Absolutely Bruce! Perfect example of smart and minimalist Japanese engineering. Nowadays its getting hard to find B2600i. I have been looking for another decent one for over a year.
Kαλημέρα Peter. Thanks a lot for watching! I tried to make it straight to the point and short as possible. Sounds like it's only one video on TH-cam "How to change engine oil on Mazda B2600i", so far! να έχεις μια μέρα θεού.
Would an intermittent idle and power output lead one to believe the computer is to blame? I unplugged the spark plugs one at a time while it was running and reconnected them. For about ten min after it ran perfectly then went back to a lower power/miss. The wires and plugs are new as well as cap and rotor. Runs Just like your other vid.
Hey Nuttz&BoltzGarage! I don't think so, seems like you just have faulty ECU module, if you still run original one. I would pick junk yard ECU to check it out.
I pulled the ecu opened it up and it looks like new inside no corrosion on the board or components. What would I be looking for in a bad ecu? A vid on multi meter testing would help if there is one..
Just want to clarify I have read that engine oil capacity on the G6 is 4.7l +0.2l for the fuel filter making a total of 4.9L. You specify that it is 5.5L how did you get this value?
@@adal006 Well, I have b2200 parts truck with F2 engine. I just swapped ECU from F2 engine to b2600i G6 engine. So far doesn't affect engine performance etc. The truck runs fantastic but I am planning to get G6 ECU later.
@@adal006 Hello Solis! It works like a clock. ECU from b2200 RWD 5 speed manual shift. ECU # F2G8, serial f2g8 18 881b, e2t02985t 2310 I got 4x4 fixed today - she is beast on snow now) More vids are coming. How is your repair going? Cheers brother!
Hey Nelson! They are both good trucks. I would get b2600i manual 5 speed 4x4 as ideal - but 4x2 2200 or 2600i still nice light city trucks. 2.6L engine has more power compare under powered 2.2L. Try to find truck without frame rust around rear axle mounts. Let me know if you have any questions.
Those were great old trucks....I owned one for many years

I was doing a timing belt on my volvo s70 t5 and I saw your video on the cam seals. Made the job twice as productive and very easy.
Love my b2600i when it's not ticking. Recently solved that problem with a quart of ATF in the engine oil. I just run it that way now.
Oh, that's interesting. I would be careful adding ATF to engine oil. Mine ticks a bit on warm up as well.
sorry to ask a dumb question but does the torque Nm mean how many rotations of the wrench? The internet refuses to explain this to me!
Nope, torque isn't number of the rotations. Torque = twisting force.

I have a b2600i, but it is a 2 wheel drive. Does that mean it takes the same as the 2200? I doubt it takes almost 6 qts of oil.
Hey bro what do you reckon the fuel consumption is like? Because mine is guzzling it.
Hey buddy! Mine has combine 12-15L/100 km. What is yours?
my b2200 (FE engine 2.2 litre) is getting 350-400km per tank which is 46L or so

I got specs from Mazda b2600i Service Repair Manual.
@@PistonShack The FSM (TD-8) lists 5.8 quarts for a dry engine. With a drain and new WIX 51356 filter, 5.25 quarts fills mine to the MAX line.
you find the problem for the computer?
Hi Solis, I swapped another ECU from donor Mazda. It works so far so good.
But is g630 ?
