i managed to play a left handed prs at a music show in london not so long ago, and im not going to lie, it was one of the best experiences of my life, you can really feel all of the work that goes into the guitars.
PRS Guitars are the finest made guitars in the world. I love em'. I own just about every custom out there and PRS seems to have that tone and versatility that I need. Beautiful guitars too.
Im getting an Custom 24 SE for my birthday, i absolutly love PRS, i was taught on my cousins SE which was conveted into a CE so it was worth well over a grand, and my many my faviorite bands use it
I have a SE and i can still feel a great deal of quality in the guitar and the finish on the top is just like they do the american ones only their not carved the top still shows like its a prs this is the best guitar manafacturer ever.
yes.. obviously everyone has their favorites.. and all manufactures have defective guitars. This video just goes to show how hard PRS trys to keep high quality control and inspection throughout the whole process of making a guitar. Pretty impressive and explains the price tag on most models. You can pull sick licks out of any of the three, but the sound some are looking for only come from 1.. for me, its PRS. Proud owner of two
I had a beautiful Santana III Whale Blue Bird-in-lays Ten Top 24 frett and a PRS Custom 22" Amber Yellow. Bird-in Lays Ten Top. They are very awesome sounding guitars using Mesa Boogie amp.
Godins are best electrics in the world as far as playability, quality control, quality materials, and cost, period.....I'm a pro and have seven, wouldn't trade them for anything, and I've played them all. No one matches the care and passion Robert Godin has for guitar building, 'cept maybe Jean Larrivee, Robin Boucher, and private luthiers. My 20 year old LGXT is far and away the best electric I've ever played and/or seen, and in 20 years it's never disappointed.
this prs tour and tour guide are much better than the other one. i hated the other tour b/c the dude was a car salesman, not a guitar player. this one, thumbs up.
beautiful guitars, just one question.im i able to buy a custom 24 wtith paua inlays instead of the normal ones?or do i have to buy the whole artist package?
I own a Randy Rhoads Les Paul custom and a PRS Custom 24 I enjoy playing both guitars equally and trust me they weren't 500 $ guitars either between the two I own about 13gs in guitar. Both have unique characteristics that you can exploit for different tones and sounds, in the end it all comes down to personal preference. Also the fancy dragon inlays (dragoon series) are meant to be show pieces not played guitars
Check it! I think you should reconsider after you've tried one. Se guitars are that good, you shouln't have to spend quadruple of the se price on a solid body prs.
@edwsshaw1 it will say se on it and generally the american ones have a carved top where as most se's dont. Se stands for starter edition so thats how youll know.
so does btbam and opeth, but al di meola does too, and carlos santana. PRS is a good guitar because of how diverse the use of it is. you can use it for pretty much any style. even country dude.
@xguitarist123x nice i want that one however i ended up with a discontinued model of the se custom 22 not exactly what i wanted but hey for 350 dollars how could i say no. Are you a fan of orianthi by any chance?
You will neevr pick up one and not be amazed at how good the they feel, they all play like a dream, shame you can't say the same about Fender and Gibson!! PRS QC is top notch, they are the best sounding and playing guitars in the world.
@ iselldummysmacks - where on earth did you get 95% from? after watching this, the gibson factory tour, and the fender tour...prs seems to have the most care with their products during the hands on part. i own all three and can say my prs is the best guitar i've ever owned. gibson's are not any more cost realistic than prs's. fenders are cheaper cuz much less goes into them. tele's are literally just a slab of wood. standard prs to standard les paul are right on point with eachother.
@YongYDG yes their great I just got one used and they are totally worth it the only flaw I noticed in cosmetics on the se was the fact that around the neck area where it connects to the body its alot splochy. However mine is a sold black on the back of the guitar so they spray paint, where as the clear ones are hand painted so you wouldnt see this probably on the ones with a transparent finish.
@xguitarist123x orianthi is like my 2nd favortie guitarist and a huge inspiration. My favorite is nickelback i guess i am drawn to people with prs's. And you can say that orianthi is amazing a million times over and it wont get old.
Having never played a PRS, my mate has one. I wanna seriously know. Between a Gibson and PRS is there any competition. I mean people have told me than PRS quite good. Are they even anywhere near close to a Gibson?
sure, but I know I couldn't play with a SE. I've been playing for almost 10 years and I really need to play a perfect instrument that won't prevent me from giving my best :). Anyway, for the price it's really good!
You will see that it's going to be your sweetest dream ever man... Mine's allready came true... Kinda hard to realize that this is not a dream. It's real...
PRS is all around the best guitar you can get. It doesn't have a huge name to it like Fender or Les Paul so your money isn't wasted on a label. Each guitar PRS makes is unique and sounds amazing. A $700 PRS semi-hollow custom body is much more diverse and better sounding than a $2000 dollar Fender. And Les Paul (rest his soul) is just not to be compared.
@jprincehouston in your opinion some of us however are lovers of metal and in some cases thats just something even a noiseless pickup strat cant handle.
Mhmmm not really true. All major guitar companies use machines for the majority of the work now. (Even expensive ones) They are more precise and faster than humans. Doesn't make sense to use people other than touch up work or things machines can't do yet.
P.S If you want a high-end fully hand crafted guitar have fun paying an average $5000 or more. Yup....without machines a person really can only realistically make 12-20 guitars a year. Its a gigantic amount of work doing it by hand.
All of that skilled craftsmanship , I bet those people don't make no more than 30k a year with no medical benefits. Mean while PRS himself is filthy rich! They should organize and GET THE TEAMSTERS IN THERE!!
i managed to play a left handed prs at a music show in london not so long ago, and im not going to lie, it was one of the best experiences of my life, you can really feel all of the work that goes into the guitars.

