I like to think of Cerise Bianca as like the Eddie Brock of that universe there and hopefully not really an older teen version of Manon (just "NO." I do not want that) Hopefully we'll get more background history on her when she and Felix are the main antagonists (alongside each other, similar to how Mari and Adrien are except the main screen focus is on them for now until the series finale and give it back to them again later on)
Oh please no. I don't want the show to be done with Chloe (who I see as like the Flash Thompson of that universe there) it's bad enough Thomas Astruc wants to kill her off in a plane crash after being kicked out of Paris and losing everything she had I would just feel sick for Astruc instead of her and it would be even more of a waste of her redemption arc there and I really wanna see a butting rivalry between a redeemed Chloe there and Felix (similar to the rivalry between Marinette and Cerise there before)
But Thomas Astruc very much prefers if we call it "Miraculous Ladybug" because he made it very clear to us that Adrien/Cat Noir is irrelevant to him and will always be beneath him.

AGREED They need to know when to stop a show. Winx Club couldn't do it, and look at the fandom! I would've wanted a main show of 6-8 seasons (ONLY if they keep the tone of the CB and the Paris Special), a spin-off on the NY heroes a spin-off with a major time-skip (maybe to the time that we've seen in season 4) a spin-off with Master Fu \ the life of a guardian that trained in Tibet, with Fu (maybe we could see the heroes they mentor?) the list could go on and on, but I'd MUCH rather have multiple spin-offs with different perspectives on the show's characters and lore than have a never-ending main show that already dragged out so many plot points.

He clearly had some interesting experiences, and got taught by Grand Master Su Han and I’m hoping we get an episode or two dedicated to his experiences living away from his mother and sister, Jagged and Penny’s relationship, and how they all interact, as well as his feelings anout leaving, and what he wants with his future. I don’t remember if he was included in the scene at the end of the last season 5 episode, but I think he’s still back in Paris (hoping.) I wanna know if he wants to keep traveling, found somewhere far away he wants to live, if he missed Paris, or if home is where the heart is. And which heart? His mother and sister, or father and Penny? Will they al decide to stay in Paris and form a tight family unit, will their parents be willing to do that? Since Juleka also finally got some development I’m hoping they’ll develop that entire family more as characters, like have Luka open up to Juleka, have him help Marinette in her search for the broach, just bring him back and give him relevance again. I’m not really expecting anything outstanding, but I hope he comes back, tells Adrian the truth, and helps Marinette so he can have plot relevance, and something the writers worked for can pay off. I want Juleka to get a bit more too, but I’m doubtful.
1) The problem with Lila is that they made other characters dumber instead of making Lila smarter. Like seriously, one of Lila's lies is basically "I have a lying disorder". That isn't how people write a manipulator or a liar. 2) Dear gods, Chloe is still here? It must be hate baiting at this point. Ain't no way the people in the writer room don't know how much of a stain Chloe is to the fandom and this show. Yet they still keep her? Nah, I'm done. 3) Also how the hell Thomas can say something like "I give her all the chances to be a better person", like that gonna make a large portion of the fanbase hate him less. You are the creator, you can write her to be a good person. 4) They gonna expand Andre and Gabriel backstory? Ah yes, trying to justify two of the worst abusive parents in the show will surely be a great idea, good job, writers. 5) The executive reason is completely BS. You can't change my mind. Lila should have been one of the EASIEST characters to write! Make her have lying magical powers, which makes everyone fall for her obvious lies but make her unaware of it, and her beef with Marinette and Ladybug is due to them not believing her and exposing the truth because they are immune to her powers due to being a permanent Miraculous holder. With time she figures out she has these powers and starts using them to get closer to Hawkmoth to form an alliance, and we eventually get a villain VS villain confrontation after their alliance falls apart leading to the end of Hawkmoth and creating the power vacuum for Lila to raise up as the new villain of the following major arc! "It didn't make sense for Chloe to become a good person." Yeah, it doesn't make sense for a neglected and spoiled rotten 14 years old child that has suffered the consequences of her misguided choices caused by her poor upbringing, to reflect on her mistakes and change for the better thanks to the guidance of a positive role model that has her best intentions in mind. It doesn't make any sense that the girl that admires a superhero and wants to be just like her to become a better person thanks to her interactions with her idol! @alcidedragon I think their point is more along the lines that a real feminist ally probably wouldn’t frame a clearly abused girl as irredeemable, especially when it’s been established that she has a lot of potential to be redeemable. A feminist also probably wouldn’t glorify and sympathize with abusive, power hungry men the way Astruc seems to love to with characters like Gabe and Andre, when women who are just as terrible are framed in a clearly negative light as they should be, like with Audrey and Tsurugi.
If Chloé is back in Season 6 than I'm going to keep my expectations of her character seriously low. After her character assassination in Seasons 4 and 5 I have no faith of the writing team to either give her a true redemption arc or better anti-hero/antagonist in Season 6. Either way this show and the writing has burn this show so much that it's hard to get excited about.

