CRUISE 5 WITH RACHEL SIBANDE

Meet Rachel Sibande. She is a social entrepreneur, technology enthusiast and innovator. She established Malawi’s first innovation hub and incubator for emerging innovators and entrepreneurs; mHub in 2013. Rachel has established programs for children, girls, youth and women to enhance specialized skills to each demographic segment across different areas.
Rachel is a PhD Candidate in Computer Science at Rhodes University in South Africa. She is Malawi’s Ambassador to the Next Einstein Forum that promotes Mathematics, Science, Technology and Engineering. In 2016, Rachel was listed by FORBES as one of Africa’s most promising young entrepreneurs under 30. Rachel has received awards from Google, World Youth Forum and the Common Wealth Association of Technical Universities and Polytechnics in Africa. In 2018, she was the winner of the Challenge of Invention to Innovation at the Next Einstein Forum.
