- I filmed this video at the December 4, 2021 Strait to Vegas George Strait show in Las Vegas. George dedicated a special song to his wife, Norma, to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
George Strait has been one of my heroes since I was 12 years old back in the late 80’s. His heart felt dedication and the love in his eyes as he sings to his wife are among the reasons I admire this man.

That is such a fantastic milestone, especially for as famous an entertainer as George Strait. I'm a little older than George (and a little less famous LOL), but I'll be married to my wife for fifty years this December 30th. Life is so much sweeter when you make the right choice the first time!

So....I remember so clearly, being with a dear friend who was singing at the Conestoga Club in San Antonio out on Houston Hwy when we heard that some guy was next door at the large venue Golden Stallion and he was singing our buddy's, Mundo Earwood, song Amarillo by Morning. We were like Who is this guy?? We found out! Mundo, from Houston had a great regional hit. George went national. We learned to love him with all of you. For those who don't know, his family kept him close, protected & loved. There was no easy access, no fame game. Just hard work & great faith with amazing music. There's the secret to success. Happy Anniversary, Mr. & Mrs. Strait ♡

My mother and father in-law were married 72 years and passed away 13 days apart while still in love. Such an achievement in this day and age. Many more to come I'm sure.