Thomas tries to blame the characters for their actions when he's the one who created them. The shows global success doesn't mean its good story wise, when we were kids it was our fav show. And we continued to watch it because of that.
I really don't get it... They didn't want Chloe to be redeemed because it was "too unrealistic," but maybe the only reason its unrealistic is because not enough people treat it as possible. Adrien does diserve better. Since he got his ring back if they don't give him the screentime to show how he discovers himself and becomes stronger more mature with as much experience as ladybug it's gonna fall apart for me.
A Marinette akumatization arc could only work if she had already passed off her earrings to either Adrien or Alya. The one episode where she was THIS close to getting akumatized, she was reaching for her earrings. Of course, if the new Hawk Moth doesn't care about the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous, that would be another matter.
There are ways around it she might not be wearing the earrings I've seen a lot of fanfics where she takes the earrings off either because they were stolen or because she had to take them off like her PE or something and the story I wrote when she get akumatized it's in her yo-yo

As for Marinette getting akumatized, here’s how it could go: Lila makes her mad. She akumatizes her. Tikki takes the earrings off. She takes them to Alya. Then _Scarabella_ and Cat Noir could step in.
Or maybe they can make it separately all about Chat Noir. So we can get to see how much Adrien has progressed after he got his lifeline aka ring back. We can use Felix, Kagami, Alex and Luka. These are kinda really powerful ones though. For ones not having Alya and Nino would be kinda refreshing honestly like make them restricted because of Lyla or something. Alya having tikki and saving Marinette with Chat Noir sounds old and feels boring. Just my opinions though cuz I wanna see everything new. More logical and with stronger emotional arcs of transformation.

I still can't believe they're bringing Chloe back for season 6. With how she was written in seasons 4 and 5, it doesn't seem like they plan on doing anything interesting with her as a character. Even if they try to redeem her now, I don't think most people would even care at this point.

Really hoping for more story on Adrien, Kagami, and Felix. Those three are my favorite characters for me, especially when some of their struggles have resonated with my social struggles with my autism.
So Gabriel is not the one designing the Super Villains Suit it the Victims themselves? I guess that makes sense but you know with him being a Fashion Designer I just thought it was a little cool that we saw him doing his job during his villian time.
Gabe and Chloe are like goofy villians that are bad but it's bc they have a sob backstory. So in a way, they are "tragic villians." But Lila is evil for the sake of being evil. She doesn't have any sad backstory to why she's evil, she is just that way. And tbh, I do want to see more villians who are just evil with no trauma and no redemption. Every villian nowadays have some sort of trauma or sad backstory that makes the audience feel bad for them or allows them to have a chance at redemption. But Lila could be an actual villian but ofc, it is a kids show and the writers don't rlly know how to make complex characters lol.
Though there have always been issues with Astruc, the red flags really started waving with his self-insert into the show. I still can't believe he did that. And since then he's done nothing but raise more problems and frustrate fans. He clearly has little ability to write characters and construct plots, and no grasp whatsoever of the actual potential of this show. Him leaving would be such a boost.
There is precedent for that-early 2000s animated shows would have directors, writers, or staff animated in as background characters or for cameos. That said-I am still new to the social media and fan discourse of Miraculous (I avoided it for spoiler reasons) and I haven’t heard anything good about the guy.
I hope saison 6 and beyond (episodes, specials, spin-offs, ect.) is an improvement. And they had *_BETTER_* improve on Adrien. It’s like they messed up his character and now they’re too lazy to *_FIX IT!!!!!_*
I think in the sequel to the animated movie version of the show we will see Nathalie renouncing her evil ways too when she finds out Adrien is Cat Noir just like that version of Gabe did in the first movie and he rebuilds his family by marrying her in the end which is what the original show should've done before there "boom!!!!" At this point they keep declining Adrian's character and his role. One thing thatbreally annoyed me was how season 4 ended with then agreeingntoneork together to get back the miraculous only for him to not be even relevant in the finale and how do you screw up the villain being his dad yet his girlfriend is the one who faces him alone especially since this the end of his family arc
I think it would be really interesting to see an episode from the point of view of someone who got akumitized. Do they know ehat they are doing and are resiting and thats why some can break the hold? Are they zombies? How does it sound foe then when gabe talks to them through the akumitization? This would be a really interesting avenue to go down

