How to COOL Room Without AC

- Easy Hack at home to keep a room cool. Bowl of ICE in front of a Fan Aiming towards the area where heat can escape. As the ICE melts, the cool water will fan out in the room. Keep the windows and curtain closed to fully feel the effects.
You can also use frozen water bottles. You can refreeze them when they melt, and soon later you will have cold air again without wasting water
That's helpful 😮
but i cant cause I don't have plastic bottles
@@CarlosAvina-t9mthen get some!😃

My room is super warm and uncomfortable at night, especially since it’s summer. This helps so much thank you
No prob. Not everyone can spend 500+ on a dyson fan! Happy to help 👍
I have a Dyson fan and is so not worth it.
@@chispitabell yeah i heard their shit

I am from Iraq, and my room is on the second floor, and I have the same fan as yours, only without a ceiling fan. I will try this method tomorrow, if it succeeds, I swear to God that I will be grateful to you for the rest of my life. ❤😂

This will work if you sit right in front of it. Obviously, it will not cool a room. I would also use less water and would add salt to the water, essentially making the ice colder.
doesn’t salt just melt the ice?
@@enlargedquack nah..it would make the ice cooler
I sleep descently far away from it. It still works very well. 10x better than a fan without the ice in front.
I’ve tried this. It simply doesn’t work
@@nishan.7cooler, but not colder, ice is cold, but the salt makes it cool
If you would put it behind your fan and have some type of tubing going from your bowl to the back of the fan and make your room a lot more cooler. That's what we used to do growing up would use aluminum foil to make a tube like structure and then put it over the bowl of water ice and then put it up against the fan and it sucks all the cold air out of it
Tell me you are from US without telling me you are from US 😂😂
Put salt in the bowl and mix it around it will make the ice last longer.
Whoever came up with this idea is a genius
95 degrees, y’all. My mom used to yell at my dad over big windows because she new they make rooms hotter, now I’m stuck in an apartment with a huge window 🤦🏽♀️ hell is real
If your desperate you can hang foil in the windows to reflect the sun light. It does help
If you have a cloth curtain you can dip the curtain in water for 5 mins and then keep in the fridge for 1 hour and hang it back on the windom it will be like A/C
@@AnkurPassi90I’d suggest against that if you have carpet underneath, those curtains would drip and water and carpet don’t mix.
Now that's a fan!! Nice.
Omg this helped so much, thank you 😊
You can put the fan over a 5-gallon bucket that has holes punched in it and inside the book you have water and ice
Yeah that ice will absorb about 50 btu of heat for 5 mins before turning completely into stale water
now guess what - the ice melts and now wait for it to condense again
I would never have guessed that the ice would melt, thats pretty crazy!
Have two or three bottles that you rotate
Just get one of those travel size spray bottles and spray your face with water. It works.
I would think water plus a fan.
Shower, stay wet, sit under a fan. I live alone. I would also think a wet T-shirt and a fan.
I learned about this trick from the movie the fall.
It’s the middle of winter but I’m boiling hot, thank you for this tip
Let me tell you before you try, this doesn't work as you would like to. The fan will spread slightly cooler air but that's all, it definitely won't lower room's temperature I have tried with frozen water bottles. For a few minutes it's ok but nothing more
Now if only I had a fan
I'm in 45C in the US :/
It's called a ... Swamp Cooler !
FYI, this only works in not just hot but also dry weather
Just get a Desert cooler, works great in less humidity or dry places,
What's a " Desert cooler" ?,
And I'm in Las Vegas NV and no moisture is to be found!
@@Jadded-c2d IDK how to explain, but, It's a Cube shaped box with a fan inside, and on 3 pannels it have vents with dried grass, on the inside,
and inside at base there is a water tank with submerged motor that sprinkle water evenly on the dried grass pannels, it works kinda like fountain,
when the fan runs it sucks up air and the air goes through the wet grass that cools it down,
If you have dried environment you will love this, and during humidity or Rain not so much, but during humid you can always turn off the water pump,
@@Snowaxe3D thank you
Everybody should do this but they choose not to

I don't have a ceilong fan but I have one that's attached on a wall

Wet your hair or a towel or your clothes. If it's dark colour it doesn't show as much that it's wet. Also peppermint oil gives a super cooling effect on skin! Try it. And I've heard this about henne too, but I haven't tried it.

What about ceiling fans?
Put some ice on the ceiling and your good 👍 bad joke.. tbh ceiling fans are really good, just keep the windows open to let the breeze in but cover the sunlight as that'll warm up the room easily when its really hot.
You dont havr qny A.C 🤔🤔its ok😊😊
Lmfao 🤣
Does this really work?
Yes. keep the window closed if its warmer outside. curtains closed as sunlight warms the room. Aim the Fan towards then door where the heat can escape and keep that door open a small amount. keep re filling ice. Not as effective as real AC but if you leave the room and come back in, it should be noticabley cooler. Its harder upstairs as heat rises. Hope this helps
Not if it’s humid it will just make it more miserable dry heat like a desert yea it will work
Yh maybe, but its better than doing nothing. ideally do it in the coolest room in the house. upstairs will be too warm as heat rises.
Short answer not really
No... it doesn't... your fan alone will evaporate your sweat but the ice water will do nothing... I've tried before...
