Thanks for the video. Used FR-301 for the first time today, took me 20 minutes to replace all 8 inflated caps on a DVR. Before it used to take me 20+ min per capacitor using a soldering iron. What an amazing product.
Thanks for posting this. I wish I'd watched this before I ran into an issue while desoldering switches on a mechanical keyboard. I'll certainly follow these maintenance instructions for my FR-301 going forward!
What is that nicer holder for the desolder gun? The thing that comes with the FR-301 is bare bones, would like something nicer. Also, what are those additional cleaning tools? The drills and cleaning pins.
Hi The Swarts, the holder is the 633-01 holder and is sold separately, it comes with the 599B Tip Cleaner and can accommodate a wide variety of our soldering irons as well. As or the cleaning pins you can find them under the accessories tab on the FR-301 page by clicking right here --> hakkousa.com/fr-301-portable-desoldering-tool.html
Hi my apologies, I'm not sure I understand which is the best stand for the Hakko FR-301? I'm receiving mixed messages about the stand you are using to hold it. Many reviews I'm seeing say that it isn't a direct fit for the desoldering iron and that the c1100 is actually a proper fit holder for the 301.
I would like to know this answer too I've had my 301 for a while and I was wo during the same. Last night I came across that information you mentioned on the stands, the c1100 I'd say looks and will fit better than the other one. Have you purchased a stand yet for it?
@@rubenmejia4881 No sir, but I think Hakko needs to make a real proper stand for the unit. The one they recommend, of which I have seen reviews on does not seem to work very well.
@@HakkoUSA I am outdide USA, I try to buy some spare parts from HakkoUSA but is imposible for me. Your company do not send parts to P.O. boxes. What I can do it? Any help will be appreciate.
@@treadmillrepair754 hi and thank you for your question, if you are outside the USA, depending on where, we have distributors all around the world, reach out to us at support@hakkousa.com and we can help you get in touch with the distributor in your area
Once your Hakko is out of warranty and it shits itself forget about getting a circuit diagram for it... Hakko will NOT supply it because its confidential.... Lol really Hakko, its a frigging soldering iron and not a rocket you muppets. People don't waste your money on this overpriced junk. Hakko was great in the 90's but got money hungry