I would take the interview with a grain of salt. Because some of the discussion is semi pre-approved to share because of audience intrest. I would hold my breath for Shadow Bug being explored well. Because the conception wasn't from Miraculous's main writing team. A lot of tone-shift could come from a corporate stong arm. Also i still personally theorize the previous female writer in the past was the one who was leading Chloe's hero arc originally. Because of the match-up towards how the character kinda re-set after. I do think a best course in action is letting the series finish in this particular case. So that after, they could be allowed a anime re-boot if the intrest was there. I could see Netflix being able to handle that. Plus once all the canon groundwork is there. The old or new writers will re-construct a solid vision.
I 100% agree I don't want to see a live action Remake especially now when the show is still airing, entertainment companies usually make these to bring the fandom of a movie back and sort of reboot the original but making it now makes no sense. I would much rather see some more specials because the world building is good
In 2016 they had plans for live action movie with Lionsgate. There can be some good or bad adaptations mostly bad but I would say depend on the cgi & writing. I enjoy the Miraculous manga & if they know anime is so popular such as western cartoon getting one like Suicide Squad Isekai & anime characters/references shown in comics. They should try and get it greenlit since it is accepted in the US than the early 2000’s. I hope we finally see a akumatized Marinette like in fanfictions. THEY MISSED THE OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW CHILDREN THAT BEING A BULLY DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN'T CHANGE!!! I don't think because you're doing bad things when you were younger doesn't mean you can't grow to be better. I think Chloe's redemption arc deemed as unrealistic is a dumb excuse. Of course nobody becomes a better person right off the bat, but old bullies can change and see the error of their ways once they see the root of their problem and have the motivation to do better for themselves and those they care about. Chloe since season 2 wanted to be seen as nice for Adrien, she also in that same season realized she doesn't want to be harsh on her father, and she even realized that she causes problems like akumatizations and wanted to change to be a hero. The show itself realized that Chloe changing would take small steps but then they stripped all a way for a bad ending on season 3 that didn't really align with what the character previously learned?? the time you get to season 4 it seems like they hit a reset button on the character.
By the way I’m in no way saying that cuz ppl try to change that they can’t revert back to their old selves but the show did it in a way that was rushed and didn’t make enough sense to the viewer😭
I mean Lionsgate did it with Power Rangers in 2017 and Netflix with a live-action version of "One Piece" so "who knows?" But I guess it probably would be a mistake to make one that translates from animation to live-action there I guess

I like to think of Cerise Bianca as like the Eddie Brock of that universe there and hopefully not really an older teen version of Manon (just "NO." I do not want that) Hopefully we'll get more background history on her when she and Felix are the main antagonists (alongside each other, similar to how Mari and Adrien are except the main screen focus is on them for now until the series finale and give it back to them again later on)

I don’t remember if he was included in the scene at the end of the last season 5 episode, but I think he’s still back in Paris (hoping.) I wanna know if he wants to keep traveling, found somewhere far away he wants to live, if he missed Paris, or if home is where the heart is. And which heart? His mother and sister, or father and Penny? Will they al decide to stay in Paris and form a tight family unit, will their parents be willing to do that?
Since Juleka also finally got some development I’m hoping they’ll develop that entire family more as characters, like have Luka open up to Juleka, have him help Marinette in her search for the broach, just bring him back and give him relevance again.
I’m not really expecting anything outstanding, but I hope he comes back, tells Adrian the truth, and helps Marinette so he can have plot relevance, and something the writers worked for can pay off. I want Juleka to get a bit more too, but I’m doubtful.

Lila should have been one of the EASIEST characters to write! Make her have lying magical powers, which makes everyone fall for her obvious lies but make her unaware of it, and her beef with Marinette and Ladybug is due to them not believing her and exposing the truth because they are immune to her powers due to being a permanent Miraculous holder. With time she figures out she has these powers and starts using them to get closer to Hawkmoth to form an alliance, and we eventually get a villain VS villain confrontation after their alliance falls apart leading to the end of Hawkmoth and creating the power vacuum for Lila to raise up as the new villain of the following major arc!

If Chloé is back in Season 6 than I'm going to keep my expectations of her character seriously low. A Marinette akumatization arc could only work if she had already passed off her earrings to either Adrien or Alya. The one episode where she was THIS close to getting akumatized, she was reaching for her earrings. Of course, if the new Hawk Moth doesn't care about the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous, that would be another matter.
Either way, I STILL want her to get akumatized SOME day. The writers CANNOT pass up on that opportunity.

Strange how he says Lila was difficult to write, yet when she appears she always says the most ridiculous things and everybody believes her as though no thought was put in, either from a writing or in universe perspective. She could literally say she's half whale and everyone would believe her!
How are they supposed to manage a massive cast of heroes if they're hesitant to give even the other main lead an episode where they are followed. I think this is the dumbest thing I've heard in awhile regarding the show. Yin and Yang means nothing. They're not equals but we've known that for awhile.

