This fly is a simplified Stimulator pattern that keys in on the buoyant properties of the fly without some of the more complicated techniques. It's a great dry/dropper pattern.

Really liked how you cut the tips out "twice" on the CDC to maximize the fibers and get rid of the stem. Cool technique. Thanks.

I tied mine with the cdc as the underwing as I feel the natural webbing of the feathers looks more like a wing to the fish. I dont mind tying stimulators the old fashioned way, they are really not much harder than this pattern, just adding a rib, stacking deer hair and an extra feather palmer, but I enjoy trying new patterns and cant wait to see how well they fish and support a nymph dropper compared to the original pattern. All the best!

I like it. Way easier than a standard stimi. BTW I've been using those same scissors for a couple years

Nice. I like simple flies that work. I would have probably gone with Stimulator Simulator.

Just tying up an algorithm nymph to dead drift past the YT sensors. Next I'm casting a highly complementary Comment to disabuse anyone who might think I didn't LOVE this pattern, Thanks

That would also look cool with a yellow or orange thread or amnesia line rib up the body.

"Safran" is the french spelling, goes great with omelet du fromage
