Kyle is the perfect person to do interviews with the older generation of Nascar. He knows the history, knows the people and appreciates their accomplishments.
I feel Jack Roush is an often misunderstood individual in racing. He’s a giant in my quarter and I’m not a fan of Ford, but this man is a genius. Many more years is my prayer for Mr. Roush...........
Kyle, that was an awesome interview with Jack! You were able to delve into his racing background and teams backgrounds and reveal things we had no idea about. Putting Paul Newman in to drive the last 30 minutes at Daytona and win was so smart. I had the privilege of meeting and talking to Paul for about 20 minutes at a Cart Banquet back in 1992 and such a nice man. You are really outdoing yourself with the last 2 Coffees and I look forward to watching many more.
I listen to sooo many of these interviews, but you've got my vote as being not only one of the most sincere interviewers out there, but one of the most sincere people out there as well! Thanks for everything you bring to this sport sir!
I once did a NHRA match race against him and won. He was very interested in my engine because it was less cubic inches than his and in a heavier car. When I explained that an Indy cars engine builder helped me build it, he was fascinated. Ford 427 FE engine with a Ford 330 truck crankshaft that turned 7000 rpm at the finish line. I still have the car and still run the same engine. In fact, it won its class this past June 2023 in NH. It won June 2022 at the same NH track. 9.86 1/4 mile race.
Man I hope Newman gets back in the car and wins another championship for Jack roush. One, to give him another championship and two, so he can have two Newman's winning for him.
They could make a movie about his life. His successes in engineering, different forms of racing and the drama of surviving not one, but TWO plane crashes!
I know it's not Nascar but I would like to hear a little more about the Gapp and Roush ProStock career. I lived in Detroit and would drive by in Livonia and see all these race haulers parked getting ready for the weekend. Drag, road racers, then Nascar. Cool
I watched as JR crashed a few years ago at Oshkosh. I'm glad to see him in much better shape than the last time I saw him climbing out of a bent and broken small jet.
I LOVE him to death.... He is so HUMBLE person with HUGH INTEGRITY. Love to catch up with him again and listen to more of his stories. Keep safe Mr. Roush and See you soon again..... USA#1
Mark Martin my favorite driver until he fully retired. Then Kyle Busch became my favorite driver, talk about different ends of the spectrum in racing style and personality
NASCAR is done.!! There's a reason no company paid to have their name put on the top Marquee of Nascar this year. Their marketing people said it wasn't worth the money.
Carl Edwards quit because nascar screwed him on 2 titles. They made Carl race lapped traffic, once the Hendrick-built car passed him, they brought out the move-over flag for Tony.
I always knew that Dale Earnhardt was a cry baby and a cheater....its always like that Ford is wining and chevy cries and nascar makes a change....I loved when Jeremy mayfield rattle his cage at pocono...eat his own soup
Yep, Mark Martin should be by all means a 2 time champion and Dale Earnhardt should only be a 5 time champion. But Dale knew how to get things his way.
These interviews are excellent. Thank you.
Kyle is the perfect person to do interviews with the older generation of Nascar. He knows the history, knows the people and appreciates their accomplishments.
Jack Roush has a deep and storied career. He is a genius and a character as well.
Kyle gives incredible interviews! This is the best content on NBCsports for a nascar fan. Keep them coming Kyle!
I feel Jack Roush is an often misunderstood individual in racing. He’s a giant in my quarter and I’m not a fan of Ford, but this man is a genius. Many more years is my prayer for Mr. Roush...........
You are kidding right?
Kyle, you’re a gifted interviewer. Thanks for the show.

Jack's method of getting a Paul Newman autograph was pure genius!! Another great interview, Kyle!
Aww he already had Paul Newman's signature. The contract.!!
Kyle is the best interviewer in the business, so articulate, personable and knowledgeable!

Robert Yates is under appreciated for his innovations in the early 90’s. Reverse flow water pumps that allowed much higher compression and power.
Kyle I sure hope you'll have Mark Martin on your show someday soon. I'd love to hear him talk about his career. This was a awesome interview.
I never knew that he had such a huge career in road racing. I'm surprised you didn't mention his history in airplane racing. Great interview thanks.
Whenever I watch this show, I always enjoy every moment of it!
Another episode well done!
Awesome interview, with a legend. I didn't realize how much success he had in other forms of motorsports
Met Jack at the Talladega 500 in 2010 nice man!
Mr roush is truly an American gem! With his ability to Engineer just about anything he needs!
Another great interview!! Keep them coming please
Another great interview Kyle!
Thanks for documenting these & sharing. Those early 2000's Roush teams were so much fun.
Jack Roush, highly successful in NHRA and NASCAR.
Man I hope Newman gets back in the car and wins another championship for Jack roush. One, to give him another championship and two, so he can have two Newman's winning for him.
Newman might win him a couple poles, but a Championship naw. Newman's not capable of that.
They don't call him the "Cat in the Hat" for nothing..... Great story about how he an Yates teamed up. Those guys helped make NASCAR what it truly is.
Jack Roush is a legend
They could make a movie about his life. His successes in engineering, different forms of racing and the drama of surviving not one, but TWO plane crashes!
Anyone else remember Gapp & Roush?
@ Lord of the Wood
Wayne Gapp in a Pinto!
