The original Crash Team Racing was released in 1999 for the PS1. A game that was never supposed to exist since Naughty Dog already made the contracted original Crash Trilogy on PS1, CTR ended up becoming a majorly great kart racer for Caddy. It’s one of his favourites of all time, actually - and he made a Caddicarus Crash Team Racing video years ago after the audience voted on it. Caddy didn’t think CTR could get any better, especially considering it was a pure bonus game made by Naughty Dog that was never meant to be made in the first place, but then after the ‘okay’ Crash Nitro Kart and the terrible Crash Tag Team Racing, they ended up making CTR better. There is now a CTR remake available on PS4 , Xbox One and Nintendo Switch known as CTR Nitro-Fueled - and Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled has turned out to be MORE of a remake than N Sane Trilogy was. Just LOOK at the Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled gameplay on display. Instead of just the exact same game with prettier visuals acting as a remaster, it’s now a total remake with characters and tracks from Nitro Kart , the boosting system from Nitro Kart , better use of visuals than what the original CTR had , better sound design , online features , and a MASSIVE amount of unlockable customisation things. It’s amazing, easily my game of the year 2019 so far. Getting it on Switch as well just to play portably. I do wish it was on PC though. 60fps would be beastly. Here’s a Caddicarus review on the game. I need to make longer sentences. Admittedly, I was too busy with young hormones to think that....
Even if the microtransactions were annoying, the fact that they kept supporting the game for like a year or so was really impressive, adding new tracks, characters, skins...The character roster expanded to pretty much every important character from the series, starting with the return of Tawna and the podium girls. They even included Gorilla Monkey Anus Face (Rilla Roo), some Spyro characters, the Tag Team Racing charaters, Nina Cortex, the missing Classic Trilogy characters (Brio, Komodo Moe, Koala Kong, the lab assistant), Mega-Mix (that monster fusion of all the villains from Crash XS), and the most obscure of all: Yaya Panda, who appeared in a MOBILE PHONE Crash Team Racing game! And the most ridiculousy, wacky thing: You can play as a Iron Checkpoint Crate.

I think a modern Crash Bash should be set up like this:
Good: Crash, Coco, Crunch, & Tawna
Evil: Cortex, N.Gin, Tiny, & Dingodile
Crash 4 it's about time: "um, actually Dingo isn't evil anymore"
Evil 2.0: Cortex, Nina, Brio, N.Gin
What about Gorilla Monkey Anus Face?
Good: Crash, Coco, N. Brio, and Rilla Roo
Bad: Cortex, Koala Kong, Tiny, Dingodile
I'd argue Dingodile would be on Team Aku Aku again, but because he's ACTUALLY good this time, and not because Aku Aku needed 2 members of Uka Ukas team to keep things even.
As for the replacement for Dingodile and the 5th member on Uka Ukas team to keep things even, I can see them choosing Nina Cortex and Rilla Roo/Gorilla-Monkey-Anus-Face. Nina Cortex because she's a fan favorite, and Rilla Roo because Crash Bash was his debut game, so you cant really have a Crash Bash remake without him.

I only used the boosts from big hops and turbo pads...
Which SOMEHOW I remember beating almost ALL ghost times of both n.tropy and Nitrous Oxide... WITHOUT powerslide boosting with characters like Tiny or Dingo....... except for one.... (Papu's Pyramid was impossible for me.... cause he took 2 shortcuts...)

But one nitpick abou the slide boost mechanics: it's exactly like the original. Even the part about the fuller the boost bar is, the better your boost. This was also present in original CTR and was not introduced in CNK.
To be fair the system isn't visually represented in the original.
They did a great job in the remake using the boost flame size to visually show the reserve system, sacred fire, and USF.

@@LilleyComix97 twinsanity was a massive flop. There is no way that they remaster a game that got that much negative feedback. In reality the game isn't really that good and it definitely isn't a legendary game worth remaking.

19:19 Funnily enough, I learnt to do that back in Nitro Kart. The final boss' track pretty much demands you use the brake to make those stupidly harsh turns.
If you've played Nitro Kart, you'll know which turns I mean.
Hey Caddy guess what happened in CTR. They made the in game currency a Microtransaction. You can still earn them but now (aug 2.) you can also buy them.
If they added microtransactions to it and still let you 'earn' them, then expect them to have drastically skewed the 'earning' results away from your favor.
