The recall bracket didn't help, had to buy a new expansion tank

I had sudden splurge of white smoke. Thought my engine was on fire😨😨 Found the coolant leaking on top of the engine. Even though it has the metal clasp recall fix it was still a pretty catastrophic leak. Trying to diy but the hose at the bottom is tough to get out.

I have this problem with my gen1 r8 V10. The bottle in England is $298 though! The cage is not supposed to stop the bottle from splitting and leaking, it's simply there to stop catestrophic explosion. Ridiculous design and should have been changed by now!
