Normally put out tree up at beginning of December put am 31 and I still have a advent calendar it’s tradition 😂 that heroes one is great i had loads of deckors in mine 😂

I decorate with some turkeys and pilgrims for Thanksgiving, plus autumn decorations. Tree goes up on the Friday after Thanksgiving! Can’t wait! 🎅🏻

In Germany the chrismast tree decoration starts at christmas morning ❄️
I didn’t know this about Germany, that’s so interesting how different we all do traditions ☺️
Decorating for Thanksgiving seems to vary by region. In the northeast, up in New England at least, it tends to be harvest themed, think: bundles of dried corn on the cob with husk pulled back, pumpkins, funky misshapen decorative gourds, corn stalks, fallen tree leaves, autumnal-colored flowers (mums and sunflowers), and cornucopia baskets… and turkeys dressed like Pilgrims. It’s more of an indoor thing and it does feel like seeing larger outdoor displays is much less common these days… which probably has to do with how retailers segue directly into Christmas and the winter holidays before Halloween even ends. 🤔

Looks lovely and festive. Out tree doesn’t go up until the week before Christmas - like to keep the time to a minimum as I feel it makes it more special but completely understand why you put yours up so early given you’re away from ‘home’ a lot.

hi sophie! i am loving your tree, it looks so good!! i am filipino but my parents live here in dubai so i am here now. but back home, fun fact HAHA us filipinos start celebrating as soon as "ber" months start! (starting september haha) so decorations at home and in malls including christmas songs start in september. In the PH we also have a traditional decor out during this season, we call it a "parol" and it's a lantern we put up outside our houses! usually it's star shaped, but there are also other ones that are as cute and fun. Well Im from Czech, but I live in Austria..I do Tree one or two days before Xmas.. and with mix of decoration.. some are almost 40-50 years old.. but what important is, that Tree is real! And here in Austria they have really nice one..and they last for month.. but firts I have to make self made advent calendar for my son.Happy x mas!! 🙂
I love this, some decorations are old! we have a few like this back at my UK home. they have been passed down through generations 🤍 I would love to have a real tree one day 🤞🏼

Your tree is quite magical. I wasn’t planning on putting one up this year as we are travelling. That sounds like a silly excuse to a flight attendant….I may just get inspired and put one up and copy your tree!
If you are out of town sometimes it isn't worth it, and used to do this but I realised I 'need them up' to keep my spirits high during the season while im away from family 🤍
Okay so this is a bit weird but I wrapped my Christmas lights around a Pringles tin. Makes it heaps easier😊

WOW, your tree looks FANTASTIC! You did an amazing job. Will you not put up a stocking stuffer? Or is that not something that's done in the UK? I'm not Christian so I'm not sure how that works.
I personally decorate for Halloween and autumn in early October. I'll visit a farm to pick up pumpkins and a big hay bale and then get some spooky Halloween decor to put out. Once Halloween is done, I put the spooky stuff away and leave the autumn/fall stuff until it starts to get very cold. That's when I pull out some winter decor.
