Great video especially what with Taco Bell prices lately... Nice touch with the turmeric - super good for you too. In 2019 I was recruited to teach in the UK. English cuisine gets a bad rap, lots of great food, but my town didn't have a Taco Bell. Then - gasp - one opened early in 2020 - no Diablo sauce and the Fire was a little ketchupy, but an awesome taste of home! Then lockdown and everything closed. You don't appreciate something until it's gone...
I used to get the black beans and rice and then the cheapest salad and have them remove everything except the shredded lettuce and tomatoes and then toss the beans and rice into the salad and have that for a meal. It was amazing and filling and now I can make the black beans on my own. Good thing, I moved to Canada and am out in the sticks and there is no hope for a Taco Bell here.
I live in the sticks too. That is what inspired me to do this whole taco bell menu. If you can't buy it you have to learn how to make it. I hope you love it.
@@howtocooke Ya, I am from Texas, but moved way up into Canada surrounded by what they call, the bush. These people never heard of white country gravy or grits also, so having to make that from scratch also. No packets in the stores and certainly nothing in restaurants. They look at me like I am crazy when I ask.
Recipes for all my videos are always in the description below the title of the video. Just click the "more" or "read more" link to expand the full description.
Arg, you found my least favorite thing to do! You are 100% right though. I really need to write it all out for my videos. Thanks for the comment and I'll work at being better at that. For this one it's easy. Put everything in a pot and let simmer 10-20 minutes. If you want to get fancy and brown the onions a little before everything else goes in, bonus!
Once again, this would have been a great after the party is over easy to cook while inebriated meal. Geez, I might hafta start drinking again, just to get full appreciation out of these recipes. 🙃😎
@@howtocooke I'm sure you could freeze it iceblocks for a serious occasion. :) I'd recommend chickpea bean juice as potent after an interesting hummus recipe experience. oh, I'm veg, most of tbe chicken stock powder around has no actual chicken or other animal ingredients if you wanted to do your other suggestion.

A detailed recipe would be hugely wonderful!!

@@howtocooke I checked that, and all it provides is the list of ingredients, not the detailed instructions for preparing.

Nah, you might enjoy it but you won't remember later
@@howtocooke 🤣😏
Step one get a dirty sink step two a gallon of city water step 3 a bottle of laxatives add and mix well
The juice in the can is pure fart, draining and rinsing the beans massively reduces this in my experience.
Great tip but what if you want all the farts? Drink the juice alone! 😋 🤮

Draining and rinsing any canned beans massively reduces the sodium too; I like sodium as much as the next fast-food aficionado, still though...
