Slowly Building a Stack of Gold Coins

  • Fractional Gold Coins are smaller, less than 1 troy ounce in weight Gold Coins that are popular with Gold and Silver Stackers. You can start owning physical gold today with these coins. A few pros is obviously a size for many different stacking budgets. Plus, you don't have to sell a full ounce of gold for a lesser expense with Fractional Gold in your stack (assuming you don't have Silver). A con is of course you do pay a higher premium for smaller coins. A sad fact of life. I hope you enjoy today's video.

    I followed this path and bought my first 1/10 oz eagle. The next month I bought a 1/4 oz eagle instead, because I had the additional funds. Repeated that the next 2 months. Then this month I bought a 1/2 oz eagle. Had a goal to reach an ounce by the end of the year. Now I’m adjusting it to 3, maybe even 5.

    In the end gold is gold. Oz is oz. Watch out the premiums. I started filling up a tube of 1/10, then 1/4, 1/2. Im almost done with the 1/2 tube. Three more to go. Most important part about buying metals is exit stratagy. I cashed out 18k back in 2021. I used it for my second home rental.

My income was never the same every month. My only plan when buying 1/10 was to fill a tube. Then I filled 1/4....... My though behind it was liquidity. If I needed a few hundred bucks I could sell 1/10. I also thought that if I needed to sell, it easier for somebody to pay a few hundred vs 2k or so for a ounce. Nice Florida Stacker. You are right. Gold is a tier one asset, and silver has been relegated to an industrial metal. Silver is used in everything from switches to turn on your lights, the breakers in your breaker box, any contact in every appliance that you have, every vehicle, batteries, lawn mowers, solar panels all use a small amount of silver. Some households use more, and some use less. Depends on the size of your property, but silver is all around us. Every computer, cellphone, or anything electronic uses a small amount of silver and gold. When you magnify this to every household, every vehicle you see every farm, every business, it becomes very clear how important these metals are in our modern-day lifestyle. Copper is just as important but is definitely more abundant. The human race has been mining these metals for centuries, but I do believe silver is the most important metal in our modern-day living. I left out the military industrial complex and the space industry, which seems to fire off a rocket somewhere in the world every day. If any metal becomes in short supply, it would be silver. I haven't even discussed the GSR and why they keep silver smashed down because of it. Keep stacking.

      the US$ that largely sets the gold price. The huge $35T US national debt will be the death of the US$ at some point but no one knows when that will occur. It could be in the
      next few years or in several decades and there's no way to tell which way it will go. Beware those who say they know for they are most likely to be liars and / or thieves.

    I'm fond of Austrian and Netherlands ducats and 5 gold Mexican pesos. 10 pesos are nearly a quarter ounce(0.2411 or 7.49 grams). There are fractional gold coins that are over a troy ounce(I'm looking at you 50 peso and 5 £ pound coin) but those are beyond my wallet and budget. Some day. My goal is to fill up a tube with ducats and/or gold pesos.

      Isnt a tube an arbitrary amount, an amount picked by someone who does not know how to personalize you plan? what would be your plan if the tube were shorter or longer? discuss among your selves. what would be your plan if you could pick whatever size tube you wanted?

    I am not a big precious metals person but had accumlated aa fairly large quantity of generic silver and would either trade for U. S> gold coins. I gathe that this is not a great move since I bought silver at a higher price. . If I want a couple of 1/10 oz gold where are best places to buy ?

    When it comes to fractional gold, I’d say coins are not the way to go, factional gold bars you’ve got many more options with less premiums than coins.

  • @veritasfiles
    @veritasfiles 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    For me, it has nothing to do with budget. I prefer fractional Gold because your universe of possible buyers goes up dramatically as you decrease the increment size of Gold that you're seeking to sell. And there really isn't anything that 1 to 3 one troy ounce Gold coins will get me that 2 to 6 or 4 to 12 one-quarter ounce Gold coins won't get me. In short, the premium you may pay for the fractional is totally worth the increased liquidity that fractional Gold automatically provides in a variety of environments. I only buy in 1/2, 1/4/, and 1/10 ounce varieties, and I only buy in 22k coin varieties (i.e. Gold Eagles & Gold Krugerrands). The reason for the 22k Gold coins is that they are closer to a circulation composition of 90% Gold, and while I consider that possibility a very low probability, it's no longer sitting at zero. Because of that, I think it's best to be prepared for as many eventualities as possible. In a crisis situation, it is prudent to have several options. My first 5 ounces of Gold were purchased in exclusively 1/10 ounce Eagles and Krugerrands, while the next 10 ounces were purchased almost entirely in 1/4 ounce Eagles and Krugerrands. As soon as I finish filling my U.S. quarter coin tube with 1/4 ounce Gold Eagles (40 in total), I'm going to start focusing my attention on the 1/2 ounce Eagles and Kruggerands. Great video!
