I also take a "whole house" view and open all doors so warm air is circulated and reduces any cold spots .. a cold room will be where the condensation ends up... and any mould .. better to have good ventilation. I set my base house temperature at 16degC and only go up to 21degC max. I run my combi flow temp at 55degC
@@mrcombiBedford thanks. I want it to use the condensing facility and have the outlet straight through the floor under my park home so there is no risk of the condense pipe freezing or getting blocked
@@mdshovel I had lots of customers on LPG, I used a "Calmag" filter, drill a 22mm for the pipe to drop 100mm below the unit to discharge. Here is a link, call them before buying www.calmagltd.com/our-domestic-products/acidic-neutralisers/
I open all the internal doors and heat on a "whole house" basis for an hour or two in the morning. Then close the doors in the unused rooms and let them cool off a bit since their TRVs are set to a lower value. The approach seems to work OK from a damp/mould point of view.
@@roberthuntley1090 Hi Robert, why do you want to cool down a room? All rooms must not be lower the 18c 247 otherwise furniture and materials will change shape or smell apart from old and bugs. You have paid a lot of money and paying a lot each month to switch bits OFF. How the rich live.😒
I've just moved into my lovely house built in 1990. Barely any insulation anywhere. House is freezing apart from where the boiler is as there is no lagging on the pipes. Easy fix but the money has just been venting from this place for 35 years.
Hi Atro, thanks for you comment which I hear too many times, very sad to still see British builders standard is still so low. My wife's house was built in 1960, not one pipe was lagged, the roof had 50mm in a 1/4 of the loft, we moved in 2012, what a waste money they paid to be cold. My next video you will see what happened in Poland in old homes in the mountains. Take care, George Staszak 🤩👍
Hi MD, thanks for the comment, my heart goes out to all on LPG. This and every government is determined to keep your prices high, they hate you, why I don't know. For many years I have campaigned for Pre Pay to be even or 5% less than the DD, all the MPs said NO until the year, sad very sad. Take Care, George Staszak 😍👍
