I have to say... I'm a rocker at heart--through and through. However, I recently put myself on to Duran Duran, and I have to say, they're some of the worldZ great musicians! They are really, horribly underrated and looked at like a bunch of pretty boyZ who can't play. But they CAN play... they have more musicianship than most bands out there today. AZ a long time drummer, I have to point out that Roger Taylor iZ one incredible drummer. I'm absolutely addicted to Duran Duran, itZ the only music I've listened to for the last two months!😆☕🥁🥁🥁
Good taste, thanks for sharing :) Indeed they aren't and have been never been a "boy band" contrary to popular belief, nothing manufactured about them - just pure talent and a passion for music
@@certifiedscrubtech3402 awesome... thank you so much for the welcome!!! I truly believe that I'll be a Duran Duran fan for the rest of my life 😀☕🥁🥁🥁🎼🎼🎼
This is one of the most interesting and revealing interviews with Duran Duran I have seen. I loved hearing them describe the making of "Ordinary World." But, as I had suspected, there seems to be so much more to this song than even the members of the band realize. One thing that makes the song so powerful is the amazing turn about of perspective. Usually it is the Rockstar world we are all aspiring toward. In the 80s, D2 allowed us to be a part of their world, and we experienced the wonderment of their ascension through them. Now they are in place to begin to move toward our world. In the song, "Ordinary World" they are on a journey toward experiencing for the first time, the mundaneness of what the rest of us "ordinary people" know, and they don't, and we welcome them into our lives in a special way, now that we have known theirs. To the ears of the normal person it sounds like an anthem written for us. It is an ode to our ordinary world of school buses, doing dishes, walking the dog, paying taxes, etc. etc. Also the word "ordinary" is rife with poetic significance in a countless number of ways. One could analyze this song for days. Either way, keep singing it guys, it will never get old.
The first time I heard Ordinary world I was leaving my grandmother's funeral and it brought me to tears. Grandma knew I loved them and here they had written a song that expressed how I felt about her leaving me.
Fantásticos Duran Duran los mejores y más fabulosos del mundo
