- We've arrived back in El Salvador. It was a long trip from from La Ceiba to San Salvador but we we're very pleased to be back in El Salvador after 32 hours of travel - It was a long travel day.
If you have been following our adventures you will know that we have already visited El Salvador and we had to cut our trip short due to do a family problem back home and our return flight took us to Guatemala.
We were sad to leave El Salvador as we had so much fun and felt we had only scratched the surface of this wonderful friendly country.
As we head to our last few weeks of travel for our Central American series, we were going to slowly make our way to San Jose in Costa Rica, where we get our flight home. However as we travelled we heard that MOST tourists we met , skipped El Salvador because it's dangerous !! We felt so strongly that this was not the case as we LOVED our short time in El Salvador that we decided to spend our last few weeks exploring and filming in El Salvador.

In case you don't know us - let us introduce ourselves - we are Chris (48) & Marianne (51). We are a married travel couple. We recently quit our jobs and sold our belongings to travel full time.
After more than 22 years of marriage we are still best friends
The aim is we are going to step foot in every country in the world before we die - or die trying !. We are currently also planning an epic around the world road trip. So stayed tuned for more clips as we TREAD the Globe in either Trudy the TREAD camper van or armed with our backpacks!
We will share with you our adventure and will post regular vlogs and videos of our full time travels showing the best the world has to offer and hopefully inspire you to travel more.
Currently we are backpacking our way around El Salvador and over the months will be continuing to explore and sharing the rest of Central America.

Wow. Again here! I recommend you visit El Pital, Coatepeque lake (these days it have been turquoise, this only happen once per year and nobody know when, change every year, and the intensity too), go to Cobanos beach, decameron is nice, but expensive. You can go just to the beach, cuco beach (best sunsets), flower's route (ruta de las flores) , joya de cerén, and Cerro Verde. Volcán ilamatepec, volcán San Salvador, Bahía de Jiquilisco, conchagua volcán (you can see and incredible view, but really incredible view, etc etc... And IF YOU WANT TO TASTE THE BEST PUPUSAS OF EL SALVADOR go to Pupusería Abbi in Los planes de rendedos.

Been very busy lately, so we've just had a binge watch. Can't say how uplifting seeing this lifestyle is. We'll probably never get to live it ourselves being complete whimps, but it sure is good seeing through your eyes x

TREAD the globe great for you, there is a wonderful place in Usulutan its call Alegría is on a volcano and there is a lagoon , supposedly a volcano crater its so beautiful Coffee plantation surround all around ....
