Spot on! Couldn't agree more! And being from Cincinnati I hate not having you on the team anymore, however, I will forever be a fan of yours! I was hoping you would give your thoughts on this much respect!
Gotta love Yadi. He's like the tough, but fair and kind older brother of the league. Always looking out for people, but also keeps people in line. Pure definition of a vet. Also, huge props to Nick for letting Yadi say his piece with his hands behind his back. Gotta love the respect.
We in cincy miss your personality and confidence on the mound. You quickly became one of my favorite pitchers that ever put on a reds uniform. Wish you the best with the dodgers Trevor!
Such a shame that you were in Cincy during Covid times without fans. I don’t think you realize how much you energized this entire city and fanbase. Thank you for being you.
True story: I used to live in St Louis from early 2013 to late 2015 (essentially 3 years). I spent most of my spring n summer in 2013 at Busch Stadium (no, I'm not a Cards fan, BUT that fan base truly is top notch). Yadi was already an icon at that point. And he was also the HARDEST player to get an autograph from. I got a signed ball from every single player on the cardinals from 2013 and 2014. All of them- EXCEPT Yadi. Fast forward to 2015. I come across a few tickets to a Cards vs Brewers (I think) game. We get GREAT seats (1st base side, midway up the base path between home and 1st, THREE ROWS back, so like RIGHT THERE). As the game goes on we notice any time an inning ends in a strike out, Yadi holds onto the ball, then as he walks to the dugout he scans the crowd to find a kid to give the ball to. My son tries in the 3rd inning, no luck. 4th inning, no luck. 5th inning, no luck. 6th inning, no luck. Son is pretty bummed at this point, especially when he realizes 1 kid ended up getting 2 balls from yadi. 7th inning? I notice Yadi look directly at my son. I tell him hurry down there, and just yell "Good job Yadi!" (My son was like 4 at the the time, so I kept it clean lol). Yadi looks at him again, smiles, points to his hat (my son was wearing a cardinals red #4 hat with a silhouette of Yadi) and says "nice hat kid" and reaches up and hands the ball directly to my son. He's frozen with excitement! Comes back to our seats "Daddy it worked! Yadier Molina really gave ME a ball! From the game! Daddy! It was YADI!!! HE HANDED MY THE BALL! YOU GOTTA TAKE A PICTURE!" all excited and totally NOT realizing Yadi was still watching him, laughing his ass off, but finding my son's excitement absolutely priceless. Safe to say Yadi made 2 fans that day. My son for sure, and me for being that excited by my sons excitement. The wait was well worth it. I still haven't gotten a Yadi autograph, but I consistently check St Louis Sports Co in St Louis and Collectors Corner in O'Fallon Illinois for a Yadi autograph signing. I'll have him sign that ball one day!
It made my heart so happy to hear Trevor Bauer comment/break down a Reds game again 🥰. Definitely a fan of Castellanos showing the pitcher up after hitting him
Because of Trevor’s channel I have gotten back into baseball. The big networks need to take note on this. Getting to know someone personally and see the behind the scenes adds another level and engagement to the whole game. Next level shit
Idk if it was intentional because the pitcher missed in the same spot (when Castellanos) stole home. Maybe it was but it seemed like it was his tendency when he was off a pitch for it to end up high and inside on a righty.
As a Red's fan, I am happy that Castellanos wants to win. I was born right after the Reds won the 90 World Series and I've seen some atrocious teams. They've only made the playoffs four times in my lifetime (I was too young for 95.) Nick's comments give me hope. No disrespect to the Cardinals either but I am tired of feeling the losses against them, they just find ways to beat the Reds. After getting blown out on Opening Day it's just nice to see the Reds and Nick in particular, have some sense of competitiveness. I hope the Redlegs win getaway day and keep this going. I know you can't win every day but I want everyone in the clubhouse to feed off that energy that Nick supplied to get the job done. Wishing you the best in LA Trevor. Keep up the great content.
I am like you and have basically never got to see our team win even a single playoff series. I was born in 88, but was still too young to enjoy the 90 world series or 95 playoffs. It's time. And so far this team feels different this year. It looks and feels like a winning team. I'm excited. I can't wait for Molina to retire. He is the problem child causing all the problems with the Reds. Once he's gone those problems will go away.
@@jonathanhaven1690 50/50 Cards are a good team and Jady is a sniper. I think they'll always have bad blood. But hopefully our girls will play this year.
I’m a cardinals fan and I can say that I honestly don’t care about any other team in NL central except the Cubs (since they’re our rivals) but I do feel competitive against the reds. I have no bad feeling against them I think they are a great team, but idk why it’s such a hyped matchup.
I just wanted to say what you are doing for the league is amazing. I've played in my youth and have been a fan my whole life. I'll be 42 this year and I've never felt closer to the game and the players because of your great insight into what's going on behind the scenes. I think your honest, fair, and pull the curtain back just far enough to make it compelling to watch. You're one of my favorites to watch on the diamond and become one of my favorites to watch on TH-cam. I know the league hasn't been very supportive but hopefully with comments like this from others they will get the message. You're a true competitor and your baseball acumen precedes you sir. Keep up the great work on and off the field. Thank you.
I enjoyed this break down and believe baseball needs this type of energy. It's why basketball and football are so exciting with their natural reaction on energizing their team. Also, enjoy the behind-the-scenes of the team. As a Dodger fan, this is what im looking for and feeling that im closer to the team. Every fan would enjoy this from their team. Keep it up.
As a blind baseball fan, I appreciate your breakdown and insight here man, keep up the great work! I’m learning how to pitch and watching your videos lately has been really awesome and inspiring.

Thanks TB for another good commentary. This is the perfect side gig for a pitcher. I doubt a catcher would do this. Catchers work hard almost every game. Pitchers maybe have a little more energy between starts to do this. You are very good at this TB. Going to be a fun season.
