I know that he's a Sideswipe figure but he looks like a Swerve figure because of the head it's similar to Swerve's head even the body is similar to Swerve along with the transformation.
While the head is Swerve’s, the entire body is the original ROTF deluxe Sideswipe mold. While Swerve did have red, the mold and the transformation did belong to Sideswipe first.

If you’re saying your Bayverse Sideswipe figure transforms differently than Swerve then you do not have the 2009 ROTF Sideswipe figure, and instead have a different Sideswipe.

It is a changed/side-graded version of the old deluxe mold in order to have a bit more movie accuracy (outside of the flame deco). However it is not the 2009 deluxe Sideswipe of which the Swerve figure is recolored from, ergo you do have a different Sideswipe. The Sidearm Sideswipe has the head light sections of his car mode on his arms. The 2009 deluxe Sideswipe has the blades that move around like scissors for transformation on his arms, and they’re same ones that ROTF Swerve has; their transformation is the exact same.

This is Platinum Edition Sideswipe. He was released as a metallic repaint of ROTF Swerve alongside a Chrome AOE Optimus Prime with MP10s trailer
