  • Jason Ānanda Josephson Storm discusses conceptions of value after postmodernism. Is postmodernism a nihilistic relativism or an activist moralism? Critics have accused it of both. What values pervade the postmodern academic paradigm? How do value conceptions shift when the postmodern paradigm gets diffused in popular culture? Is the "is-ought distinction" actually valid? What would a positive value project look like, and what are its benefits? Finally, what comes next for metamodernism and Storm's work?

Interesting chat! Imo the vid "The Philosophical Problem of Circularity" by the channel Church of the Eternal Logos is a required viewing for the system/worldview building arena. One may not agree with the conclusions of the hosts, but it's the best quick and sweeping review of philosophy thru the centuries that will touch in a lot of areas discussed here. My worldview-buliding endeavors led me to these 2 rules:
    1. The two reasons why someone gets it wrong are they either missed something, or they want something.
    2. For every thing you conclude is true, find at least 2 things that refute it or cast it into doubt.
The second rule helps with the first rule. Hope this helps, much love!
