Hello Gemma, Once you have a possible assessment outcome, you will submit EOI online through the Home Affairs website. The EOI is not a visa. You will then be invited to apply for the visa depending on what EOI you submitted; regional sponsorship visa, state sponsorship visa or skilled independent visa, subclass 190. Hello Navjoat, The recommended ielts for migration to Australia is General, because it’s more relaxed and easy to pass. But if you have academic and you meet the requirements for PR, you can use it. I am an Early childhood teacher in UAE.I have completed the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education(Early years educator) which consists of 350hrs placement in 3 different age groups(age 45days to 5 years). Hello Khushbu, Although you’ve had incredibly amazing experience, you’ll require teaching degree in secondary school to obtain positive assessment. I understand in some countries, it does not matter the specialisation, you can teach at any level as long as you have a higher qualification. But in Australia, to teach at any level, early childhood, primary or secondary, you will need to have at least a bachelors degree in that area. Even if you have PhD, you cannot teach in secondary school unless you have a degree in secondary school teaching. They are very explicit on that I hope this explanation helps

Hello Qambar, It’s always best to provide what is required. However, sometimes, you do not not need to tick all boxes. My recommendation: Try contact your university if they can change this to 45days. If not, then please: Check to see if all other documents meet their requirements. And then apply! All the best!

First, if she wants to migrate to Australia as a teacher, she needs to ensure her qualification is a teaching degree either in early childhood, primary, middle school, secondary education or special education. These are the areas in demand for teachers. If she has a teaching degree in any of these areas, she can then write her ielts test and apply to assess her qualification and experience

In Australia, bachelor of education is different from bachelor of teaching. If your bachelor allows you to teach in your home country, I assume you’ll have an option to choose your area of expertise: primary teaching, secondary, special education or early childhood teaching. These are some specific area’s available to use for migration purposes. If you’re majoring in one of these areas, that is great! You can apply for assessment after completion. Also, you will require an English test - usually IELTS test score of band 7 and also at least one year of experience. In terms of job, there are heaps available for teachers, especially if you complete your course in Australia. If you’re not eligible for skill migration based on your skill set and qualification, you can choose to apply to study a course that can give you the required skills If you want to teach in Australia, you need a teacher qualification. Hello Anuj, First of all, you will choose the category based on your qualification. You have mentioned your qualifications but which of them is teaching qualification? To teach in Australia, you need at least a bachelor’s degree in the category you want to teach; early childhood, primary, middle or secondary. The degree needs to be specific on that and your transcript should show those subjects. If any of your qualifications has this, then you can choose the category based on what your degree shows/says. Hi I Coach i got the letter from my university but they have their own format instead of mentioned number of days they mentioned Credit hours as it was part of my degree and same credit hours are mentioned in my transcript. The assessing body wants to know the number of hours used. Does the credit explanation at the back of your transcript explain the number of hours? If not, they won’t know. You need to tell your university to explicitly state that
University representative is saying if they ask for verification we will explain them that your credit hours are more than 45 days but we can't write on this.

Hello Charlyn, The 45days of supervised teaching practice is different from work experience. It is part of your teaching qualification. When you study to be a teacher in most countries, you will be required to do teaching practice as part of your studies to gain practical experience before completing your teaching degree. Some countries do the teaching practice for a whole semester, which is about 3months, some 6months. This is the part the assessment body has named ‘45days of supervised teaching practice’. So basically, it’s a practice which is undertaken under supervision by a professional or graduate teacher in the classroom. I hope this clarification helps. The category you choose depends of your qualification and cohorts of students you teach. In terms of the qualification, is your bachelors or masters degree in secondary school teaching or middle school? This will inform the category to select. Also, the category will be based on your current teaching experience. Hello Sharma, For assessment with AITLS, the only acceptable English test for assessment is ielts. If you were studying 3 or 4yrs bachelor of teaching course in Australia, you wouldn’t require English test I hope this helps

Once you have a possible assessment outcome, you will submit EOI online through the Home Affairs website.
The EOI is not a visa. You will then be invited to apply for the visa depending on what EOI you submitted; regional sponsorship visa, state sponsorship visa or skilled independent visa, subclass 190.

But if you have academic and you meet the requirements for PR, you can use it.
This is just like asking you to have a bachelors for a job offer and you mention you have a masters.

Competency Demonstration Report or CDR (as is commonly knows as) is a collection of documents required by Engineers Australia to gauge engineering competencies for Australian Immigration. CDR is required in those case where qualifications are non accredited or from non-accord countries.
You would need to check the assessing authority for Engineers to find out if they require this report

From the assessment body, AITSL, you will need to provide ielts for assessment if you did not study your four years of bachelors in early childhood in Australia
In your case, although all your education will be 4 years, unfortunately you will still need ielts because your early childhood course is only one year of your total study in Australia.

I am an Early childhood teacher in UAE.I have completed the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education(Early years educator) which consists of 350hrs placement in 3 different age groups(age 45days to 5 years).

