Thanks for the interesting review and comparison. Like others have said, Singapore Airlines crew are normally exceptional, so I think you may have had the rare event of a lacklustre crew. I agree with you about Singapore’s PE offering overall though. It is poor and a shock to those who are used to their excellent business and economy class offerings. BA on the other hand has been slowly raising its game over the last 4 years. Hopefully one day they can shift the moniker: BA-Bloody Awful. Hope you enjoyed your holidays!
I haven't taken British Premium Economy yet but I had a flight to Sydney by SQ221(B777-300 ER) a couple days ago. Singapore Airlines does have a welcome drink with snacks but it's after take off. I pre-ordered Herb Crusted Fish Fillet and it tasted so good. However, the absence of china bowls is a little disappointing. The flight from Singapore to Sydney takes 7 hours, a refreshment Pizza is served after the meal, but there are no overnight bags for premium economy passengers. Beyond all doubt, the Singapore Airlines crew is one of the most friendly and professional in the world. Thanks for the video, I want to see more like this on your channel😄. The toilet is definitely worth evaluating.
Singapore airlines is normally really wonderful service, perhaps they were just having a bad day. Thought it was interesting that BA did pre-takeoff and post take off drinks in Premium Economy, felt a step up. Fingers crossed we can test another airlines offering soon and share. Thanks for watching.
I haven't flown on BA for over 30 years since I received terrible service from cabin crew. The other problem is that BA is really London Airways. It makes no sense for me to fly from Manchester to London when I can take a Singapore Airlines flight direct from Manchester to Singapore. It also means I avoid the continual gate delays at Hell-hole Heathrow. A great video, although I'll opt for Singapore Airlines every time. The slightly inferior onboard catering isn't going to kill me and the additional ticket cost is worth it to avoid Heathrow.
Having never flown premium economy on BA, I can't really compare them against Singapore Airlines. However, having flown PE on Singapore Airlines several times (as recently as last year from SIN to New York and onto Frankfurt) I agree that the food and service are nothing special. You get a comfortable seat and good IFE, but the food and service are basic. However, I have noticed that the PE fare on Singapore Airlines is often lower than on other airlines, so that probably explains it. Last year I also flew PE on JAL and that was much better than Singapore Airlines in all areas except IFE.
You must have been incredibly unlucky regarding SA service. I’ve flown PE a couple of times with SA and the service is always next level. So good I have now make it habit to commend the air hostesses /hosts back to the airline in the review section of my SA booking .
Typical Pomms, whining like always, why do you think Singapore Airline Rates number 2xin the World and British airline far behind? I guess you just can't adjust to good food and service 😂not your fault, you're born like that😅
Thanks for the comment. It’s just our opinion, certainly not whining we know we are incredibly lucky to even get to fly let alone in premium economy. I just checked the Forbes rankings and Singapore Airlines is 12th for 2024, so perhaps our review has some merit.

@@LifeinHD. In premium economy, Air New Zealand, Emirates, EVA Air and Qantas are the best.

yeah totally makes sense if going from Manchester. Singapore Airlines premium Ec is still a fantastic product

You are right, the different routes might also be a factor in service level.
Give BA a try when you get a chance it might surprise you!
good video that was interesting as I'm gonna book London to Sydney soon so thanks
So glad you enjoyed it, let us know your thoughts if you fly with either of those on your trip.

Yeah, we thought that too as normally they are soo good. We normally fly economy and have really enjoyed that service they provide.
I still have a massive bone to pick with BA for them scamming me out of my money.
That doesn’t sound good. What happened?
The difference between these comownies is more noticeable in business and first.
Which one do you think is better for business and first? We thought Singapore would be better for premium economy so were surprised
ha ha the devil's food mushrooms ! I totally agree
Sour cream and chive pretzels...nothing like onion breathe for 17 hours...lol
haha.. Got to love them though!

Singapore Airlines Premium meals are the same as Economy. Shame.
Yeah the food did feel like economy standard although we could preselect it
