When watching this episode as a kid, Iola creeped me out, with her hair sorta shaped like Miss Gulch, not to mention the laugh, thunder and lightning all rolled in one. 🧙♀️
"Well I'm getting the hell outta here!" How different "Rebecca" would have been if the second Mrs. De Winter had been that sensible. However I would have liked to watch Mama take on Mrs. Danvers...
What's really cool about this episode is the subtle homage to The Carol Burnett Show - which did a movie parody of Rebecca some years back. Go find that clip and compare.....you'll see what I mean!
is this supposed to be a Dark Shadows reference. I was watching that and the whole thing about telling that woman she was Joest and the deal with the painting made me think of this
Absolutely love this episode! The "Rebecca" flashback has a subtle eeriness to it actually! Mama rules!
To many favorite episodes of this show to count but this was my favorite scene hands down...bo peep gone floozy 🤣 gets me everytime!!
My favorite episode was the freeze dried cat episode
@@BillyJSmith-on6he also the episode where everyone was trying to find a home for the stray dog"old lady" and of course mama thought they meant her 🤣
Thelma: Well im getting the hell out of here. Lol
"This is kind of like Bo Peep gone fluesy"! 😂😂 Only Mama can say something like that! 😂😂
the devils food cake scene was everything
I love Iola. 🤣😂
Iowa was hillarious!
I love that devilish little laugh she threw in!
@Davsvidfan02 who the hell is Iowa?! You mean iola?
Rebecca wasn’t the only one who had a purple kitchen. So did Delia in Beetlejuice.
I liked that they parodied "Rebecca". An old Alfred Hitchcock film!
"Rebecca" was originally a Gothic Novel.
"Rebecca liked Devil's food. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" ROFL!!! XD Best part!

All they were missing was the evil Mrs. Danvers....one of my favorite episodes
Miss Danvers wouldn't be a match for Thelma
@@JamesJones-zq7pc Mama would beat Mrs Danvers with her purse
This episode always made a chill run down my spine for some reason.
Royal Puce!!! 🤣🤣🤣

I don't know what made me laugh more....
The creepy painting of Thelma, or her terrified screams when it was unveiled. 😂
Her terrified screams for me, HEE HEE !!!
You know Grandma nobody loves the rain more than...... "Rebecca!"
I Know What You Did Last Summer, Bubba!
there is a Rebeca where I work and ever time some one says her name.......... well here is that sketch again.
Love this episode!☺️
Absolutely! Bubba has the best "Rebecca" part! 😄
Vicki has the best scream in the world! 😂
Joseph Campanella (Mr. Hanson) was a gorgeous gentleman!
Mama: "Feet don't fail me now". 😆😆.
REBECCA!!!! 😆😆

It's a reference to the 1940 film "Rebecca " about a young woman repeatedly haunted by continuous reminders of her husband's (dead) first wife.
@@Miniver765 I've never seen that movie, but you're right. Thelma'a fantasy is a parody of that movie.
Is this from the Carol Burnett Show?
no
This scene is from the Mama's Family episode "I Do I Don't".
Carol did a take off called REBECKY
Thank you ❤
Who is REBECCA 😨
His first wife
