman (dad?) are talking on film. Good chemistry and buddy/friendship commeradery ❤
As me and my friends say sometimes we need expert guidens , i dont have one available, so i found the dumbest teammate and just do the opposite of what he recommendeds 😂
Love the work, as always!😊
Cheers man, always appreciate hearing from you! 🤜
I've been binging since I found your build and have now caught up . Thank you and keep up the momentum 🏆
There's a million+1 uses for it in mind! 😎 such a cool piece of technology.
The definition in the dictionary for Over the top is Fanatic (just add the k)
Haha, thanks man 😎 I guess even the dictionary can have it's occasional spelling error! 😉
Awesome ❤
Thanks Jonas! 🤜
Superb work Michael!
Really appreciate that David, thanks very much! 😎✌️
I really like what you and your dad are doing. I am doing basically the same thing to a 1978 Monza wagon. Except I am using a 2007 Pontiac solstice drivetrain and suspension. Keep up the good work.
Sounds awesome, enjoy your project James and I hope you'll like what's to come here! 😎🤜
Excellent work. I'm enjoying your build.....
It’s Official. You have OUT Bracketed #Projectbinky 😜
Is that even possible?! 😅 Cheers man, really appreciate it! 🤜🙏
Looks like a mini fairlady Z! 👌🏾
It essentially is! The Datsun came after the GT6 so in many ways it's just a larger, more practical, more reliable version of this 😅 though I like to think we've solved the reliability issues by now. 😉 Cheers!
O man just last night, I was searching to see if you had posted a new video. Just what i was craving today
Cheers Michael! Always appreciate hearing from you, hopefully a shorter wait for Ep42 ✌️🤜

I think you just won viewer of the year! 😎 Thanks for everything Manfred, I'm so glad you enjoy what we're up to! 🙏
Brilliant! I wanted to be in bed 40 minutes ago but, ugh... fine.
Sorry for keeping you up Mike! 😅😉
I love it when that happens 😁🫵🏻
Same i feel asleep trying to watch it. Not boring at all, just stayed up to late
