It's awesome that you did this trip with your dad, certainly a great memento. He's a fit looking bloke, good on him. At the end, you bought a tear to my eye, (in a good way) as I lost my Dad 3 weeks ago. We used to go to the surf together quite a bit, all the way up to him being in his late seventies, This should be a reminder to everyone, get out there and make those memories. Well done.

@@MVDBR Thanks Josh, yeah Dad had progressively worsening Dementia for the last 5 years, 3 of them were pretty bad. So we had time to get used to the idea, and sort of morn him every visit, because the Dad we knew couldn't express himself anymore. One thing I did, was make a video Eulogy, (SO I didnt have to speak live). It took me over a week (12 hr days) with literally 100 photo albums, and I only just scratched the surface of the slides he had. Anyway I feel I did him justice, and everyone there thought it was amazing, and he was too. and I only just scratched the surface. When the time comes, just think of the good times, that's all you can do.🙂

Yea we just got a older Jeep Cherokee and all it took was one fire road for use to realize that it was allot more boring than we remember but when the snow gets here and the bikes can’t go out maybe then it will be more exciting? 😂

Mad. Should have strapped the bike on the back and had a bit of everything in there. I compare ADV bikes to 4x4s, when enduro giys say that ADV bikes are too big for offroad riding. Same can be said for most 4x4s, "why take anything but a suzuki Jimny offroad". Because you can!
I used to go up to 1770 quite often in the 70s and 80s. You always knew you were going to have to sacrifice some blood to the little buggers. lol. good times with the old man ...
Used to be massive sandfly problem up there back in those days I'll never forget one time I got slaughtered by the fkrs no repellent would stave them off. Definitely prefer the mozzies 😁 Cheers Ron
