I have a 2000 Heritage Classic. I just replaced the VSS(speed sensor) and still no speedometer and digital odometer. Engine light still on. Is there anything under the dashboard or speedometer that may be malfuctioning?
Always check your grounds, when your having issues with speedos or lights coming on & going off,or staying on! I know this is an older video but I wanted to try to put that out because it's important that people know that it could possibly be a ground that's not tight enough check your battery cables which most people already know that I had problems like this and I found out that it was a ground that was causing issues just thought I'd throw that out there
My 02 fxst just stopped when I turn the ignition to on the speedo moves down to 0 doesn’t cycle to to 120 mph or whatever it is. No check engine light. No codes. Turn signal cancellation also doesn’t cancel. Cleaned the sensor and still nothing.
You ever figure this issue out? I’m having the same problem and I even changed the sensor out and still nothing. Im leaning towards my speedometer failed and I may have to replace it.
@@crismani8880 yes it was the speed sensor. Believe it or not auto zone or advanced had it for 30 bucks. Super easy fix. Just leave the old one in till you know it’s the issue.had to cut mine to get it out.
I have a 2001 deuce that's acting up , Thought it was my intake seals replaced them but still acting up ? Any ideas ?
Those are a few vauge suggestions. He never really showed how to replace the sensor.

honestly , i never encountered that after replacing the VSS engine light may be the Crank sensor
the no speedo may be a ECM Fault
