Low-smoke j79s have been in Phantoms since the late 70s/early 80s. For some reason the Germans did not convert theirs... don't know about the Iranian ones still flying.
Awesome video! I was assigned to Incirlik AB, Turkey back in the mid '80s. It was great seeing their F-4s and F-100s. It's phabulous watching the F-4s again.
As always, spectacular footage. There's a line in an old Beach Boy's song that reminds me of you. "Round round, get around, I get around....." Keep 'em coming!!
Elwyn, looks like life is getting busy on the Mach Loop... I past there couple of weeks ago and the car park was full then. I was on my way to Dolgellau... and though this new happened back in the late 60's... always good to watch your videos... Thanks
Hi Elywn, You have done it again great video lovely to watch thank you for sharing them with me, Looking forward to the next video. Take care of yourself and stay safe.✈️✈️⭐️⭐️👍👌
Phluffy Phantoms still got it👍👍👍 Well that beats the pants off all your modern stuff, goosebumps from the first shot, what a stunning experience. You've got to be a bit sharpish with the arms and neck Elwyn, top marks on that front. Thank you👍👍
That was very impressive, thank you Elwyn. That right turn immediately after the photographers looked a bit marginal, but I guess that they do it regularly 👍
Beautiful photos and videos. This video better explains why NATO members do not provide new aircraft to Turkey or hesitate. For photographers.😃😡 50 year old F-4s should be in the museum. Our pilots are still flying 50-year-old F-4s
Phantoms aren't so bad, as those 2 J-79's have a big block rumble. the loud horrible ones are those A-6's (on the carrier deck, at least) They would have you grimacing even WITH ear protection. Kinda like the Air Force T-37's
Turkey seems to be A LOT more relaxed than the UK as far as how low and fast military jets can approach "crowds". I reckon a Typhoon pilot pulling the opening stunt would quickly find himself flying a desk somewhere in the Falklands.
Turkey did a good job on the F4, beatiful paint and no or little smoke!

During the Iran-Iraq war, F4 Phantom fighters were able to shoot down a large number of Iraqi jets

Yes, but this is 🇹🇷 anything goes 👌😁
Kaan içinde bekleriz. 2028....
Why are they so slow?
It is a show!
@ wdym? Aren’t they supposed to showcase power and speed?
@@boomerang0101 This is a valley and this is a training flight, of course with a bit of a show
slow because it's a show for photographers. so you can get lots of pictures
No, celebrate 50 years of Phantoms in Turkey with special livery
