Is there a reason for that? Are the grains too big for frying when they're fresh cracked or have you not noticed a quality difference? Thanks for your wisdom!

Thanks for the view. When I measure I prefer to use ground and when I coat raw meat I prefer some fresh cracked since I'm using so little.
