Or, do they share a common lineage, but the Phoenix Ghost is a U.S. made variant? Or, is there no relation between the two 'ghosts'?
@@SCscoutguy Thanks for the reply and the name of the manufacturer. I had assumed (with no substantiation) that the Phoenix Ghost was made by the same company making the 'Switchblade' drones (Aerovironment). As a drone pilot i can honestly some of the drones that are coming out or will be in the next few years are crazy. All weather drones, drones that can carry 50kg+ pay loads and more, spidermans green goblin hovercraft already exists..cant wait to fly some of these
Back around Summertime, 2022, the U.S. announced that in addition to sending the 'Switchblade 300 and 600 kamikaze drones to Ukraine, they would also be sending the 'Phoenix Ghost'. I never heard if it was sent, or any details pertaining to its function/capabilities.
So, it's logical to ask a few questions:
Is this 'ghost' the Phoenix Ghost? Or, do they share a common lineage, but the Phoenix Ghost is a U.S. made variant? Or, is there no relation between the two 'ghosts'?
This isn't the Phoenix Ghost from what I can tell. Also this drone above is a US made drone. It is made by a company called Anduril in California.
@@SCscoutguy Thanks for the reply and the name of the manufacturer. I had assumed (with no substantiation) that the Phoenix Ghost was made by the same company making the 'Switchblade' drones (Aerovironment). The downside to your reply is that I still know absolutely nothing about the Phoenix Ghost other than a claim that it was supposed to be well tailored the the type of combat Ukraine was fighting last Spring. Come to think of it, very little has been mentioned about the Switchblade's use in the field - either the frequency or effectiveness. Given their cost was much lass than a Javelin and offered grater range, I had high expectations.
We need to fund more into emp based technology/equipment soon if this keeps evolving like this.
This large single rotor seems a lot more effective than those Mickey Mouse drone rotors. Also the blade design, super quiet (it reminds me of a specific domestic fan, the one has a unique quiet blade design, while other designs sound like a DC10 taking off).
Those “Mickey mouse rotors” have killed more people in Ukraine than the Predator drones have. The point is, this tech is super old in comparison to what’s already being used in mass.
@@Bongalized yes, but the noise on those 'Mickey Mouse' rotors.
@@Visionery1 what noise I could be above you right now you would never no my freind you need to get a micy real quick and get up to date it's a helicopter nothing more it's old and it's all been done before I fly around my place daily only 5 meters above people s heads and I'm looking straight at them and they have no idea at all I've got mini 3 pro the new blades are so quiet it's actually the first thing people say when they see it fly for the first time how quiet it is just saying
Yeah, but it got less range than quadcopters, Mavic have 30km of range, this thing got 12 km of range
"in mass" for the MISS.
Try "en masse."
9th-grade stuff.
Add to the design series of grenades on the side of the drone that can drop to the location of the enemies
Ukraine would upcycle it within days to identify and DESTROY invading Russian targets .
( Give Ukraine 100,000 of them ASAP to defend themselves, they will do the modifications themselves😂)
No they wouldn't.

Ghost drone= looks like large locusts revelation
If your God fearing, this will be used against you soon!
I like the modular désigneseems to be easy to replace a bad piece
Ha, it looks like an extension kit for the M82:
take off the scope, clip the rotary assembly on, and push the battery pack in the magazine receptor.
0:23 "*SINGLE ROTOR DESIGN*" *cuts to a clearly dual rotor unit*
According to her it flies with a “Single rotor blade “!!! Now that’s impressive!😲
a great example for the kids, that some people dont know what they're talking about
Also, a regular 2 rotor helicopter is by design noisy, not "stealth".
Correction: According to her she said "Single rotor design"...she did not say the word "blade". So she was correct that it is a single rotor. A Chinook has a dual rotor design.
And with the ability to lift vertically!
the rotor is pretty slick
i like it i wish i could print that fine plastic with my 3d printer :)
Why is that a game changer? It's an RC helicopter using a cell signal as it's control link. You can put any camera on any RC aircraft.
SINGLE BLADE DESIGN! WOW WHAT A GROUNDBREAKING INNOVATION!!! Amazing that they invented vertical take off!
I am pretty sure the range will just increase depending on the improvement of battery technology
Ok the wobble at the beginning ... Is that a function of the quiet rotor or a balance thing?
balance is off
This would be great for search and rescues
MQ 9 reaper was a game changer...and Houthis came along
That would be great for search and rescue for lost hikers with the thermal camera.
I was an o341, forward observer, I really wish we had these. My hips are jacked from covering the ground these things now fly over. Covering in minutes what would take days depending on terrain.
Semper fi earthlings
Use the design of the tip and edge of the own wings on the propella blades, might need diffrent propella design, but if succede it will be completely silent.
0:34 How can it track, monitor, and conduct surveillance for only up to 55 minutes??
I think there has been some word salading on simple physics here. If that rotary winged drone gets close enough to the target and there is no additional ambient noise (air/ground traffic, wind, etc), the target is going to hear it. That is not Blue Thunder and it doesn't have a Whisper Mode that defies the laws of physics.
Closer look - The post says it cannot be heard. But it is not mentioned that it cannot be seen. It can bluff radar but it cannot bluff telescope searching for anything flying.
is this a rotortype or is it actively being used in the field?