She got a freaking miraculous and her first goal is to use it against Marinette instead of anything else.

Or maybe they can make it separately all about Chat Noir. So we can get to see how much Adrien has progressed after he got his lifeline aka ring back. We can use Felix, Kagami, Alex and Luka. These are kinda really powerful ones though. For ones not having Alya and Nino would be kinda refreshing honestly like make them restricted because of Lyla or something. Alya having tikki and saving Marinette with Chat Noir sounds old and feels boring. Just my opinions though cuz I wanna see everything new. More logical and with stronger emotional arcs of transformation.

Her name could be Miss Tara; her costume is based on the Taragonda bat, it's small and eat fruits. She could have a super scream and could fly. Add some action, nice music and more focus on Chat noir. Sounds fun to see 😄

I still can't believe they're bringing Chloe back for season 6. With how she was written in seasons 4 and 5, it doesn't seem like they plan on doing anything interesting with her as a character. Even if they try to redeem her now, I don't think most people would even care at this point.

I understand how writing Lila could be difficult. Not her character but writing her into the story since whenever she’s in the story nothing makes sense. Really hoping for more story on Adrien, Kagami, and Felix. Those three are my favorite characters for me, especially when some of their struggles have resonated with my social struggles with my autism.

Gabe and Chloe are like goofy villians that are bad but it's bc they have a sob backstory. So in a way, they are "tragic villians." But Lila is evil for the sake of being evil. She doesn't have any sad backstory to why she's evil, she is just that way. And tbh, I do want to see more villians who are just evil with no trauma and no redemption. Every villian nowadays have some sort of trauma or sad backstory that makes the audience feel bad for them or allows them to have a chance at redemption. But Lila could be an actual villian but ofc, it is a kids show and the writers don't rlly know how to make complex characters lol.

Though there have always been issues with Astruc, the red flags really started waving with his self-insert into the show. I still can't believe he did that. And since then he's done nothing but raise more problems and frustrate fans. He clearly has little ability to write characters and construct plots, and no grasp whatsoever of the actual potential of this show. Him leaving would be such a boost.
There is precedent for that-early 2000s animated shows would have directors, writers, or staff animated in as background characters or for cameos.
That said-I am still new to the social media and fan discourse of Miraculous (I avoided it for spoiler reasons) and I haven’t heard anything good about the guy.

I think in the sequel to the animated movie version of the show we will see Nathalie renouncing her evil ways too when she finds out Adrien is Cat Noir just like that version of Gabe did in the first movie and he rebuilds his family by marrying her in the end which is what the original show should've done before there "boom!!!!" One thing thatbreally annoyed me was how season 4 ended with then agreeingntoneork together to get back the miraculous only for him to not be even relevant in the finale and how do you screw up the villain being his dad yet his girlfriend is the one who faces him alone especially since this the end of his family arc

I would take the interview with a grain of salt. Because some of the discussion is semi pre-approved to share because of audience intrest. I would hold my breath for Shadow Bug being explored well. Because the conception wasn't from Miraculous's main writing team. A lot of tone-shift could come from a corporate stong arm. Also i still personally theorize the previous female writer in the past was the one who was leading Chloe's hero arc originally. Because of the match-up towards how the character kinda re-set after. I do think a best course in action is letting the series finish in this particular case. So that after, they could be allowed a anime re-boot if the intrest was there. I could see Netflix being able to handle that. Plus once all the canon groundwork is there. The old or new writers will re-construct a solid vision.
I 100% agree I don't want to see a live action Remake especially now when the show is still airing, entertainment companies usually make these to bring the fandom of a movie back and sort of reboot the original but making it now makes no sense. In 2016 they had plans for live action movie with Lionsgate. There can be some good or bad adaptations mostly bad but I would say depend on the cgi & writing.
I enjoy the Miraculous manga & if they know anime is so popular such as western cartoon getting one like Suicide Squad Isekai & anime characters/references shown in comics. They should try and get it greenlit since it is accepted in the US than the early 2000’s.

I think Chloe's redemption arc deemed as unrealistic is a dumb excuse. Of course nobody becomes a better person right off the bat, but old bullies can change and see the error of their ways once they see the root of their problem and have the motivation to do better for themselves and those they care about. Chloe since season 2 wanted to be seen as nice for Adrien, she also in that same season realized she doesn't want to be harsh on her father, and she even realized that she causes problems like akumatizations and wanted to change to be a hero. The show itself realized that Chloe changing would take small steps but then they stripped all a way for a bad ending on season 3 that didn't really align with what the character previously learned?? the time you get to season 4 it seems like they hit a reset button on the character.
By the way I’m in no way saying that cuz ppl try to change that they can’t revert back to their old selves but the show did it in a way that was rushed and didn’t make enough sense to the viewer😭
