Omg yes!!! Chiricahua is FINALLY getting the love it deserves. I live in the Tucson area and I'm always telling people to check out Chiricahua and Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.
My priorities were so skewed while I lived in Phoenix(Casa Grande). I just worked and partied. Now, in my 40’s, I do nothing but hike and bike. I live in Rochester, NY now, and I always make time for a hike each weekend. Wish I had hiked more when I lived in Arizona
Wow! What a magical park! Those landscapes were beautiful and the rock formations were awesome and so unique. Visually, the park seemed like a blend between Bryce and Custer. At least to me anyways. Great job on the video. Really enjoyed the narration and vast landscape shots you captured. I have had this park on my radar for awhile but don’t think I will make it to southern AZ anytime soon. July is our vacation month due to the kids’ school schedules for the foreseeable future. The southwest in July is a hard pass.
Chiricahua is a hidden gem! We might have said something similar when we were there. The park is definitely out of the way and requires a trek to get there, but worth it if you're "close." And yeah you'll want to avoid July! 😂

Loved hiking in the Chiricahua’s and echo canyon as we were there a little over a week ago during our hiking adventures in the Tucson area. You did a beautiful job of capturing the beauty of the area and included some wonderful spots. Excellent video coverage !
Not sure if you are past Tucson but Tanque Verde Falls trail seems like something you guys would love! It's dog friendly and involves some climbing over rocks. About 2 miles of creekside walking and the bouldering leads to tanque verde falls! I bet Kona would love it :)

It's a glacial anomaly along the Mississippi River Valley and it's unforgettable. I live in the La Crosse, WI portion of it. There are amazing hikes on bluffs that tower over the river. They're not mountains by any means, but the bluffs are pretty special and the scenery is unique to this area. Check it out!
Love it own there. Been a while since I've been that way. Great video! I heard through the history books that Cochise, that great native of America is buried in a secret location somewhere around there. Yee-Haa!! You got to be there in the early morning or sometimes at sundown to here the spirits moan softly thru the canyons. Another great one. Your editing is awesome! I'm north west of there. Surgarloaf is one of the nicer and short hikes, a few rattlesnake hissing but great scenery. Chirichua is a scenic peaceful under-rated park without the crowds, not too large, that I can hike the main canyon within a day. Big migrating birdwatching region , I would like to come back in winter .

Hi! There is a campground in the national monument that could be a good option. But we actually boondocked at the nearby Whitewater Draw Wildlife Area. It's a popular birding site to watch the sandhill cranes hang out and fly by. We were there the end of January and there were lots of them there. I believe we found that spot on Campendium. Hello Adventurers😊😊😊, just finished viewing Chiricahua National Monument in Southern Arizona...and I have never been to southern Arizona but have seen everything north of Phoenix so I'm definitely going to check out southern Arizona. Chiricahua is absolutely STUNNING!! Chiricahua reminds me of my time at Bryce Canyon, with far less crowds. Hmmm...are we going to check out Tombstone( my dad has always wanted to go there )
We had plans to visit Tombstone and had such a fun video planned there, but we had some van problems and had to get that handled 😭 but we will be visiting Saguaro soon!
Just found your channel because you just travel through my area (SLO County, CA.) and just saw this video of the Chiricahua NM. This hits home of me since my Great Great Grandfather Ja Hu Stafford was the first family to settle the canyon in 1881. It was cool to see his cabin in the video. Hope you have safe travels.

I love this place. And to think that most every inch if this part of Arizona was traversed by Cochise, Geronimo and all the numerous Chiricahua apaches.
You guys are.so.fun to watch especially in AZ where I live. I've been to that lookout on Sugarloaf Mtn. I live in Tucson so have been on Mt Lemmon so many times, White Dove of the Desert, etc.

We spent far too long throwing rocks on the water haha it was so cool! We are trying to remember to show the trail recording at the end so people get a good idea of the length. You can also view our recordings on AllTrails too!

It IS a hidden gem! I did Echo Canyon and Balanced Rocks separately the first time, but joining them into the Big Loop makes for one of the best and most unknown great hikes in the country. I'm impressed with your researching skills, you're picking some great 'less than obvious' trails and sites. Oh, and Chiricahua makes for some easy great photo shots!
Great video as always. We have done some of these trails and will do the other ones soon. We followed your advice on our October visit up through Mexican Hat and on to Canyonlands. It was all a great help. Thanks and we look forward to more.

I really enjoy watching your travels. You guys do a great job of sharing information. I am looking forward to your trek through California, since this is my home. Maybe you will find a hidden gem I am not aware of in the state. Not sure if you will have time to go to Columbia State Historic park. It will be worth the travel.
What a great find. I haven't heard of this area before. After doing some extra research on this area I found out that mountain lions and cougars come out at dusk quite frequently. I may have to visit this area sometime in the future thanks to you guys. This year my travel plans (I hope) include Sequoia, possibly Death Valley, back to Glacier NP as we head up to Banff, Jasper, and Yoho and then maybe down to Swamps of Texas for fall. Have you ever been to Banff. Looking for some good advice.
We have yet to ever see a mountain lion or cougar (thankfully), but I am sure one has seen us. We tend to visit a lot of places where they exist, but the likelihood of seeing one is super duper slim. It IS a hidden gem! I did Echo Canyon and Balanced Rocks separately the first time, but joining them into the Big Loop makes for one of the best and most unknown great hikes in the country. I'm impressed with your researching skills, you're picking some great 'less than obvious' trails and sites. Oh, and Chiricahua makes for some easy great photo shots!
We love getting to visit spots that aren’t as well known! You’d think being a NPS site it would be way more popular!

The big loop is an amazing hike. Especially since you get rewarded with Echo Canyon at the start and then Heart of Rocks after the big climb!

I really enjoy watching your travels. You guys do a great job of sharing information. I am looking forward to your trek through California, since this is my home. Maybe you will find a hidden gem I am not aware of in the state. Not sure if you will have time to go to Columbia State Historic park. It will be worth the travel.

What a great find. I haven't heard of this area before. After doing some extra research on this area I found out that mountain lions and cougars come out at dusk quite frequently. I may have to visit this area sometime in the future thanks to you guys. This year my travel plans (I hope) include Sequoia, possibly Death Valley, back to Glacier NP as we head up to Banff, Jasper, and Yoho and then maybe down to Swamps of Texas for fall. Have you ever been to Banff. Looking for some good advice.
We have yet to ever see a mountain lion or cougar (thankfully), but I am sure one has seen us. We tend to visit a lot of places where they exist, but the likelihood of seeing one is super duper slim. I've visited that area many times. I hope you enjoyed it. Some of the other mountain ranges a little south are really nice as well.
