Awesome to see Space Battleship Yamato content (or Star Blazers if that’s what you’re familiar with) in the Western sphere, though I can’t really blame anyone who hasn’t heard of it. Basically the Star Wars of Japan before Star Wars came out. To those who are seeing this, I genuinely recommend watching the series, specifically the SBY: 2199 remake of the original 1974 anime, though some would argue to watch the OG. Works great as a stand-alone, so you don’t need to watch the sequels after it. It’s an overall enjoyable anime that won’t win anything major like the popular ones, but it’s enough to hold its own. Japan has a more sizeable fanbase for the show, but it’s neat seeing this every now and then. I was surprised to see even some of the bigger Sci-fi channels cover anything SBY-related, so every bit I find on the English side is every bit of a gem. Great work on the Garmillas Empire. Loved them as an antagonistic entity and loved their ships.