Had my first guitar lesson ever on a PRS CE22, and 8 years later I can call that guitar my own! Once you go PRS you never go back! :P
Thank you PRS for your incredible guitars.
Im getting an Custom 24 SE for my birthday, i absolutly love PRS, i was taught on my cousins SE which was conveted into a CE so it was worth well over a grand, and my many my faviorite bands use it
those guitars are amazing, i played one n fell inlove w it
I have a SE and i can still feel a great deal of quality in the guitar and the finish on the top is just like they do the american ones only their not carved the top still shows like its a prs this is the best guitar manafacturer ever.

these guitars r beautiful! im getting my first one soon and im vry pumped :D
Thank to you for sharing this nice video.
Man playing these guitars are freakin awsome! i tested one and its amazing, i believe it was a custom 24, guitar of my dreams man.

thats the kind of job that I'll never get bored if I do my whole life

this prs tour and tour guide are much better than the other one. i hated the other tour b/c the dude was a car salesman, not a guitar player. this one, thumbs up.

beautiful guitars, just one question.im i able to buy a custom 24 wtith paua inlays instead of the normal ones?or do i have to buy the whole artist package?
I like how they aren't all wearing the exact same "work" outfit. Makes it look like a more chill place to work.
at 5:09 is that Paul From GUITAR WORLD who does all the GW reviews online???
Are they?
Interesting to know what the average is. : )
Now i want one even more. I have no idea what model to get...

5:08 Hey, its Paul from Guitar World.
Check it! I think you should reconsider after you've tried one. Se guitars are that good, you shouln't have to spend quadruple of the se price on a solid body prs.
Im fucking proud of that I have a PRS guitar too !! Damn that feels really better than have a GIBSON or FENDER !
@edwsshaw1 it will say se on it and generally the american ones have a carved top where as most se's dont. Se stands for starter edition so thats how youll know.
PRS are great guitars.
I will try to attach a video i have uploaded whitch is a comparison between a prs a Gibson Les paul and an EVH Wolfgang.
Cheers
so does btbam and opeth, but al di meola does too, and carlos santana.
I don't understand all this fender vs gibson vs prs conflict... They're all great and they're all different.
You will neevr pick up one and not be amazed at how good the they feel, they all play like a dream, shame you can't say the same about Fender and Gibson!!
PRS QC is top notch, they are the best sounding and playing guitars in the world.

