I'm glad to see this house getting your attention. I visited their beautiful shop last year in Edinburgh, and couldn't get Paradisi out of my mind. Went back there a few weeks ago and tried it again, and bought it! It's unfortunate that not all their fragrances can be sampled though. The notes list for Paradisi is
    IMPRESSION
Pear, Rhubarb, Grapefruit, Honeysuckle, Orange, Guava, Cucumber, Pink Pepper, Magnolia, Passionflower.
    FADE
Tree Moss Absolute, Mushroom, Cedarwood, Patchouli, Soil.

So happy to see y’all talk about Jorum, I think they’re in the thick of a very exciting period in their development. Hope you’ll talk about their newer work soon, too (Gorseland, Spirit Cask, Healing Berry, Pony Boy, etc.)

I blind bought carduus and was super pleased. But from the sample set, the one I couldn’t and still can’t get out of my head is medullary ray. A lot of strange and interesting perfumes lose their luster after several sniffs once you get to know them. but not medullary ray. It keeps the head tilted in that perplexed-dog kinda way. I love it!

These all sound amazing, unique a bit crazy in a very good way. Great video as always. I think I might need a sample set of these beauties.

I own Carduus and Phloem. I agree fully with your impressions of Carduus, the spices are so rich and invigorating and it’s very easy to wear. Phloem is a weird perfume but it has happy associations to me. The inkiness/oiliness you mentioned smells to me like roasted sweet nuts at a carnival, or hot sesame candies.
My wife owns Gorseland which is a green fragrance I think you would love, and I’d also recommend Fantosmia which is a dark inky saffron leather.

You gotta try the rest! Athenaeum is a fave, Trimerous & Medullaray ray are my other 2 most worn. phloem kinda reminds me of some mango chuntney and i just cant do it 😵‍💫 the new line is great to, Healing Berry takes the iris in a summery direction

As an American who has yet to visit your part of the world, I’ve yet to smell something naturally peaty, aside from some Scotch, which can’t be the best source. Intrigued by Medullary-Ray, therefore. Thanks for this review.

Want to try this brand but I find it a bit odd that they have so many perfumes but haven’t made a single new sample set outside of the first one

Loved this review. And Carduus is what I ended up buying when I tested them. There are a few others in their range that I'll be getting too. Gorseland is great as is Elegy.

I've tried a few of Jorum Studio's fragrances and ended up purchasing Carduus because of its uniqueness. I find that I don't wear it that often and sometimes find it challenging to wear and I think it is because of the chamomile, which my nose seems to zero in on. Longevity is very good. Although not similar in smell, the wearing experience of Carduus (for me) is similar to L'Artisan's Bois Farine -- which is also a bit of an odd one. Of the newer Jorum fragrances, I like Firewater. Thanks for your thoughts. I was curious what you would make of Carduus!
