    Hi , love your videos, can you do a video on how to downmix a dolby wav export it to mp4 o mp3 from cubase

      @michaelgwagner  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! If you mean an mp4 in DD+JOC encoding, Cubase can’t do that. For regular downmixing just set the renderer output to whatever format you want and bounce the result.

    Hey Michael, I was wondering if you have any experience with Cubase Pro 13 yet, and if any plugin compatibility (I have Dear VR stuff) issues have been encountered.

      No issues from what I can see. There wasn’t much change from 12 to 13 when it comes to spatial audio.

    Very interesting video Michael :) How do you get the external render to make the ADM file from the sound coming in from cubase?

    • @michaelgwagner
      @michaelgwagner  ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to export it through the renderer. Set in and outpoints and the play the audio while the renderer records it.

    There is the External Dolby Atmos Renderer now, right? Which for some reason Dolby sells via Avid's website

    • @michaelgwagner

      That has been around for a long time and it used to be something that only Pro Tools users would use. Be aware that the WIndows version is limited in what it can do.

    I know it has been a while, but I have to ask again just in case I missed something. My Windows PC Cubase setup does great ATMOS thanks to your help. But, I still have to run the big ADM file through the AWS Media convert to share it out for audition. Is there any new way of auditioning the ATMOS file on PC these days?

      The Dolby Renderer now works on Windows (with limitations). You could purchase a license for the Renderer and use that for converting to mp4.

      @@michaelgwagner yes, thank you. I'd agree with you as that is the only way I've found as well. When I convert to mp4, the mix does not shift the objects. They all seem to be equal volume in all channels. Maybe a video on using the Renderer ?..

      I might throw that in in a q&a video.

    Another word sir, do I need to purchased Dolby Atmos render separately

    • @michaelgwagner
      @michaelgwagner  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, if you use the external renderer. Cubase also has a built in renderer.

    Hi Michael, I need your help! I'm trying to do the same in Nuendo 12, I have everything carefully set up, but, in the Renderer a "External sync error" warning appears. I really appreciate your help!

    • @michaelgwagner
      @michaelgwagner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Are you running Nuendo in native mode or with Rosetta. I have not tried that myself but people tell me that there are issues with the native app.

    • @FreddyMendoza-vm5pi
      @FreddyMendoza-vm5pi ปีที่แล้ว

      @@michaelgwagner I'm running Nuendo 12 on Catalina with the most recent Renderer version.

      I deleted my initial response, I mixed up two questions and gave the wrong answer. Not sure what the problem is in your case.

    • @FreddyMendoza-vm5pi
      @FreddyMendoza-vm5pi ปีที่แล้ว

      @@michaelgwagner The problem is that there is no synchro between the daw and the renderer.

    • @michaelgwagner
      @michaelgwagner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I got that. :) Not sure what the solution is in your case. I’m assuming you out in the correct IP? If you connected to localhost, try the actual IP address.

    Maybe a video on how to use the External render in nuendo on a pc useing a Separate computer over Dante Maybe.

    • @michaelgwagner
      @michaelgwagner  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is on my list, but I need a bit prep time for that because this one is tricky.

    big problem the level meters aren't reading

    • @michaelgwagner
      @michaelgwagner  ปีที่แล้ว

      That should not happen. Are you routing the tracks into their individual outputs like I showed in the video?

    • @nicksaya
      @nicksaya ปีที่แล้ว

      @@michaelgwagner they didn’t work in your video either. What I M talking about are the Lufs level indicators. They are not reading.

    • @michaelgwagner
      @michaelgwagner  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not quite sure what you are talking about, the meters are doing what they are supposed to do. If you talk about the metering in the Atmos renderer, that depends on the renderer settings. I had it set up to render stereo (not binaural), so there is only a stereo meter.

    • @nicksaya
      @nicksaya ปีที่แล้ว

      @@michaelgwagner I’m talking about the lufs indicators to the right. That show us our loudness

    • @michaelgwagner
      @michaelgwagner  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah, ok, I know what you mean. You need to watch the video to the end. Those measurements show up once the LTC plugin is connected.
