- Great competition. Learned a lot. Will be back for sure. Definitely have to practice those AWKWARD shooting positions.

They were some hard stages! but the movers were fun!
What is the average time you need to try and maintain per mile while rucking?
16 minutes per mile
Sounds like it was fun regardless. I have to recommend that its time to make the investment. Since your going bolt action precision, time to buy reloading equiptment and supplies. Also, dont rule out 308. With a good bolt gun, the right components and some time to dial it all in, you can take it accurately well past 1000 yds with authority. Ultimate reloader released a video a few weeks ago where they used some very nice cases and a great bolt rifle to accurately hit a c zone sized target at a mile. Smaller projectiles are influenced a lot easier at greater ranges.
I agree. It's time to start reloading. I will rule out a 308 for this competition though. 100% a viable option for other competitions, just not this one given the other cartridges that are out there. 140 rounds of 140gr Hornady ELDM in 6.5 creedmoor weighed over 6 pounds. That would be even more weight in a 308 caliber based on projectile weight alone. For me dropping to a 6GT, it uses a 100-109gr 6mm (.243) projectile, so in and of itself, it'll be lighter, although the rifle will undoubtedly be heavier. What I'll gain from a heavier rifle shooting a lighter projectile will be more stability especially when shooting. The other option is to go with a 22 arc that's coming out by Hornady and those projectiles are 77 or 88 gr, so that's another avenue of possibility, but I'm fairly set on the 6 gt because it's used by a majority of the top shooters.
Excited to see the new build outs, congrats on getting out there and trying something new. Looking forward to the next one.
Already planning it out. It's gonna be a doozy!
@0:16 hey thatâs me
Also, the pistol mover charged the shooters at a brisk 8mph
Props for getting out there and getting after it! Iâm planning on participating next year for the first time.
Great learning experience. Congrats for even participating.
Thanks Ryan
