Every time i checked in on streamer games the activities were happening on the other side of the venue to the crowd, surely this can be improved in the future, in person viewing should be as important as online viewing given that theyve paid to be there
this !! i went to day 2 and didnt see any of the day 1 stuff other than like a screenshot or two, but we watched dunk tank and basketball on a screen. i not only paid $30 but i also drove for two and a half hrs to be here and it sort of felt like i was watching a stream . and its the first event so im not too bothered by it, i still had a lot of fun with my friends, got to meet people i really look up to (shout out nick yingling tbh) but i think going forward there should not be 2 back to back (!!!!!) events that arent in front of the audience.
Yes, I agree. Even as a viewer online, I felt bad for the people that were there face-to-face, that couldn't see the event, and mostly the event appealed to online viewers instead, especially with some of the games far away from the crowd.
Yeah I think it's definitely limited based on where they had to put the events based on the high school (like basketball and shotput are in designated places, and maybe they couldn't put the dunks tanks on the field) so maybe prioritizing events that would be on the actual track and field
Yess! As someone who was there it was fairly off putting especially in the dunk tank challenge with the heat nonetheless it was a great time in person tho!
Tbh what he could have done was gotten other suprise streamer (like jerma) to come and engage the audience when they leave for an event, provide a different experience than just watching the stream
I appreciate the mindset around chat and criticism, we ultimately aint got shit to say, its his event, up to us is the choice to either show up or not and ill def be showing up next year
I only watched like 2 hours total of it here and there cuz shit was boring af. I could only watch like 15 minutes at a time and every time I was falling asleep, had to get up and do something more productive

Say what you will, but Vinnie Hacker was without a doubt the most athletic guy. The first race where he destroyed everything and thus began the 100 Thieves dominance, but also the blatant throw and what not. you have to appreciate that man.
The joke at the end with the sponsor namedrops was so fucking funny. I was legitimately confused for like a split second by "Monsanto" then he got to stake and I just burst out laughing before he even got to the saudis
add a rdc team next streamer games I'm praying they're all so funny and competitive too. I don't have reddit so I can't post this there as a suggestion but they definitely deserve a spot, they're also really big so it's not like they wouldn't fit as a team or anything
I think people have gotten a bit too comfortable commenting on his body. You really shouldn't be telling him you think he's getting fat...that's so out of pocket and not even true. I think the people closest to him can let him know that if it's genuinely cause for concern.
On one hand it's usually rude to say that to a random person, on the other he is a streamer that shares his life with veiwers on a daily basis that allows comments on everything. Don't think you draw the line at weight. Either it's true in which case it's not wrong. Or it's wrong so it doesn't matter
Streamer games, unpaid intern, and fast 50 were some of the best events/videos I have watched this year. Excited to see what comes up next year, just happy you are doing them ludwig. Keep up the passion and thank you for the content!
i watched both vods and would check the chat sometimes and omg there was so many back sitting annoying ass people😭 i had a blast watching every single game, the commentary and just everyone's vibe together was great☺️ very proud of you, thank you for such fun events! can't wait to run it back next year
This!! Watched both vods from start to finish and really enjoyed them. I sincerely appreciate what Lud and Qt do for the streaming community. Helps make it such a great community that I'm grateful to be a part of!
Accusing Lud of consistently winning at the events he runs was really just a big brain play to humiliate him by having him list all the events he didn't win
I think my only problem with Streamer Games were the commentators at the desk. It felt awkward a lot, and I just don't think they knew what to do or say half the time. Ludwig saying he's not competing anymore is great because he's so good in the box and instantly made it better as a commentator.
I honestly think cornhole was fine cause it balances out the competition but the issue was the had cornhole and water balloon toss. Cornhole leans more heavily into skill than it does pure athletic ability so teams like 100thieves, who have 3 buff dudes and all 4 of them workout to some degree, arent guaranteed a win in the pentathlon bc they can get stuck on cornhole. The issue, however, is water balloon toss is the same and it was also in the pentathlon
Unpaid Intern is fantastic, but it wasn't advertised enough and dammit why can you not just put "Unpaid Intern" at the front of the title, I'm clicking on these episodes by accident half of the time
Coming from someone who arranged intermural sports in college (on a much smaller scale), this event was executed quite well If i were to change anything, I'd flesh out the scoring system for each event (2 ml penalty for not having two hands on your bucket or disqualification for moving the measuring cup). It would allow the refs to make decisions easier, ensure contestants know the rules and should hopefully limit amount of complaints Oh and for pete sake, regulate athletes wearing closed toed shoes at all times. Lud was lucky he didnt get a liability suit
Chat has been very cringe for a long time. I didnt really enjoy engaging in the chat, while the event was live. So many negative people dragging the event down, instead of being supportive. I think this event was really cool and extremely well put together for something STREAMERS are arranging, people have no idea how hard this is to arrange. but lets be clear, the MVP of the event was clearly Ed
got to give offbrand their flowers too, it cant be simple running a 2 day outdoor sports broadcast to a tv standard. as great as it was to see lud compete i agree that focusing on hosting would be a good move for next year, cant wait!!!
Streamer games was amazing, sure not everything went smooth, but smooth enough. I think that streamers and entertainers really shine during small fuck ups. And I also love the way you handle feedback.
Honestly, this is the first special event I wanted to watch, and it was an absolute blast. I decided to watch chess boxing and dodgeball event too. They were fun and all, but the streamer games were so much more fun. Really loved the diversity of activities, and the streamers participating were amazing.
Lud you gotta get a chat team in there next year, and I fully will be team captain! I’ll book it off right now for next year. I’ll even pay for my flight out, I’ll just take some mogie merch
I wonder how many groups next time will try far less and just goof around, since it really felt up in the air with a number of events, and being disqualified is really punishing, and the winner is just who wins the last event for the top teams, which is tough and makes it a bit of a toss-up. I personally wouldn't want to exert myself too much for that. I don't like forced "it all comes down to this" moments. I think that should be built into the competition if one wants the points to be closer, or add in a lot of randomness with the events. Otherwise it doesn't feel very reasonable for the team that clearly performed the best on the day.
Overall this event has so many moving parts and you have your priorities right on what matters first... hopefully sponsor works out for the next one. From the viewer side with many streamers on their channels in break moments was plenty of content that helped with any downtime, obviously water event had a too much water not enough measuring but really after the 1 meter dash right before people really needed to understand it's a competition but it is not getting Olympic level scrutiny over fun. Only part that felt awful in real viewing time was horse because the shots were so awful until QT bailed that segment out lol.
yeah honestly it was a really solid event! I think water could’ve just used the same/similar sized containers, but maybe 20 or 15s so there’s also more urgency and probably more interesting to watch too. I loved volleyball! honestly was so impressed by all the teams. I feel like they can add a water sport? like maybe floatie-water polo or floatie-swim relay? i loved doing that at my schools sports day
You know i think it would be awesome if there was a Para-Streamer games as well, where the gang try some para sports and give some airtime to para athletes alongside the paralympics :)
i agree that the announcer desk had better flow when ludwig was there. they did great with the amount of material they had to work with before he joined tho! one issue i had was that not everyone can see/recognize every streamer on each team! i often wished that the announcers would say the name of the person who was active during some of the events - i think during some of the races, i had no idea who was participating. having ludwig there would have been very helpful since he’s so familiar with the lineups.
