New subscriber here. I'm so thrilled to have found this DIY video, 13 months after you posted it. I've been looking for an easy way to make my own watercolor workbook with Arches paper, and I have several unused nice spiral books with blank paper in them. So, using your method, I now have a lovely little book with hard covers, in which I replaced the 4.5"x5.5" cardstock pages with Arches cold pressed watercolor paper. I'm in love! One advantage to this was that it took only 3 sheets of 9"x12" paper to make 12 pages in my book, requiring "only" 120 punches. Thank you, Nicole!

YEEESSS!! Finally a book binding tutorial that is simple; user-friendly; uses products which most of us have and finally... the end result is a gorgeous watercolour book with 100% cotton pages. I have saved this video with my full intention of doing my own watercolour book. #newsubscriber
Just did my first attempt at this, I am very excited. I made some mistakes so it is a little wonky but I know what I did wrong and learned a lot from it. I did not use my best paper so not too worried. I would say to be really careful on sizing the paper that is where I made my mistake the paper was slightly larger than the template so it was off. The sketchbook is still usable with better paper than any of my other ones. Will defiantly be making another one!
