- Our girl finally got her redemption arc and happy ending! It was an emotional roller coaster just making this video. This will be the last in my Catra character study series, but more She-Ra videos will be coming in the future. This has been an amazing ride and I hope you all enjoy it!

Wow I‘m so late 😅 but I have to say your Videos are so good I love them so much also I who thinks Catra is the best character? I just love her story how she got betrayed by everyone she also was always the number 2 and because people left her alone she just closed her heart so she couldn’t be hurt anymore and didn’t realize that people are here for her she is just such a good character to relate to (also for me because many people left me) but you can see at the end that people always care about you and you just have to look at it a little bit closer that is such a beautiful message to people who have depression Thx for everyone who read until the end ^•^

The thing is, Catra got the "It is not my fault, it is the world's fault" way of thinking. It is a result of Shadow Weebers (can't spel it) abuse. No matter what she did, good or bad, it never mattered. The treatment was always the same. So she started thinking that it is never her fault or merit for anything. It has to be someone else's than right?
At some point, she started realizing that it actually matters what she does. And she started fixing everything.
In short, I love this.

I relate to Catra a lot to the point that if I didn't know better I would say the character was based off of me. I am a male by the way and I am straight, I'm also not a egotical 8 year old so I know the character wasn't based off of me
The beauty of her character arc is. That you can find yourself resonating with her regardless of your sexual orientation. Be it wether you relate to her ugly parts or trauma.

Just to think, everything that Catra did wasn’t really in spite of Adora leaving her, it’s because she didn’t know what to do without Adora with her.
First off, Season 5 was by far my favorite season and I love how they made catra’s character arc. I think that, while Catra and Adora get the most attention, I think it’s equally interesting to see Catra’s interactions with the rest of the people who hurt her or who she hurt. Entrapta patting her on the head, Shadoweaver finally saying how proud she is of Catra, (even tho it meant nothing), Scorpia giving her a hug right away, as well as all of her interactions with the other princesses are really well done on the writers’ parts. It shows that she is ready to apologize and do good things with her life. She gets adopted into the “Best Friend Squad” almost immediately. All she needed to do was that one good thing. Then she did another, and another, until she was finally ready to heal. I just love this show so much.... Thanks Noelle for giving us the Kiss we deserve!!

One of the things that bothered me is that Glimmer seemed to have forgotten that Catra was responsible for what happened to her mother
@@soliasanala3332 That's part of why I wanted Glimmer and Catra to have more time talking while with Prime because while on the surface they seem massively different there's a lot of parallels between the two. Both nearly destroyed everything they loved through rash action and any effort on the part of Glimmer to explain her situation will more or less immediately run into another thing they have in common, being manipulated by Shadow Weaver. This then wraps right back around to Angela and here they have something massively different that is liable to bring out some sympathy from Glimmer, where Glimmer had and lost Angela Catra only had Shadow Weaver and for a while Adora. With that I don't think Glimmer would or had to forgive Catra but would have a hard time missing that Catra was a much more complex figure then the relentless evil opponent she'd come to expect and in my mind at least a bit of understanding from anyone would do much to lay the groundwork for Catra saving Glimmer without the 'do one good thing' guilt trip.
It could have also laid some ground work for Catra disarming some of her defense mechanisms as the first steps towards healing herself and trying to fix her relationships, while she's most attached to Adora the sense of betrayal that's intertwined makes her a bit of a dangerous ambassador for change early on.
@@soliasanala3332 i think that’s because catra saved glimmer. what bothered me was how fast bow forgave catra. glimmer had spent a lot of time with catra when they were on horde primes ship and adora never really gave up hope that catra would turn good so it makes sense that they would forgive her easily but bow didn’t have any reason to forgive her that fast
All she needed to do was to stay with Adora in the first season).

This Catradora story is just so epic and detailed and awesome over all. Haven't even seen more than one episode yet and can already tell there was a lot of thought,and the show was well written.Lets GOOOO
I think carta just needed some time to think and realise her feelings. and in season 5 she got that time. she kept thinking about adora and how she hurt her and that she wants to change sure at first she was with horde prime but later she changed because she understood everything. that is why this season is so great and honestly it is my favourite ❤

“I forgive you.” Gosh I love how Entrapta reacts. No hesitation at all, just a pat on the head and three words.
From the beginning, Catra never truly understood why she cared so much for Adora, being mixed up in jealousy and other emotions because of Shadow Weaver’s treatment until near the end when she finally came to terms with it, leaving an even bigger hole filled with regret. Shadow Weaver, there is a single quote from a single anime that perfectly personifies that scene of her sacrifice with just a single word changed.
*Dazai Osamu: No one can fully grasp another persons deepest emotions, it’s impossible. Only you can understand what you’re feeling. But generally speaking, I can tell you this..... Most people tend to cry when their mother dies.* Despite how she treated them, they still loved and viewed her as their mother.

please keep making these edits, they’re all so lovely and touching. This show meant a lot to me, seeing edits of it is really nice, especially of Catra, for me she’s the most relatable character, so seeing these moments are just really nice.💕

No it’s not. But it is one of the most openly LGBT shows for kids out there. Legend of Korra ended with the 2 main female leads getting together. However that was in 2014, so they couldn’t be nearly as explicit about it. But this is the first where the whole story revolves around their relationship to one another.

the fact that catra has always had to prove her worth to feel valued but then after switching sides and been shocked that there are people who just accept her it’s my fav character development. my absolute fav scene between catradora is after she wakes up after adora healed her and hugs her with everything she had because she’s so broken and adora’s the only person who just loved her for just being catra. love this show too much

And I must say, the hole series has no specific good and evil characters.
Hordak for example. Some people may say, he is a villian. But why? Yes, the introduced him as an evil guy, who will take control about all of etheria. But he has a reason. First, he knows, he is "only" a clone and horde prime said, he is an mistake. So he will proove him, he isn´t. he will live. And second, he didn´t know another life, than as a conquerer. He doesn´t know about friendship or respect. So he do so, as he learnd since he was "born". So you can realy say, he is an evil guy?
And Shadow Weaver too. Yes, she is trying to get the most powerfull magic, but is it evil to try to be better? And especialy, she changed sides, she always try to get more power, but only, to survive. Glimmer go the same in season 4. So she is evil too? No. she makes a mistake. So Shadow Weaver does many mistakes, but only to survive, like Glimmer does.
I love this. So the borders between good and evil are not so clear. And this is great. All characters have good and evil sides. All characters made mistakes. Some of these are smaller, some other bigger.
So Catra does one mistake to another. But she also is a good person at the end.
And sorry, for my bad language. My english is not so well, I think.

Sara McMurtrie Catra is a more relatable and complex character than Adora. Season 5 delves into why Adora shouldn’t constantly hold onto that hero complex. It’s okay to be selfish sometimes and have a drive for what you want over other people.
