I will never understand horror movies with the premise that a group of 4 or more able-bodied young adults are scampering around terrified of one normal dude. He doesn't even have a gun. All they have to do is stay together next to one of the big windows so there's light and wait for morning. He's not gonna try to bull rush the whole group - and even if he did, there's _four_ of them.
I remember a skit in How It Should Have Ended based on Scream where one of the girls screams out for help at a party and a bunch of people rush in and start wailing on Ghostface

The reality is an exploration of self-destructive repression and depression that metaphorically cuts you open and scoops your guts out and leaves you emotionally devastated.

Cuckoo looks interesting and I'm a sucker for Russel Crowe so I want to also see The Exorcism which has no connection with The Exorcist btw so this is a completely different and separate movie. A Quiet Place Day One also looks ok. The rest look like they just be let downs.