That was the first time I had heard about Roush. Pintos and Mavericks.
@@kenmartin756: Or, as an ex-girlfriend used to call hers: the Squinto : )
Beautiful interview. Just beautiful. 👍
I wish this interview were an hour long.
No, 90 minutes or two hours! You know they have more than 20 minutes of tape!
Great interview. Brings back many memories when I was really into NASCAR.
Jack "The Cat In The Hat" Roush
We don't see much of Jack anymore. I miss him. Thanks Kyle for doing this. ☺️
I know it's not Nascar but I would like to hear a little more about the Gapp and Roush ProStock career. I lived in Detroit and would drive by in Livonia and see all these race haulers parked getting ready for the weekend. Drag, road racers, then Nascar. Cool
Hello Kyle , great inter view with Jack . 👍👍😊😊👏.Take Care .
outstanding interview...
I watched as JR crashed a few years ago at Oshkosh. I'm glad to see him in much better shape than the last time I saw him climbing out of a bent and broken small jet.
I love these videos. Great stuff!
Another excellent interview...
I LOVE him to death.... He is so HUMBLE person with HUGH INTEGRITY. Love to catch up with him again and listen to more of his stories. Keep safe Mr. Roush and See you soon again..... USA#1
That was great Kyle. The Cat in the Hat has done much for NASCAR.
Been a while, great to see another one of these ! With the Cat in the hat no less !
good job kyle, jack is a hall of famer and deserves it.
I like Kyle. Always did.
Mark Martin......the greatest NASCAR driver to never win a championship.
Mark and the 6 was my team and I don't care because there was so many great battle with Dale Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon..and others
He was one of the best Nascar drivers period.
@@korgeth Totally agree
Which driver has the best average finishing position in the 1990s? Gordon, Earnhardt? Martin!
@@X8X8X8X8X8X8X8X8X8X Not sure I can answer that but, Mark had more top 5 and more top 10 finishes than either of them.
12:30 Fun facts for the kids. These two guys are brothers. Robin went NASCAR and Randy went TV about NASCAR.
I've been old school FOMOCO all my life, but the cat in the hat took that to extremes. It's been said he bleeds blue. I believe that.
Yeah let's pretend Holman Moody, and the Wood Brothers don't exist.
@@lskiller1903 I like those guys as well.
A am 4 generation of blue blue
@@lskiller1903 What a stupid comment. This video is about Roush.
You will get in the hall for your journalism !
Mark Martin....the greatist NASCAR driver of all time
Yeah 35 wins and no Championship's proves that 😂😂😂😂
Awesome interview.
Has anyone every noticed... Jack Roush is always dressed the same way? Hat, white long sleeve dress shirt, tan pants and black shoes.
Kyle you are the best!
Awesome interview Kyle! One day Kyle, I am going to tell you a story about 1993 and a father and his son! I’ll run into you sometime.
Mark Martin my favorite driver until he fully retired. Then Kyle Busch became my favorite driver, talk about different ends of the spectrum in racing style and personality
Was a fan of Gapp and Roush in early 70’s pro stock drag racing.?
i like jack roush alot…..he gave up time for us in those early days on the west coast!
Lest we forget, Geoff built the HMS house, not Jeff! HMS was bound for bankruptcy if not for their first win. Go Geoff Bodine!
Where's that part where Kyle asks him why roush Fenway in cup has struggled to find speed over a period of 6 years 🤔🤔
If Paul Newman never signed a signature when Jack made it give one how did Paul know how to write his own signature?
he never signed fan autographs, which is what jack clearly stated. he definitely signed plenty of contracts in his life.
@@xSoccerxCorex that is true. He also is Doc Hudson aka my childhood,
Is NASCAR gonna get fun again ? I doubt it.
NASCAR is done.!! There's a reason no company paid to have their name put on the top Marquee of Nascar this year. Their marketing people said it wasn't worth the money.
I wonder how many more events he would have one if jack didnt mess with willy t ribbs car in willy's last season with jack
Carl Edwards quit because nascar screwed him on 2 titles.
They made Carl race lapped traffic, once the Hendrick-built car passed him, they brought out the move-over flag for Tony.
Biggest Martin fan, n Im pissed all over again. Fucking dickheaded cheaters rippin Mark off! Great episode. Thanks Kyle.
Ray Evernham..lol
Why has his organization dropped to the bottom of NASCAR when it used to be o e of the best?
????
Toyota kills teams that's why and he hates Toyota
The cat in the hat! Enough said
I always knew that Dale Earnhardt was a cry baby and a cheater....its always like that Ford is wining and chevy cries and nascar makes a change....I loved when Jeremy mayfield rattle his cage at pocono...eat his own soup
👍👍👍👍👍
Yep, Mark Martin should be by all means a 2 time champion and Dale Earnhardt should only be a 5 time champion. But Dale knew how to get things his way.
Can’t you hear Jack Roush said RICHARD CHILDRESS called Bill France Jr not Earnhardt. Now mayfield is a thieving meth head.
Blame Richard Childress for that ordeal not Dale
Whining doesn't become you, Jack. Mean ol NASCAR. Mean ol Dale.
Mark has 1 if not 2 titles. Absolute BS how France, SR and the bow ties were all in cahoots. Pretty disappointing.
Kyle's coffee has Viagra in it I swear
Ben Crouch lmao Ben