You may give it a shot if you wish to try. The assessment fee is quite high so I wouldn’t recommend applying until all requirements are met.

Although you’ve had incredibly amazing experience, you’ll require teaching degree in secondary school to obtain positive assessment.
I understand in some countries, it does not matter the specialisation, you can teach at any level as long as you have a higher qualification.
But in Australia, to teach at any level, early childhood, primary or secondary, you will need to have at least a bachelors degree in that area. Even if you have PhD, you cannot teach in secondary school unless you have a degree in secondary school teaching.
They are very explicit on that

My recommendation:
Try contact your university if they can change this to 45days. If not, then please:
Check to see if all other documents meet their requirements. And then apply!

First, if she wants to migrate to Australia as a teacher, she needs to ensure her qualification is a teaching degree either in early childhood, primary, middle school, secondary education or special education. These are the areas in demand for teachers. If she has a teaching degree in any of these areas, she can then write her ielts test and apply to assess her qualification and experience

If the bachelor of education is a teaching course, you can assess your qualification and experience through the skilled migration program.
In Australia, bachelor of education is different from bachelor of teaching. If your bachelor allows you to teach in your home country, I assume you’ll have an option to choose your area of expertise: primary teaching, secondary, special education or early childhood teaching. These are some specific area’s available to use for migration purposes.
If you’re majoring in one of these areas, that is great! You can apply for assessment after completion.
Also, you will require an English test - usually IELTS test score of band 7 and also at least one year of experience.
In terms of job, there are heaps available for teachers, especially if you complete your course in Australia. However, for overseas qualification, the process outlined above is what to go through

First of all, you will choose the category based on your qualification.
You have mentioned your qualifications but which of them is teaching qualification?
To teach in Australia, you need at least a bachelor’s degree in the category you want to teach; early childhood, primary, middle or secondary. The degree needs to be specific on that and your transcript should show those subjects.
If any of your qualifications has this, then you can choose the category based on what your degree shows/says.

To assess your qualification to work as a teacher in Australia, you need to have a bachelors degree in teaching in any of these specialties:
Early Childhood
Primary
Secondary
Special Education
If your bachelors degree is In for instance secondary education with major in media studies that should work

I need to understand that I have done bachelor of Education and in that there were 2 courses of teaching practice which was consist on 3 credit hours each but I didn't get any certificate or letter from my university however it's showing in my transcript. Hi I Coach i got the letter from my university but they have their own format instead of mentioned number of days they mentioned Credit hours as it was part of my degree and same credit hours are mentioned in my transcript. Total credit hours they have mentioned 6. Can you please assist is it valid?
The assessing body wants to know the number of hours used. Does the credit explanation at the back of your transcript explain the number of hours?
If not, they won’t know. You need to tell your university to explicitly state that
University representative is saying if they ask for verification we will explain them that your credit hours are more than 45 days but we can't write on this.

The 45days of supervised teaching practice is different from work experience. It is part of your teaching qualification.
When you study to be a teacher in most countries, you will be required to do teaching practice as part of your studies to gain practical experience before completing your teaching degree. Some countries do the teaching practice for a whole semester, which is about 3months, some 6months. This is the part the assessment body has named ‘45days of supervised teaching practice’. So basically, it’s a practice which is undertaken under supervision by a professional or graduate teacher in the classroom.

I'm in the process of obtaining the documents needed for the assessment, but I'm confused about which category my qualifications fit into.
In my practiced teaching, I handled ages 11-16, which is a secondary high school level in my country. Now, I don't know which applicant checklist I will choose. In the Middle School Teacher Application, it stated I must have had practice teaching ages 10-15 years, while the Secondary School Teacher Application requires ages 13-18 years.
Please let me know if you have any advice regarding this.

The category you choose depends of your qualification and cohorts of students you teach.
In terms of the qualification, is your bachelors or masters degree in secondary school teaching or middle school? This will inform the category to select.
Also, the category will be based on your current teaching experience. If you taught 11-16 year group, then that is secondary and as a result, your teaching qualification should be in secondary school teaching

If your bachelors degree is in teaching and you majored in English, you can apply to assess your qualification.
This should be in addition to ielts band score of 7 in writing and reading and 8 in speaking and listening.
You would require these two to get a positive skill assessment

For assessment with AITLS, the only acceptable English test for assessment is ielts.
If you were studying 3 or 4yrs bachelor of teaching course in Australia, you wouldn’t require English test

Is your bachelors degree a teaching degree? In Australia, teaching degree is different from education degree. If teaching degree is same as education in your country, that’s fine to go. But you need to check which area your degree falls; early childhood, primary or secondary education?

Unfortunately, the age limit for Permanent Residency in Australia is 44. If you’re above 45, your options are often limited to only employer sponsored visa.
With this, you need to find an employer who is willing to sponsor you based on your skill set. For secondary school teacher, you need to find a school, private or public school that is willing to sponsor you from overseas
