Thank you so much. My neighbor just got a spider plant and she has put some of the babies in a pot to grow and she was so worried about them. I sent her this video and I’m sure she will subscribe.
I read in one book that if you want more spider plant babies, you just don`t water it as often...you leave it to dry completely and it works. I have 6 small spider plants but they all have at least one baby. In summer the front of my house is exposed to all day bright direct sun and every summer I leave my spider plant outside on direct sun. Especially if the plant is a little bigger it doesn`t get any sunburns on leaves. It`s perfect beginner`s plant `cause it`s very durable and can manage different conditions.
Great video. You mentioned everything I was wanting to know. You spoke clearly and at a great pace. Nice visuals. I look forward to following you. Love your spiders outside. Thank You.
I've just watch another youtube video and it has awesome tips for crispy tips. In the video he said that it is because of the Fluorid in the tap water and this plant is very sensitive to it. So the best way to water them is with destilird water or filtered water. So dont let this plant fool you that it needs more water, it just need a differend kind of water. 😊
Nicely presented video. Thanks for the info. I plan to make a indoor jungle with my spider plant. Mine is not variegated I prefer that look to be honest 😊
My spider plant had grown off shoots and my plant wasn't looking happy. I tried to separate the off shoots from the mom. I have them in different pots now but I want to make sure I am doing the right thing!!

I water my plants with tapwater but I leave it out in a container for a few days before I water. That’s supposed to help the tips from browning I heard
Spider plants are said to absorb negative energy (also formaldehyde) and people say that it’s a great plant to cleanse the negative ‘chi’ from washroom. Just that my washroom doesn’t have natural light ? Should I be concerned about spider plant’s health?
Great video! Very informative. I noticed your one outdoor spider plants have a white flower on it. I just got one grow on mine. Do you know why that happens?
This plant may like to be root blind, but it doesn’t like to be hella root bound. Mines been dying fir weeks rapidly imcreasng in death the last few days .to the point where I couldn’t wait till tomorrow to make quick moves . I had done everything I could in terms of water sun and humidity . I finally had to majorly Clean house on it, lost about 3/4 or more, and repot into smaller pot . It was so badly root bound the roots were wrapped around and around the inside Of the pot like a big old spool of thread. It was something to see! They were good roots thiugh and even the soil was fine. I had to hack that mfer and now I have a very sad chunk about 1/5 of the original plant and another Small very depressing hunk in another pot. Sadly I had this feeling for months since I bought it gee I wonder if I should repot , but I figured no the nursery knows what they’re doing this is good for another year. Nope I was right all along! Hind sight huh? Hopefully what I have left will turn around in the coming months. I’m gutted lol. It’s so weird I kill easy plants and yet my hard ones thrive. What?!
I know this video is old but I am having a hard time with my Bonnie spider plant. I’ve given it more water, less water, fertilizer, no fertilizer, more light, less light and it’s been barely hanging on for like a year. I have probably 100 other plants but this one is giving me the most grief.

Hi Erika, I've got a small garden area full of spider plants another resident gave me, and a month ago I put one big one in a pot to bring inside with potting soil and fertilizer and it looks like I made the mistake of watering it too when I brought it in--just once--and shortly it got root rot and I had to throw it out. I just now potted another one, should I not water it now, (I watered all of them yesterday) and if so, how much water? And in pruning, it's no big deal, just pull off the leaves? Thanks.
sweet video but I think that the pots are too small, would they be bigger the plant could develop more freely and wouldnt look enclosed, but nice color. Greetings
I’m not sure if I have a spider plant or not... I have it in a jar of water, and it’s growing pretty tall but not wide. Is there some way I can like get it identified?
I think the spider plant is different from the two you have mine has the white lines on the outer part of the leaf and a stripe of green down the center, your propagation station is cute.

If you leave plants in water for too long, they often begin to grow roots that are accustomed to water rather than soil. It is important to not leave plants in water for too long if you are planning on putting them in soil. My advice is to just place the plants in soil and just wait for them to either grow roots for soil or it just may die. You could also leave it in the water permanently, there is nothing wrong with that, just make sure it gets enough nutrients
