- Engraving master Lynton McKenzie’s famous instructional videos from 1988. As far as I know these are the first instructional videos made for learning hand engraving, and it is with great pleasure that I’m able to offer them at their original price.
They are both informative and historically important, and have been off the market for many years. They were recorded on video tape in 1988 and sold on three VHS tapes and converted to a three DVD set years later. While the video quality is typical of that era, the quality of instruction is excellent with McKenzie going into great detail with drawings and demonstrations.
In his day, McKenzie was one of the top hand engravers in the world, producing exhibition grade masterpieces in both the firearms and custom knife fields. He was an engraving pioneer and his iconic style is among the most sought after in the world. He was a perfectionist in every regard, producing flawless engraving and gold inlay. While he works with hammer & chisel and hand gravers, the techniques are easily done with pneumatic handpieces.
Thousands of engravers have learned the finer points of hand engraving through the 29 chapters in these videos.
