Tip I learned painting Warhammer figures.
The gray primer is cool but it is better (and makes everything so much easier) if you match your primer color to the color on your custom that will be the largest surface area or is the most tedious to paint.
So I would probably prime this black, then go in with the armor color(s) I want, then go in and get those accent color bits last.
If I do this and prime black, then you do not have to paint *any* of the undersuit. You can just focus 100% on painting the armor.
I know this video is old and I changed my ways on how I paint them now
Really interested in stuff like this. Mild suggestion. The music is a little loud, but the Time Lapse speed is pretty perfect, no real complaints there. I'd honestly love to see you do one of these for my figures
Yeah I see the music was loud. Debating if I should fix it and reupload it.
@@HOIDA247 it's totally fine for the current video. That was more a "for future uploads" suggestion
Came here to prepare for my upcoming custom spartan that i just bought pieces for and just realized i bought the pieces from you!!! How sick!!
yes lol
Give that armor a nice black wash and it’ll really make those details pop!
Love it! Just did one this last weekend!
Oh god I can't believe I missed the original upload, this is such a treat tho thanks for the tutorial
No problem man
Sorry if i missed this on the video but i was wondering how you attach your 3d printed parts to the figure? Any special glue or just standard super glue? Planning on customising using polymer clay as i dont have access to a 3d printer.
I have a store that sells 3d printed parts. Also the glue I use it has to be a thick super glue or epoxy.
I plan on buying some parts to make a custom halo reach odst i see you dont have knee pads yet so I have to find a figure who has the gungier knee pads
You can purchase a 5 dollar item and just put in the personalized area what knew pads.
How do you make the custom armor?? What do you use??
It says in the video
Hopefully it’s not too late to ask but what do you use to hold up your pieces while they are drying and I copilot quite hear it but what do you do for your weathering effect?
Oh and what air brush do you use if that really matters?
If I were to buy one with the base from your Etsy how bonkers with the base could I go?
as bonkers you want it to be and described how you want it
what is that thing ur using to hold the armor and where do u get it
I got it a hobby lobby they are hobby clamps
could u make a stinger helmet figure and pathfinder and prefect and sell them to me that would be greatly appreciated
If you want a pathfinder and stinger the only bodies for the right now is the vendor and master chief.
Do you design all your own .stl files for the printed parts?
Yes
Thats awesome. I'd love to see a video on that process too. Keep up the good work!
@@TwinswordSl337 I did one for the Jerome video a while back. I'll see how this video does and see if I can find a good camera setup for upcoming videos.
I will check that out!