at 5:23 you can see Paul from Guitar World standing on the left in the black jacket lol Guess he came to check out PRS?
what do i need to do so i can get job in thsi factory?
He's my best friend
on 5:25 paul from guitar world is there in the black jacket
@YongYDG yes their great I just got one used and they are totally worth it the only flaw I noticed in cosmetics on the se was the fact that around the neck area where it connects to the body its alot splochy. However mine is a sold black on the back of the guitar so they spray paint, where as the clear ones are hand painted so you wouldnt see this probably on the ones with a transparent finish.
i wish i could go to work in band t-shirts:D!
I'm saving for a PRS Orianthi SE!! Does anyone have it already? Please tell me what your experiences are with it :)
@xguitarist123x orianthi is like my 2nd favortie guitarist and a huge inspiration. My favorite is nickelback i guess i am drawn to people with prs's. And you can say that orianthi is amazing a million times over and it wont get old.
i..... i NEED to work there
Having never played a PRS, my mate has one. I wanna seriously know. Between a Gibson and PRS is there any competition. I mean people have told me than PRS quite good. Are they even anywhere near close to a Gibson?
usually depends on what model you get..
my chinese prs is sick dude! a serious competitor for a quarter of the price
awesome
@crossandcrown I know man, shit I saw a KMFDM shirt there, that's pretty awesome stuff right there
@Macsk8ing have you seen the firebird x?
@stephen0093 where, where!!!!! ????? lol
I Wanna Work There !!!
sure, but I know I couldn't play with a SE. I've been playing for almost 10 years and I really need to play a perfect instrument that won't prevent me from giving my best :). Anyway, for the price it's really good!
@stephen0093 i thought you meant paul as in Paul reed smith
If it's who I think it is....
His full name is 'Paul from Guitar World'. :)
@pietershertogen he's probably doing a thing on PRS for guitarworld. or he directed this vid.
How would you get a job at a place like this?
You will see that it's going to be your sweetest dream ever man... Mine's allready came true... Kinda hard to realize that this is not a dream. It's real...
my paradise
how thick is the maple top before it is routed?
PRS is all around the best guitar you can get. It doesn't have a huge name to it like Fender or Les Paul so your money isn't wasted on a label. Each guitar PRS makes is unique and sounds amazing. where does it go to be sold ??
5:08 oh look who walked by
@WelcomeToIowa69
He wasn't speaking was he?
Capital letters and full stops are good also.
@stephen0093 ya and he was like oh sorry didnt wanna interrupt you!
OMG!!!! at 5:10 its Paul!!!!!
my custom 22 artist package discontinued now only avail in private stock
the only brand of guitar that WANT SO BAD!!!
prs guitars 4 life
WOW like I couldn't of thought of that.lol
05:09 isn't that paul from guitar world?
I love PRS guitars, even they are expensive ahah :p
How do you get a job at a fuitar factory?
i think i just saw paul at the back then from guitar world :)
me likey! I want a PRS so bad.
i fuckn want one....
i wish these guys made basses..we need some high-end basses
Yeah man! Private stock basses KICK ASS! any other bass! You must damn try it!
What model does Ben Kasica use?
@YongYDG the Korean made SE series are great, at lest as good as les paul studio at a very reasonable price.
I second that notion. Replace the stock pups with a set of Seymour Duncan SH-4 jazz and SH2 and you can't even tell the difference.
how to download this video?
@jprincehouston in your opinion some of us however are lovers of metal and in some cases thats just something even a noiseless pickup strat cant handle.
At 5:27 you can see Paul Riaro in the back. :D
FYI Steve Stevens and John MacGlaughlin have LGXT's......Canada,eh?!!!!! :}
Given the cost of PRS guitars I'm surprised how much is done by machine. Hand work usually = more cost and machine less.
Mhmmm not really true. All major guitar companies use machines for the majority of the work now. (Even expensive ones) They are more precise and faster than humans. Doesn't make sense to use people other than touch up work or things machines can't do yet.

Yup....without machines a person really can only realistically make 12-20 guitars a year. Its a gigantic amount of work doing it by hand.
I will pay for quality every time. Check out Crimson guitars - hand made, top quality at an appropriate price.
prs guitars rule!
i like not inlays in my guitar, is that bad?
All of that skilled craftsmanship , I bet those people don't make no more than 30k a year with no medical benefits. Mean while PRS himself is filthy rich! They should organize and GET THE TEAMSTERS IN THERE!!
That guy - is my nephew! hahah
LOL! Geez man, nice observation there!
@Neltheros made by the gods!
