It was designed for PRS from the ground up. But, I currently have little interest in PRS competition.
So, I guess I'll just have to use mine to crush starlings from the adjacent zip code. 😁

I don't think anyone can argue with me that in 2023 and the following years in all possible competitions around the world, the Panthera will only reside in the highest echelons. The biggest opponent(s) will have to undergo his supremacy and shed a tear. Words fall short for this new showpiece. My hats off to the engineer, all technical staff and you three FX connoisseurs (I missed Gerhard) who contributed to the birth of this prodigy, albeit probably with a difficult delivery.
FX is every shooter's dream; everything is perfect in this weapon; is a work of art!!!!!
I envy the group experience of working together with such a singular focus on such great products.

Good Vid! Where i give FX a LOT of kudos is, they invest heavily in their shooters, Teams and the advancement of their airgun line and they listen to their guys. Other airgun companies just sit around selling the same stuff over and over again and actually get offended if you say the gun needs "more" or needs an "update". This is why, YALL KICK ASS! A competition specifice airgun is brilliant!

The tech center is awesome and the techs and the support from FX is best of best! One of many reason I have many FX guns and hope the Panthera will be in my grubby little hands soon!

Ya Matt is a genius! Look he used his experience in hunting and everything else to design that system. Now I understand the connection to the plenum, barrel connection. It's all about harmonics!
Amazing for sure. Excited to see where this goes. I can't help but think this rifle will gain a big following, not just for competition but hunting as well. Shot count will be a factor but that is what a big bottle is for. Awesome company and even more awesome people making it happen before our eyes!

Great video! Amazing looking gun! Although, if I'm not mistaken, it would have to be over 150 FPE to compete in the big bore competition. Can't wait to get one in my hands!
Easy over 150fpe in 30 cal and there is a 35 cal coming.

It seems like FX has a design that is a cross between the military M40-A5 and the M110. I have one on order! The design will be timeless. It's not for every shooter, but I'm getting one!

I'm sure this is a sweet air rifle for sure. Competion only. I shoots through the gizzards, so it's useless to many without a high shot count. I think it looks really cool and superior makings. Looks like a home run for FX in PRS NRL-22 comps. One thing that confuses me is the big bore discussion about minute 5. How big the targets are and how easy they’ll be to hit.
Funny thing. The same thing was said about the .357 Impact 800mm, yet Matt came in 18th with that gun and missed quite a few targets and was beat by a $600 Benjamin Bulldog. Even the best .357 Impact was Keith Gibson in 12th place.
I guess we’ll see IF the .30 can make 150 FPE in order to qualify for the Big Bore. I’m thinking there could be Crow served for dinner that evening. 😅🇲🇽
Matt didn't take big bore seriously and never zeroed his gun. Andries then helped him during the competition to get his gun on target. It took him a few stages and a lot of missed points, but once they got the gun on target he didn't miss one shot. I witnessed it. The Pantera will easily make way past 150 fpe in 30 cal. It will be a beast of a contender. They don't have a zero range at RMAC during the competition time to check zero. Matt asked it he could check zero on another range before hand but there was not enough range officers to accommodate him. Hopefully next year they will have a dedicated zero range with a full time range officer to man it.
Ok. Gotcha. There were many other .357 Impacts shooting, Keith Gibson did the best at 12th. Those targets are big but heavy, and when hit near the middle with low powered big bore they don’t move. We lost points that way shooting .257. Scott actually missed only 1 and I only missed 2. If you shoot the lower power big bores remember to shoot to left or right so the target moves, not in the middle. 😊
PS. We zero’d at the lower range shooting small rocks up the mountain the day or two prior when that range was available.

Hey Roelf would you say it’s part PRS and part big bore? In that it reminds me of a big bore gun you know because of the lower shot count but then also being very powerful and it also resembles a Texan? Just curious thank you 😊

Yea I am a lefty to I always have consider if i can shoot it the way it is or modify to make it fit me. Lefties are always left out pun intended.
The Panthera can have the cocking lever on either side, and the cheek piece is reversible. Lefties rejoice!

Yeah I'm not nitpicking I'm just saying so what about the plenum being around the barrel what about switching yeah you say you can't switch barrels like you can on a M3 but so what does that mean every time you do anything with your Barrel you have to mess with the plenum?
You can still easily switch liners, but not complete barrels.
And does that mean that you can't work on your own gun messing with that plenum what are the Seals like?
You can, but you have to know what you are doing. Working with high pressure vessels is extremely dangerous.

Only if competition shooting is your main thing. The Impact still is the king that can do it all.

It is. Clocking lever can be moved to the other side and cheak riser can be rotated. This is the most left handed friendly FX gun ever.
Also being lefthanded. And an owner of the M3. I love the magazine location. With the M3 I have to fit my face over the Mag. I still love the M3.

Can't keep eveyone happy. Remember, this was designed for PRS and NRL. Beautify was not the priority, but as most things in live. When they perform they automatically become beautiful over time.

Looks excellent unless you are a lefthand shooter. Not going to buy FTX.
The cocking lever can be switched to the left side and the cheak riser can be rotated for left hand shooting. This gun is completely left hand friendly.
